I can imagine that the positive reviews of this place are only because they haven't experienced a different therapy office so they have nothing to compare it too. That was me before we switched away from KidTherapy and to another PT. My daughter saw Jenny for PT about 3 times before we switched. The front desk staff are nice, but Jenny started our sessions 5-10 minutes late all 3x (which is significant when the session is only 30 minutes). She would oftentimes be rushing through the front door when we were in the lobby as her first patient for the day. She was a lovely person, but now it angers me to realize how my daughter was not receiving proper guidance & care. During our evaluation she took zero notes; just drew little drawings to try to show me what exercises to do at home. The evaluation at the other office had a full rubric/the PT took notes on her computer, etc. Multiple times Jenny would tell me "You should be a PT!" when I would share my observations of my daughter's gross motor skills. And I kept thinking "I'm only doing this because she's not receiving the guidance that she needs." I would leave appointments feeling more overwhelmed and had more questions than I arrived having. Jenny would frequently ask me to remind her what we did last time or what exercises we were working on; things that should have been recorded by the professional we were paying for the session. Overall, it was not a professional experience and I was right to trust my gut and try a different therapy center, because the difference has been night and day. My daughter has made more progress elsewhere in 1 session than she did in 3 sessions over 1.5 months at KidTherapy. read more

We love this center. They love what they do and they all work hard to help us all out. Our therapist Bethany is simply a joy. Since day one she's had a sweet connection with our son and bringing out the very best. He's sitting here next to me right now talking away. will not return. we had our initial evaluation this past week. i had already completed all the online forms explaining why we were making the appointment and also uploaded evaluations from school explaining the diagnosis. then when we came for the in person evaluation, the therapist kept asking me why i felt like my child's symptoms were a problem. and repeatedly referred to his symptoms as problems in front of him. to be clear, i dont think my son has any problems and have never said that, but she used that word repeatedly in front of him which i think is really terrible. read more

The negative reviews on this place are dated. I have only ever seen wonderful people lovingly and patiently working with kids. I am happy to have my kid here. His therapist is caring, knowledgeable, and is helping him progress. I can't imagine what else you could want in a facility. I am thankful there are therapists pouring their lives into our children! I had scheduled an appointment for my child today but it was canceled without any advance notification. The receptionist unapologetically offered to rebook my appointment after she said she tried calling my cell phone twice, which was a lie since I have no missed calls or voicemail messages from her. Minus two stars for complete unprofessionalism. For the two minutes I was here, I have to say they probably did me a favor. The place looked like a bit dumpy. Everything in the lobby was just dirty and worn and had that "never been cleaned bottom-of-the-ballpit" feel. Minus two more stars for being disgusting. Thankfully they had a big jug of hand sanitizer on the counter, which I generously applied before going out to the car to book an appointment with a different speech therapist down the road. read more

I took my 9 week old baby in for an evaluation and was extremely uncomfortable with how dirty the facility was... I considered leaving immediately but wanted to stay to be polite (and also because it has been very difficult to find in-network therapists in Austin). They asked me to lay her down on a mat that was covered in hairs, dirt, and other debris. When I asked for it to be cleaned off first, they were unable to find cleaning supplies and put a stained sheet on top of the mat instead. It seems I didn't just catch them on a "bad day" as other reviewers here have commented on how dirty it is there. read more

My son has been coming here since mid February 2018. I always get reminder appointment emails. I really love the therapist who works with my son and when we had to reschedule to a time my therapist wasn't there, the other therapist was also really great. They were very flexible in working my son in when we needed to reschedule on a short notice. I have seen much improvement in my son speech since we started coming here. My son loves to come here and I am very satisfied with the services. read more

Wasn't impressed. Initially told by the office staff (after they'd spoken to my insurance) that EACH Visit would be $44 for my daughter. Visit = 45 min. Waited a couple weeks before paying a total bill and was shocked it was three times what I expected. Then told that I had been misinformed and that it was in fact $44 per 15 MINUTES. Are you joking me!!!!!!!?????? That's with comprehensive insurance. Icing on the cake was when therapist was running late one day, no apology and we finished normal time. Her running late by ten minutes saw $30 go down the drain. She was not the normal therapist and the one we normally saw was very good, my daughter liked her, we didn't stay long enough to see improvements. Additionally I don't appreciate sharing a room with another kid. Especially at that price! 45 minutes for a two year old is too long as well. Now going to central Texas speech pathology and they are a million times more professional and a third of the price! Lot cleaner too! read more

I had been taking my son here since last September. His therapists are very good, and he has able to say more words than before. He also has occupational therapy, and that has helped him with his behaviors in a way I never imagined. The rest of the place is not that great; the reception looks like it needs to be remodeled (but it's actually cleaned, OK). However, I come to the place to get therapies not to have an "experience". I'm basing my score solely on the four therapists my son gets to see for his therapies, not on the physical aspect. After all, I take my son there for THERAPIES not for the reception. read more

The person who handles accounts payments speaks so loud everyone in the waiting area hears everything she says about the client. The last three times I've gone everyone can hear her complain about people who cannot pay using their name and child's name which is a clear violation of the HIPAA act. read more

I brought my child in for an initial evaluation and for about 3 treatment sessions after. I was not satisfied with the facility. There's a lack of professionalism from the receptionist area and gave me the wrong appointment time. After giving me the wrong appointment time, they did not even apologize to me. The facility always looks dirty and extremely cheap. Even the toys my child was played with looked dirty or looked like they were toys from a garage sale. During my time there, my child had 3 different therapists which let me know the turn-over rate was extremely fast. Also, my child never received one-on-one therapy treatment because they have cardboard dividers dividing the room into 3 sections. I now take my child to a cleaner and professional place down the road. read more

We've been at Kidtherapy for ages and have always been treated with courtesy and respect. With such a long track record, we've have seen therapists come and go but nevertheless have continually received enthusiastic and professional therapy sessions. Paying out-of-pocket for our son's sessions isn't ideal but he's totally worth it! Finally, we would be lost without Ms. Lisa's OT services!! read more

I started taking my son to Kid therapy about 3 months when he had medicaid insurance and it was free. A month later his medicaid insurance ended and i had to use my medical insurance which i share with him, therefore making the copay not easy for me to come by. I wanted to stop speech therapy for my son due to the co payment, but with the changes i notice in my son's speech, i just could not stop going back. The therapist are very compassionate and understanding even when i cannot make it, they encourage me and my son to keep trying and this has really bring a great impact in my son's life. I started receiving feedback from daycare that my son is talking more. His teacher was surprise at the improvement on his speech for the first month of therapy. This place is the best place if you are having difficulties with your child's speech development. You can tell even the other parents who come here for other forms of therapy for their kids are very happy with what this place offer to their kids. This place has been a magic peel for my son. He is always happy going in with the therapy and telling mommy bye. read more
