Yesterday, I had to go for my very first MRI. I am claustrophobic and chose the wide Bore because due to my injury was not allowed to use the open MRI. Ashley was my tech for the procedure, and I used every hack she had to get through it. I used ear plugs and headphones they provided, squeeze ball for my right hand while I held the alert button in my left and she placed a cloth over my eyes so I would not see the flashing lights. I got through it and wanted to thank Ashley from the bottom of my heart. She says she usually works out of the Riverview location, but I was really glad she was here for me yesterday. The most unorganized, poorly run, unprofessional facility I've ever been to. Why do I need to wait 30+ minutes to make an appointment for a scan? I waited almost my entire lunch hour just to set an appointment for another day. When I couldn't wait any longer, I went to one of the booths to ask for my script back, explaining that I needed to leave. The lady sitting at the desk doing nothing but scrolling on her phone gave me the worst attitude, all because of a simple task of retrieving my paperwork. This place has lazy, miserable workers. I'm sure there are some good people working here but the bad definitely outweigh the good. This will be my last time using this location. Definitely not recommended. read more

Aside from the initial calling of my name, at no time was I addressed by my name again. For example, a nurse came in the MRI room and looked at me and waved me over. Rather than saying, "Jan, we're ready to put your IV in." Then upon going into the machine, I had noted that I was somewhat claustrophobic. I did end up pressing the panic button as I was physically having a panic attack. I was visibly shaken, heart racing and sweating. I got off the table and went into the room to change. At NO time did anyone check on me or offer water or for me to sit down. I went and sat outside on the bench still shaken, heart racing and still no one checked in on me. I do not recommend this facility as it is very impersonal especially during a stressful time. read more

So it is Sep 2024, I received x2 hip x-rays and paid $70 the same day. I like paying off the bill in full as soon as possible. It's what I do. I asked for the receipt and asked the reception if i owed anything else.....I made sure to ask and verify at least 3 times. Everything was paid in full......now I can live my life in peace. WRONG!!! It is now January 20th 2025 and I receive a text message saying that I have an outstanding balance. FML. I tried calling to see what gives....and these fks can't aren't even capable of picking up the phone. So I am steaming for the rest of the day. Next day comes.......I spend at least an hour trying to get someone to pick up the phone. I call some more and who picks up the phone.....some lady that can't even speak English. She tells me that I have a balance of $60. She wasn't even capable of telling me why this balance was on my account so i requested to speak with a manager. The manager finally is on the phone......a Male that speaks perfectly clear English....thank god. I don't know how my balance was $60, I told him I paid $70.....I have a receipt ......and this guy wants me to send him the receipt. Like......i have to now go out of my way to go to the god damn post office...buy a stamp and envelope because some a$$ wipe can't do their job. It's the morning and I'm supposed to be in my bed relaxing before my work......but instead I have to fix this fkery. The receipt had an ARC code on it that I gave the guy.....and he was satisfied with that. I told him that technically they owed me $10....and he said that they would put it back on my card. So........this company overcharges and then expects you to go out and mail back their receipts....on top of they have not even told me any results of my hip x-rays. At this point i don't even care anymore. I'm not going to any more Doctor's offices as I kind of just want to die in peace. Why go through the effort of going to a Doctor's office when they aren't even interested in giving you your results......and more interested on raping your wallet. All I have to say is thank God I didn't reproduce...so that my offspring will never have to deal with this Company. fk them. read more

Terrible. After sitting in their lobby for an hour we asked when we could expect service. They told us we were next. Another half hour passed and we asked again, we were told my appointment was cancelled because the MRI machine I was scheduled on was broken. We would have continued waiting in the lobby had we not asked what was going on. This is not the first time I have been there and an MRI machine has been out-of-service. We were told we'd have to reschedule at the scheduling desk. There was a line at the scheduling desk. As we waited, people who were there long after us were called ahead in line. After waiting another thirty minutes the person at the scheduling desk got very defensive when we complained, and told us she had no idea an MRI machine was down and appointments were being cancelled. We asked to speak to someone in charge and there seemed to be no one. We rescheduled as we were provided with no other options. I had to fast and pre-medicate for the scheduled MRI, but their entire attitude was defensive unhelpful and not their fault. This has not been the first time I have been at this facility when they've had an MRI machine break down. It would have been nice for someone to tell us our appointment had been cancelled instead of letting us sit in the waiting room for an hour, until we decided to ask what was going on. So unprofessional. I am being treated for brain cancer and central nervous system lymphoma. This wad a serious waste of my time and what little energy I have. I will try to schedule future appointments anywhere but here. read more

Avoid this location at all costs. I had a CT scan done here and just prior to the scan, I put my purse, phone and keys in the locker. Just 10 minutes after leaving, I noticed my wallet was missing from my purse and realized: Someone actually went into the locker and stole my wallet! I went back to the location and asked if someone found my wallet and everyone looked dumbfounded. Fortunately, I cancelled every credit card that was in the wallet and my social security card was not in it. Unfortunately, I have to go through the process of getting a new license as I had an out-of-state license. I'll end this the same way I started it: Avoid this location at all costs! read more

My actual clinic experience was good, the check in and billing staff were polite and professional, the tech that provided the testing was reassuring, gentle, and professional. The problem is getting the results. I established a my chart account immediately as I was told that the results would be available within 1 to 2 business days (weekends don't count). I am now in the 4th business day and still no results posted. I checked with my primary, he does not have the results either. This was a screening mammogram which is not considered a priority, and I know that I am just another pair of breasts in a screen, but waiting a long time for the results us anxiety producing. If the stated one to 2 business days us unrealistic, then patients should be given realistic information when it comes to receiving results. I had a bone density test done at the Bloomingdale Radiology Center, also TGH, and the results were posted on the MyChart portal the same day as the test. I am very anxiously waiting fory mammogram results. read more

