I have been coming to this facility since I moved to Riverview 13 years ago. At the time it was Tower Radiology and in a much smaller part of this strip mall. I have never had an issue here. Everyone has been very kind and reassuring if the nerves kick in. My only complaint is that now the wait is long! Usually 1/2 hr or more past your appointment time. Minus a star for that! Trying to get an appointment for an MRI at multiple locations very disappointing as out 2 to 3 weeks and then once you get the MRI done getting the report as a whole Nother mom had her MRI done last week and the report is still not read. Who in the sam hell is running this location. Not once but twice within a months time I've had my appointment canceled. Shut this damn location down obviously, the staff don't want to work. What the f**k is going on there? Who is managing this place for christ sake? Tampa General needs to revamp this location because this makes no damn sense. What was supposed to be my annual mammogram turned into a $500 bill at this facility. They blamed my doctor's office for writing a code that was not "reimbursable" and took it upon themselves to change the diagnosis code to an "abnormal mammogram" code even though there was NOTHING abnormal on my mammogram. Their billing department does not CARE, i even brought concern up to a patient advocate. This place has turned into trash since being bought by TGH. Unethical fraudulent billing practices, which I will be reporting to the state for investigation. read more

I have used Tower for x-rays in the past without any problems. My Dr. had them call me to set up an MRI. It took a few days but they did call me. I set up the appointment and showed up plenty early. Once I was prepped and ready to go into the machine, we found out it was too small. my shoulders would not fit into the machine. This MRI machine was extremely small and somehow they could not tell I was a full size adult! I was without my work calendar so they scheduled me for a time when I had company meetings at what I was assured, was a larger machine. Of course I did not realise it until I got back to my work computer and needed to reschedule. Trying to schedule an MRI with TGH was a nightmare. They do not answer the phone in scheduling. I tried on numerous occasions to get a date scheduled and was often on hold for over 20 minutes before hanging up. i finally just took the "speak to someone at the desk" option and told them I needed to get scheduled. I will look for other options if I need an MRI or x-ray in the future. read more

If this is run Tampa General Hospital I will not go there! No one answers the phone anywhere especially appointments and website problems. This is the sorriest place I have seen in a long time. Took two months get MRI scheduled they shoved me into a little hole. I have had them before this was the smallest one I have been shoved into. My MD got only one report sent to her there were two? I figure the only way to get a human is to drive over there and stand at the desk until I get a person with a brain and heartbeat that can speak English. Go elsewhere! read more

I have tried REPEATEDLY to get through to Tower/TGH Imaging to schedule appointments. You can no longer schedule online, so I tried the two different numbers for scheduling. NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE! There is no option to have them call you back, so I sat on hold for 45 minutes three times before I hang up. Place has not changed. Not sure if staff is overworked or just does not care. Most of them seem to always have an attitude. It's just a job to them, take it or go elsewhere. We usually go the the Tower in New Tampa and they seem to truly care about people. We came to this one as it was the only tower in the area which does the tests needed to be done. As we waited I observed three other patients having issues from lost paperwork where they had the patient call her doc to have forms faxed over again to replace lost ones. I work in the healthcare industry, and this service is unacceptable and negligent healthcare. I never had issues with Tower Radiology; however, since TGH took over Tower, the service has been horrible. There is no excuse for patients being unable to schedule a routine exam easily. I visited them as a "walk in" because they don't make X-Ray appointments. At 8:10 am I electronically signed in, took my paperwork, and the receptionist said there were 2 people ahead of me, but it would probably be 35 minutes. No problem. At 9:00 I asked how much longer it would be. Her response was "you're next to be registered." You mean that my information wasn't even in the system yet?!?! At 9:25 it had been 1 hour, 15 minutes, I was going to walk out the door. The lady called me back at 9:30. No smile, no "sorry to keep you waiting". I was changed, X-rayed and out the door in 10 minutes. Something has got to change. If I'm the 3rd person to be seen, then see me in a appropriate time frame. I would have rated it Zero stars, but that wasn't an option. I have attempted to call TGH Imaging several times to schedule a routine mammogram. NO ONE answers the phone. I was on hold for over 20 minutes. No option to leave a message for a call-back. I tried 4 days in a row to no avail. I even attempted to go to their online scheduling option as suggested on their reminder letter. However, following here is I found (and I quote) "Thank you for your patience as we are facing higher than normal call volume. Online Scheduling is no longer available as of April 18th. We are transitioning to a new Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Patient Portal with an improved online scheduling experience for patients coming fall 2023." After using Tower Radiology for over 30 years, sadly, I am left with no other option than to seek these services elsewhere. read more

