First time here in the neighborhood and wanted thai foods on Saturday's night, this place is very close to the hotel we stayed at. We ordered deep fried spring rolls, chicken satay, pad kraw pao (basil sauce) with tofu and beef steak with basil sauce. Beware of not getting what you order and what you get due to discrepancy of their dine in menu vs take out menu. The server gave us a dine in menu to look at when we ordered sn order for take out. Dine in menu stated basil sauce comes with spring bean, onion, carrot and bell pepper but I got basil sauce with bamboo shoot, egg plants, carrot, onion and bell pepper with 8 tofu (picture proof). Problem is I can't eat bamboo shoot. For beef with basil sauce, I didn't eat it but my hubby said it tasted bland..almost flavorless...ouch Chicken satay was a disappointing, extremely sweet plus no pickle veggies which usually serves with this dish. Beef dish was so chewy...rubber band texture...you know what it feel like... Waste my money and $8 tips for this take out. My first and last time for this place. Great Thai food. Surprised by the poor reviews. For rural New Hampshire, this quality of Thai is impressive. The Pho (Vietnamese) was outstanding as well. Also had the green curry which was delicious. They used Thai eggplant but Italian basil, great flavor. Would absolutely come back. Based on taxes in NH, restaurants should have much lower prices, this one included. $9-$10 would have been more suitable, but I notice food in NH in general is a little pricey. read more

The food is below average thai and pho.. A tad too salty. Best you do not eat in.The floor throughout is strewn with dirt and discarded debris. Walls are stained with food. The outside waiting area had a small bag of garbage on the floor. The waitor comes to our table doesn't say anything just nods implying we are to speak our order. No reservations taken. These Yelp reviews are utterly baffling. Not to sound like a total pretentious arse but I've been to Thailand and eat Thai food in NYC on the regular... which means I'm an avid Thai food fan. For the past 4 years, we have stopped at Thai 9 during our annual ski trip to Loon. The service has always been wonderful, the place is clean, it's BYOB (uhhh-mazing) and the food is excellent. The veggies are really fresh, excellent selection of vegetarian options, good portion sizes and great spiciness level. Some of the dishes on our table: Drunken Noodles with Shrimp, Pad Thai with tofu, Spicy Shrimp & Scallops, and a lot of Tom Yum soup. Although they didn't have an ice bucket for our white wine we brought, they quickly made by using a water pitcher filled with ice. We always have a great time at Thai 9 and the restaurant is pretty dead when we're there (usually a week night). And for the people complaining that the staff don't speak English? Grow up, this is an authentic Thai restaurant run by people who are from Thailand so practice some patience. read more

The best Thai food in the town . My friend and i came here on a Saturday night and we were very impressed. I had the chicken satay drunken noodle and spicy basil duck. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it's true - Thai 9, which is way the hell up in Lincoln, NH, has the best Thai food on the planet. The menu is extensive and the dishes, such as the Basil Fried Rice and the Mango Curry, are colorful, fresh and smell like HEAVEN. One word of caution if you like spicy food - I had the Yellow Curry and asked for 'medium' spice - it was hot as hell. But worth it. :) The restaurant is run by an adorable family and the service is always attentive. They're a welcome sight in Lincoln, where your dining options are limited to pizza joints, tavern food, or the overpriced, overrated 'Dinner Train'. One other word of caution - Thai 9 doesn't serve alcohol. The good news? It's BYOB, and at no extra charge. We often splurge for dinner here after a long day hiking, and I'll grab a random assortment of cheap beers from the fridge to bring with us. While it's a shame to pair such exquisite food with a Bud Light, the option to BYOB is great. Anyone that has left a negative review must have gone to a different restaurant. My boyfriend and I found this place after a trip to loon and had some of the best Thai food in New England. The service was also great, it's family run and the whole family are delightful! I have a lot of food allergies and they were very accommodating. We now drive 1 and a half hours to Lincoln, NH, just for Thai 9! We have had a majority of the menu, and every dish was delicious. A half quart of green curry chicken is 13 dollars. Smh! Seems kinda over priced. I was thinking maybe it was gonna be the best green curry chicken since the price was so high. Went here twice during an 11 day vacation in Lincoln. The first time I had the Pineapple Fried Rice. The portion size was huge. The flavor was excellent. My travel mate had Pa Nang but thought it more of a Red Curry dish. Our second time was not as enjoyable as the first. Wasn't bad just not as good. Ordered the dumplings for appetizer and was a little disappointed that they were crispy. Assumed they were steamed. My meal was a Veggie Pad Thai. The first couple of bites had a seafood taste, which may have made me biased to the rest of the meal. I loved the large amount of veggies in the dish. My wife had the pineapple fried rice and I had the traditional Pad Thai, both were cooked to near perfection. We will definitely return. We've been coming to Lincoln quite regularly for over 5 years, but hadn't tried this until last night. We called ahead to place an order for pickup, and everything went well. The order was ready when we arrived, the items were correct, and the food was great! No complaints.... we will definitely try it again. The interior looks nice as well... cozy and warm. We ended up eating here since the line for flapjacks was too long. Service was ok considering there seemed to be only one waitress for the whole restaurant, but would be poor if there were several waiters. Food took a bit longer than normal to arrive, but there was a sign posted that informed customers that preparation time would be longer since foods were prepared from scratch. It also thanked customers for their patience in advance. For drinks we got Thai iced coffee and tea. The Thai iced tea was too sweet. The coffee was just right in terms of sweetness and coffee strength. Crab Rangoon unappealing as they were flatter and smaller than expected. Tofu triangles were enjoyable especially with the peanut sauce, but the outside could have been crispier. Tamarind dominated the Tom Yum soup making it more sour than others I've tried. The Tom Kha was a better option since the coconut milk in the broth cut down the sourness. Seafood mixed into the soup was of good quality and included scallops, mussels and squid rings (no imitation crab!). Pad Thai and drunken fried rice were on the wet side, so might be off putting if you favor the drier types. Flavorwise pad thai was average and the drunken fried rice was good. Avocado curry, Massaman curry with avocados, was excellent. read more
