Because we were early, not all of the self-serve bar/salad bar items were out yet, but they were populating it as we were there so it wasn't an issue. They were very accommodating with bringing out meat just for us even though we were the only ones in this restaurant at the moment. By the time we left, a few couples had come in and been sat, but even at 7PM it was still not busy. All in all though, it was an excellent experience with excellent food and I wouldn't hesitate to come here again if I was in Guarulhos again. (It was my first time having duck hearts too! They weren't bad, but it isn't really a food I'd ever get excited over).

It would take over 10-15 minutes just to get another slice of Picanha, yet they kept bringing bottom sirloin and other cuts. Also, the bottom sirloin was not as good as the other Churrascarias in Sao Paulo (Jardineria, Barbacoa, etc...). The pincaha was still very good at this location, but you could tell they were trying to get rid of their other cuts first. The staff also kept messing up our bill. For the price point and quality of the other cuts, it's just not worth it. There are too many other great Churrascarias around the city. For the record, I only went because of how close it was to my hotel. I'm actually surprised the Fogo de Chao in the states have better quality and service.

Sadly, I did not find the Churrascaria do Bosque to be better than the Fogo De Chao. In fact, it was not as good. Choosing this place was easy as they have a shuttle and were willing to come pick us up at the Airport Marriott where we were staying. They do get points for that. Once there, however, the food was just OK and I even found some of the meat to be overcooked or over-seasoned. There was a ton of food, just none of it was particularly good. Stay away from the house red wine. It was undrinkable and I should have ordered beer instead. Overall, I took away a couple of stars because the food was underwhelming and the prices were up there with what I would have paid in the US for better food. The service however was very attentive. They had one or two folks that spoke English and even the ones that didn't made an effort to be helpful, which I appreciated.

I grew up in São Paulo, and have been to many churrascarias over the years - this was one of the absolute best! Like all churrascarias, you need a strategy, however. Because the meat is probably the most expensive part of the meat, the salad and appetizer bar is amazing. If you want to, dive in, but go slow with the cheese bread (pão de queijo) because it will fill you up in an instant! It's probably a good idea to enjoy a little salad with hearts of palm, and even a little sushi, but save room for the picanha, which is the best cut of beef you can have at a Brazilian steakhouse! Apparently, their feijoada is to die for, so if you are in town, keep that in mind as well. It's quite expensive, even for São Paulo, but in my opinion, and many, many others - it's well worth it!
