Texas Rehab Specialist is an amazing place to seek therapy services. My two year old son has more diagnosis than any two year old should have but everyone works extremely well with him. Speech goes above and beyond each and every session. Ms. Letty the speech language pathologist assistant is fun and bubbly and always puts a smile on my son's face. Occupational therapy is great as well! Mrs. Jasmine the occupational therapist works hard every single day. After working two locations she's still extremely patient and adaptive to my son. If he wants to be jumping on the trampoline then she's bringing everything for their session into the trampoline. With his difficult behaviors- I get to sit and be present during sessions (when he's not being cooperative) or I can sit in the waiting room. Everyone works hard to provide the best services for my child. I'll admit, having an autistic kid (among many other medical conditions) isn't the easiest job in the world, and can be overwhelming at times but these therapist can handle difficult kids and situations as if they've done it all the time. We were referred due to my son having severe developmental delays, but after coming to TRS-within 6 months my son has had incredible growth. He still has a long way to go but with these therapist there's no doubt in my mind that he won't get there. My husband started going to Dr. Katy eight years ago after we moved to New Braunfels. He is a disabled Veteran with over 33 yrs service which has left him with health issues. It has made a b8g difference with his physical issues. After I needed help before spinal surgery several years ago (age related) I started seeing Dr. Katie too. Before & after surgery I continued to go with him. When I noticed his heart health declining Dr Katie helped track these changes, resulting in his having urgent heart surgery for a 90% arterial blockage. We both continue to go for physical health maintenance improving the quality of our lives & helping us stay independent, living in our own home & enjoying our lives. Staff are knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, and treat us well. I've been in physical therapy before in several states before moving to Texas. This is easily the best, most knowledgeable group of therapists I've ever worked with. Highly recommend!! read more

When you think physical therapy you usually make a face because you have to be here- you don't want to. Well I am here again after some long term injury that required imaging and an ortho visit. I love this place. The people are wonderful! I see Katie Schweitzer and I love how she's my age, up to the latest medical studies and findings. She listens to my thoughts and expectations and is also very intelligent and vocal with me on what her expectations are and why. I really do love everyone here from the front desk and more. I'm so grateful to my doctor for referring me to Texas Physical Therapy Specialists (New Braunfels) -- my issue was completely resolved in just one visit! Alyssa Watts, PT, really took the time to listen to my whole story without rushing me, which I deeply appreciated. After doing a few targeted exercises together, I felt back to normal by the time I got home--like the problem had never existed. I honestly feel a little silly for waiting six months to get help. I didn't even realize physical therapy could address this kind of issue, so I'm extra thankful for the referral. If you're on the fence about trying PT, don't wait--just go. After a hard fall I ended up with 'frozen shoulder'. I just could not use my left arm at all. Dr Katie Schweitzer took on my therapy and though it has been painful I am getting better and better every week. I highly recommend the Common St. therapists. They are awesome. read more

I highly recommend this location. They are very friendly, considerate, caring and knowledgeable. They are always very encouraging and give explanations for the exercises you do. Cory is my therapist and I have totally benefited from the therapy I have done and my ongoing therapy. He has provided me with exercises to help me improve that I can do at home as well. Everyone from the front desk to the therapy area are excellent and I am so happy that I chose to use this location again. My first experience was about 10 years ago so I knew this the location to use. Best place ever!!! read more

My wife had a very poor experience with the 'Central Scheduling' system. But once that hurdle was overcome, she has been very pleased with the care she has received to rehab her shoulder post-Rotator cuff surgery. Caring and empathetic attitudes are obvious from the professional staff. The proof is in the results - she is back to full capability with no pain. I have since started receiving therapy myself for an SI joint issue. I bypassed the Central Scheduling headache and called directly to get an appointment. I was impressed from my first contact - starting with the front desk and then with the extensive evaluation by the therapists and recommended therapy. I expect I will have a very positive result...I'll update at the end of the therapy. read more