The Imaging place powered by Tower in Wesley Chapel the girl who answers the phone named Tilnilance , I don't know how to spell her name, was so rude and dishonest. Today Friday is the 23rd 2023. My appointment is monday! She calls me up saying she has to reschedule me. I told her no, you can't reschedule me because I have cancer, have a radiation app and a doctor app. And you call me 2 days before? I made an appointment a week ago!! At first she said she will look for someone else on Monday. Well guess what, she didn't. I had called back and she kept saying she has to reschedule me in instead again! She also said it was my fault because I hung up on her!! I got proof! I had my attorney and had her on speaker so everyone heard her! I told her I wanted to talk to the manager. She pretended to transfer me, and gets on the phone and says she's not picking up. Well she was there I found out. She hung up on me 3 times saying I hung up, what a joke she is! . I called back, got a guy named Julio. He found someone right away at another place for Monday!!! I spoke to the Manager Martha and told her they need to get rid of that girl. The manager said she will not tolerate employees like her. Julio was great! Respectful, nice, and did his job well! I visited the Bruce B Downs location in Tampa for CT. The first impression{negative) was at the entrance. Parking lot full of debris, discarded face masks and gloves just outside entry. The landscaping is mostly dead or overgrown. At check in the front desk clerk had very long press on nails each a different color and was decked out with tattoos. The bathrooms need some attention and new paint. This is a very unprofessional atmosphere. TGH should be embarrassed to have their name associated with this facility! read more

The only reason for 4 stars was the professional care I got at Tower. Great technician. But GOOD LUCK at getting in on the phone to make an appointment. Almost 3 hours on the phone and 2 requests online over 3 days. Excuse was (when I finally got to talk to a live person) that since TGH took over Tower they don't have enough workers in "central reservations" which is stupid. I would put a negative star review if I could. My mother had an appointment yesterday for a bone density and a mammogram and she was treated with completer disrespect from start to finish. She spoke to the supervisor who made excuses about her rude staff and incompetence of scheduling. Extremely poor customer service and she won't be back and we will not recommend this facility to neighbors or friends. The one star can go to the women performing the bone density, my mother said she was pleasant and may want to find another employer so her reputation won't get tarnished by the others staff members incompetence. read more

Took my wife for an ultrasound at their Oldsmar location. Being a new location wasn't available in google maps. OK understandable. While scheduling the appointment, I clearly mentioned that we wanted a ultrasound for 2 sections of the body, as requested by our doctor. We turn up, downing 2 bottles of water, the reception accepts to doctors form with the same information. After the scan was complete, the radiologist mentions that oh there an another body part as well and that we would have to wait until the next patient was done. I am like what the patient is here right now and you are here right now. whats the hold up? she goes on to give me some crap about inputs to the machine and that we can schedule appointment for another day. Now my wife bladder is full and she'd been holding it for 2 hours now. Zero consideration when asked how long it would take with the next patient and if we could be squeezed it as it was their fault for not recognizing the procedures to be done. I was quite stunned when the radiologist continued to chit chat with the receptionist while my wife tried to hold it in, waiting for her to get done with the next patient. Baffled honestly. After 5 mins of waiting, my wife was in pain and we decided to leave. New location or not work on your customer service and request you to empathize a little with a patient in pain. I would not recommend coming to tower radiology. Scheduling here is a nightmare and if you need any urgent imaging you will not get it here. When I showed up for my appointment they were very rude, dismissive, and acted like I was late when in reality I was on time but had to wait so long for them to even call me up, even though I signed in on time. The billing department was extremely rude! They hung up on my Mother in Law! Tower on Myrtle Oak in Wesley Chapel, made a mistake and sent my child's bill to my Husband's Father. I called to have the mistake corrected and was REPEATEDLY LIED to and told that the address was the information that was filled out at the time of service. I know that is not true. I want to know how they got the wrong address?? I asked three times if the person had either the form or a copy of the form that was actually filled out at Tower. Three times she implied that she was indeed looking at that form. When pressed further, she admitted that she did not have access to the form and I would have to speak to the Tower location directly. Of course I cannot get through to Tower after multiple tries. I wanted to find out why my bill was going to the wrong address and then have it corrected. I am not confident that I will receive the bill at the correct address. We shall see. The sad thing is that if I had never received a bill, I would go to collections. Healthcare is already difficult to deal with, especially with Covid running rampant. My father has a rare and severe neurological disease. He will eventually lose the ability to speak, walk, and even feed himself. For years we have gone from diagnosis to diagnosis and finally settled on two possible diseases. Both are horrifying, but at least he can start treatment to improve his quality of life. Unfortunately, we can't get him the diagnosis he requires for treatment because this office will not cooperate with me. I've been juggling with insurances, doctors, and this radiology office. This office won't return my calls, they won't let me speak to someone who can help, and they even hung up on me in frustration when I asked to speak to a manager. Now we have to start all over again with a new place. I understand everyone is exhausted in this current healthcare climate. I get it, but people still need help. It all starts with a diagnosis and without one, people like my dad are doomed.
