Meh. I was hoping that while I was in Brazil I would be wowed by the Brazilian Steakhouses. We have them here in the US and I went to Fogo De Chao in Washington DC a few years back and was impressed. Sadly, I did not find the Churrascaria do Bosque to be better than the Fogo De Chao. In fact, it was not as good.
Choosing this place was easy as they have a shuttle and were willing to come pick us up at the Airport Marriott where we were staying. They do get points for that. Once there, however, the food was just OK and I even found some of the meat to be overcooked or over-seasoned. There was a ton of food, just none of it was particularly good. Stay away from the house red wine. It was undrinkable and I should have ordered beer instead.
Overall, I took away a couple of stars because the food was underwhelming and the prices were up there with what I would have paid in the US for better food. The service however was very attentive. They had one or two folks that spoke English and even the ones that didn't made an effort to be helpful, which I appreciated. read more