Watch out! Theses guys are only Clinical Doctors not MD's. Dr. Pancho ( so he calls himself) did a diagnosis for bursitis. ( never received a diagnosis or treatment plan in writing) He said that he would talk to my orthopedic doctor but never did. I did the physical therapy while he played on his computer. I told him that I still had a lot of pain and he said " just keep up the physical therapy ". Finally went to my orthopedic surgeon and was informed that I need hip replacement and that phy therapy would do no good. In my opinion the guy is a hack. The other Dr. there seems to be a lot more hands on with his patients. They also could not provide me with a breakdown of the payment with the insurance. When I asked for a copy of the bill I was told that they didn't have a way to give me a copy. WHAT! Seems to me he doesn't care about the patients just the payment. I will never recommend the place. read more

I have been receiving care from Dr. Kayte Forrester for the last month for lipedema and knee (total knee replacement) and hip issues. She has been diligent in her approach to make me more comfortable and strengthen my areas of issue while being conscientious about my back implant. She listens to my concerns and addresses them. I am very pleased with the overall attention, ease of scheduling and the facilities. I still have more sessions to go but, I see the improvement! read more

Do not go here. Spent 6 months in rehab there - twice a week. They have PT students rotating through, of which I had 3 different ones in 6 months time. They were all nice kids, but they are students. The PT in charge of them only spoke to ME about 2x/month. I walked in with a cane and out with a cane after 6 months. The room centers around one large table where all the therapists congregate. They spend most of their time talking and laughing with each other, run over to start your next exercise, and then go back to talking with each other.. They have lots of PT assistants to start the exercises, but they are often unfamiliar with your exercise and weight amount. The environment is very chaotic when busy. Although i had a complicated problem, no one suggested I see a doctor or did not refer me to a Dr. The co-pays were always different even though my exercises were exactly the same most of the time. I left there for another provider, Results Physiotherapy, in New Braunfels, Results Physiotherapy - TOTALLY different. Physical Therapist stays with you the whole hour. They immediately referred me to a Dr for nerve conduction testing. And planned my therapy accordingly. And the co-pays are lower!! Go figure.... After I left TX PT. I found many other people who had the same problems I had at TX PT. Try any of the Results Physiotherapy offices in the San Antonio area - I saw Patricia Grones in New Braufels. She is awesome! Results Physiotherapy is new to the area and looks at PT in a new and improved way. You will not be sorry you tried Results Physiotherapy!! read more

I injured my lower back somehow song Crossfit and tried chiropractic care, Airrosti and my GP but to no avail after 6 weeks. I went to TPTS and Dr. Justin Simon was fantastic. He was clear about the road to recovery, was helpful and kind, and was constantly evaluating my progress and adjusting the course when needed. Dry needling seemed to help me a lot, and I was so glad after 8 weeks to finally begin to feel the pain lessen and my range of motion increase. In total I went there for 3.5 weeks on average 1-2 tones/week and I'm happy to say I'm 100% pain free and back to my regular activities! It helped that my insurance made my 1-2 visits/week only $15-$25 (my insurance changed midway). read more

My care at Texas Physical therapy was top notch. Alyson Ellis was in charge of my care and she knew exactly what to. Do to treat my issue. My wife went to another Physical therapy and never received the care that I had. I would recommend this facility for your choice of therapy. read more

Went in with shoulder pain and the inability to move my left arm. For a nice payment of 100 for each visit, I was given pulley exercises, bad and impatient looks and a 15-20 minute visit. Now they are calling for money owed on a bill. Should have listened to everyone and steered clear. Worst experience ever and absolutely NO HELP for my pain. read more

I am very happy with this office. They are friendly, caring and truly interested in your individual care. They do have students in training but I have never felt that I wasn't getting the best therapy possible. I began improving after just 3 trips and I have gained much more range of motion. read more

Facility is nice. People are kinda too cutesy with their interaction with patients. Billing is a nightmare. They never had it right what my insurance copay was supposed to be and kept overcharging me. Even when I took in a statement from my insurance what my copay was supposed to be, they kept overcharging me. The billing dept is off site and the patient has to call them personally. Another third party handles the insurance payments. So no one person knows anything. I had a credit due but had to call to ask for a check to be mailed. I cut my treatments short because of the hassle. read more
