The best pad Thai . I have ordered it with crispy chicken, beef and chicken. All very flavorful and delicious . I always eat the whole thing even after I am stuffed. Tom kha Gai also my go to soup. Rich and very appetizing! So good. Unfortunately, there were few items that was not that good. Their appetizer chicken wings - sauce was good but wings were malnutrition(tiny) and not much flavor. I had green curry with salmon - didn't have much curry taste and under seasoned. I will probably stick with pad Thai and Tom kha gai if I visit next time. read more

The service is outstanding/excellent. The atmosphere is a freshly interpreted Asian style. The tables and chairs are nicely spaced. Even with a fair amount of customers you don't have to wait long for your order. The cook is a master of his craft. The quality of the ingredients he chooses is superb and he knows how to bring forth a brilliant flavor. Absolutely excellent Thai food! I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon Thai banyan in downtown Wiesbaden with a few friends. We stopped in for lunch and the prices were great too. One of our favorite places downtown so far. The tables are a little close to each other but not a huge deal. The Thai basil chicken (kraprow/gra prow, I've seen it spelled both ways) is fantastic and has the perfect amount of kick to it. My husband gets dishes with duck and has loved them each time he's ordered them. I will say just to play it safe and call for reservations, especially on weekend nights. read more

This place is phenomenal, and I'm so happy I finally found some good curry! I love the ambiance and decor here; it's a very laid back and relaxing environment. I had yellow curry with pork and Thai iced tea. I can't rave about these two things enough. My husband had an egg noodle dish with duck & ginger soy sauce, and it was amazing as well. Everything was so flavorful. We were there for their lunch menu; prices were very reasonable and portion sizes were good. We paid under 30 euro for both dishes, two Thai iced teas, and a large glass of water. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back. We found our new date night spot! read more

4 and not 5 stars because they can't make pad Thai vegetarian without the fish sauce. So I had to order panang curry which I rarely do because it's usually not to my satisfaction but I was happily surprised!! It needed some doctoring as they didnt add any of the radish required to make it legit! I added the light brown sauce given in the spice cart. Don't try the one w cut up red peppers as that is fish sauce. The brown sauce was delicious and made it just right!! Service was good, they were busy so it took time but it wasn't because they were inattentive. I would come back for the panang and that's saying a lot! Plus it was packed w business men and locals so it was good sign. Recommend making reservation if you have a big group. Other people's dishes looked great as well. This is my first time here at Thai Banyan. I ordered deep fried Tilapia with Thai chili oil and tamarind sauce. It's so fresh and very tasty.. Recommended!! Also, the dessert, vanilla ice cream with roti, is very yummy. The table setting is real nice, charming, and romantic. The service is more than excellent. Staffs are so friendly and polite. Tried the place because my favorite Thai restaurant in the area was packed. The staff was friendly and they had a large selection, but my chicken pad see ew was completely flavorless. My friend said his shrimp dish was also very bland. The shrimp/chicken toast appetizer was very good and the vegetables were all very fresh and cooked well. read more

This place is excellent. Gets very packed, so make a reservation. Ate here twice already, did is very tasty. Friend ordered a chicken/veggies dish for lunch but the chicken was left out. She said the food tasted good anyway. I ordered a seafood/veggie dish for dinner (140, i believe) and it was very good. On a second occasion i ordered a shrimp pad thai dish for lunch and it was also very good. Highly recommend this place, just make reservations or risk getting turned away. Service also quite good: there are so many little Thai men running around you may get the feeling that you are in some sort of paradise, with someone to assist you at the drop of a hat. They obviously run a very successful business here, which must be the reason that the vegetables in my food were slightly overcooked instead of being wonderfully Asian al dente. Running a successful Asian food business in Germany must mean inevitably lessening the spicy content, and overcooking your vegetables... Is that really a reason not to give them five stars? We love this Thai food restaurant. Food is freshly prepared, they're happy to adjust ingredients to your liking. The duck dishes are excellent, pad thai is just right, love all their noodle dishes in fact. My husband really enjoys the curry dishes, which are placed on the table above a flame to keep the curry at a nice temperature. The wait staff is very efficient even when it's very busy. Walked 1.5k to eat here. We had a party of 5, there were 2 2 person tables available right next to each other. We said we would make it work, The lady said they were for couples only. Thai Banyan is in the top five percent of restaurants I have eaten in 10 years. The service is a great, the food comes out pretty quick and the Long Island Ice-Ts are excellent. I have been looking for a great Thai restaurant in the Wiesbaden area. My mother in law came into town and was interested in Thai food as well. We searched this restaurant, read reviews, so we decided to check it out. The staff was quick to take our order. The pad Thai was delicious. The spring rolls were okay. The atmosphere was pleasant and so clean. The prices were so reasonable compared to what they've been at other Thai places nearby. I was so happy with the experience. I will be back soon! read more
