Not only did he have me do extreme weights on the pull machine, he did it twice and when I told him I was injured, he did extensive nerve testing. That was the icing on the cake. I've never been the same, and in constant nerve pain from shoulder to full palm and all the fingers and thumb. The manager and I talked and he said he talked with Juan, but was defensive. Asked if I wanted to come back and work with him. NO! It is also cookie cutter atmosphere, huge open space and a lot of people at once.

Two and a half months later, I was able to regain my range of motion and strength in the affected area as well. I owe my recovery to Dr. Talia Strahler, she was wonderful, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout this entire process! I would guess that people oftentimes have questions if they'll ever fully recover from comparable surgeries or feel that the process might be too difficult. I had similar thoughts and feelings, but once I got here they all went away. This recovery was definitely a team effort and I thank everyone so much for being the absolute best. It was such a welcoming environment, the staff is easy to communicate with. Scheduling is very easy and flexible, it's wonderful to get reminder text messages about upcoming appointments. Again, everyone is so friendly that oftentimes the work you're doing doesn't really feel like work because you're being checked-in on and/or there is great music playing in the background. This was an experience that I will not forget, nor the people involved! I know that if I ever need physical therapy again that I'll come back here in a heartbeat. Before & after surgery I continued to go with him. When I noticed his heart health declining Dr Katie helped track these changes, resulting in his having urgent heart surgery for a 90% arterial blockage. We both continue to go for physical health maintenance improving the quality of our lives & helping us stay independent, living in our own home & enjoying our lives. Staff are knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, and treat us well. I've been in physical therapy before in several states before moving to Texas. Texas Rehab Specialist is an amazing place to seek therapy services. My two year old son has more…read morediagnosis than any two year old should have but everyone works extremely well with him. Speech goes above and beyond each and every session. Ms. Letty the speech language pathologist assistant is fun and bubbly and always puts a smile on my son's face. Occupational therapy is great as well! Mrs. Jasmine the occupational therapist works hard every single day. After working two locations she's still extremely patient and adaptive to my son. If he wants to be jumping on the trampoline then she's bringing everything for their session into the trampoline. With his difficult behaviors- I get to sit and be present during sessions (when he's not being cooperative) or I can sit in the waiting room. Everyone works hard to provide the best services for my child. I'll admit, having an autistic kid (among many other medical conditions) isn't the easiest job in the world, and can be overwhelming at times but these therapist can handle difficult kids and situations as if they've done it all the time. We were referred due to my son having severe developmental delays, but after coming to TRS-within 6 months my son has had incredible growth. He still has a long way to go but with these therapist there's no doubt in my mind that he won't get there. I love this place, a big thank you to Anne, Asrani, Bryan, and Kim- they are absolutely amazing people. We're happy to be here receiving their services!

I have a great aftercare plan as well. I loved the location, ease and cost (free!) of parking. The environment was professional, but really fun. Mostly, I'm grateful that I was in good hands (literally!) and the result was extremely positive. Due to an urgent personal situation I had reschedule my Friday 11 AM appointment to Mon or Tue next week - just 2-3 days away. They consider this a cancellation within 24 hours - agreed i called at 11.26 am on Thu, but i was surprised that a reschedule is considered a cancellation. Their written policy at the centre states cancellation within 24 hours or no show incurs a $50 fee - but nothing about rescheduling. The lady on the phone tells me that rescheduling for the same week doesn't incur any penalty but rescheduling for the next week is considered a cancellation (?). And even if i wanted to reschedule for the same day - Friday, they didn't have any appointments left - but its still my problem to pay a penalty! The ridiculousness of their policy is just outrageous.

They made me comfortable starting day one when I walked (hobbled) into the door. I had a total hip replacement and they worked with me on the goals I wanted to achieve. The checked in with my pain levels, improvements to my pain, hip flexibility and strength, and overall progress. My brother tore both ligaments in both knees due to a fall and had to have them surgically repaired which left his legs unable to bend without therapy. Our goal is to get full range of motion back. This will be a difficult journey but we intend with the help of his Therapist to get back to normal activities. I will update as time goes by but we are off to a great start.