I called 813-874-3177 to schedule annual mammogram on 11/22/2023 at 12:45pm I waited on hold 20 mins until I got a real person. This women was beyond rude. I didn't know exactly spelling of my ordering doctor and had to Google her name to spell it correctly. The women who was on call knew I was at work because she couldn't hear me so I had to step outside for better signal. She repeated how important spelling is to find the doctor in system. I said, I spelled it for you and you have it now though don't you. No need to be repeat herself once I gave her spelling. When I said, you have it now though don't you. She hung up on me! After waiting in hold 20 mins then to get hung up on. Scheduling cancer screening is stressful enough. This lady was extremely unprofessional and hanging up because she didn't like me asking her if she had name now that I spelled and no reason to keep repeating is NOT acceptable to disconnect me after my long wait. Now I do not have an appointment since I can't call and wait again for 20 mins while I work. She lacks empathy and in wrong line of work! read more

I visited for a nuclear medicine test and everyone was professional and friendly. My instructions were explained to me clearly. The waiting rooms and bathroom were clean and pleasant. The whole visit was done seamlessly. I appreciate the care I received there and would recommend to others. read more

Staff Needs to be informed about services hours or THG needs to update information on the website. Website show hours of service for Walk in X-Ray are Monday - Thursday 7:30 to 4:30. But when I got there before 4:30pm front desk said is was until 4:00 and refused provide services, and told me hours are 8-4. I just really disapointed with the lack of accurate information. read more

So nervous about having an MRI because I'm claustrophobic, I must say I could not have been treated any better. Check in is as soon as you walk through the door. Very pleasant receptionist. I probably waited 15-20 minutes before a gentleman called my name. (Wish I had paid attention to names, but I was nervous) As we walked to the room he explained every to me very well. I began to calm down. He told me how long it would take, what to expect, had me choose the type of music I wanted to listen to (rock of course) and gently put a button in my hand in case I panicked in the machine. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. My arms were very uncomfortable because I had to keep them over my head. They actually went numb! But the test finished in the time he said it would. I was told it could take up to a week for the results and that they would be sent to my Doctor. I was very impressed with this place. Very clean, masks optional, awesome staff. Although I understand that every patient will have their own experience to review, and they're ont always going to be good; personally I didn't see anything wrong with this location. Checking in was done at the door and professionally handled. There is plenty of parking directly in front of the business, and a short walk to the entrance. Upon entering you are immediately greeted a few feet from the door, temperature is checked, paperwork is handed to you and then you're called to the window for insurance verification and an immediate check in. Good so far... The wait took about 15 minutes before I was called back for my scheduled mammography. The radiology tech was very pleasant, when she informed me that I was 1 month early for my scan; so she gave me the option to continue with the appointment or to reschedule for next month- which I did. Overall the staff was friendly and respectful as far as I had observed; AND they were friendly to each other! I also observed staff explaining to patients that they were the only ones who could enter for an appointment due t to the CDC guidelines- good job! Thanks for a good appointment guys! read more

I just did call Susan, the supervisor, and she did not sound concerned while on the phone. I hung up on Susan because the more I heard a lack of concern in her voice, the angrier I became. I will be placing a review, in regards to this, at any location I find to place a review. I will also seek out to find who is above Susan, the unconcerned sounding supervisor. A few days over two weeks ago, I scheduled an appt for a ct scan with Tower Radiology, as per my doctor's instructions. I am in a lot of pain and my doctor needs to see how to help me. The day before and less than 24 hours prior to my appt, Kierston, in authorization, left a message on my phone, cancelling my appt with the excuse that they were still waiting on a response from my insurance company. I was curious as to why it would take my insurance company over two weeks to respond, so I called my insurance company only to find out that Kierston did not put in the request to them (my insurance company) until the same day that Kierston cancelled my appt, the day before and less than 24 hours of my appt. Kierston did this with knowing that it takes three to five days to get a response from the insurance company. Kierston cancelled my appt with attempting to place blame on my insurance company, when it is Kierston, or whoever works in authorization at Tower Radiology, who is to blame. They had over two weeks, ample time, to get this request in and to receive a response back. My new appt is scheduled for a week and three days after this cancelled appt. That is a few days over two weeks, plus a week and a three days longer, is four weeks I am having to wait to get this ct scan done, so that my doctor can better help me with pain management! BECAUSE someone, at Tower Radiology, did not do their job! read more

I was scheduled for a CT scan with contrast on Wednesday. They were supposed to call me about taking the contrast. Monday afternoon I had not heard from them so I called them. I got a recording that they would call me back, they never did. Tuesday afternoon I finally go in in person and ask about it. They said I could get to my appointment an hour and a half early Wednesday and take it or I could take it home with me then and take it at home. They then gave me a schedule for taking it. First I had heard of any of this and if I hadn't stopped in on my own I never would've known about it. CT scan went very well but then I had a very uncomfortable reaction to the contrast. Only after checking online did I find I should've drank 6-8 glasses of water after the scan. No one told me that either. Point seems to be; technicians are very professional, administrative help needs to be checked on very carefully. read more

A few weeks ago I wrote a negative review about Tower because of a bad experience I had there. Tower reached out to me, apologized for the incident, and rescheduled me for the very next day. Scheduled appointment for imaging well in advance to allow time for prior authorization. Arrived at the appointment and completed forms. After waiting, I was called to a reps desk to be advised that the scheduling department made a mistake with the procedure code. This required making another appointment. This is not the first time there has been a scheduling issue with Tower. The last time, there were so many issues that a manager got involved. I haven't been back until now. I thought I'd give them another opportunity. So dissapointing that issues have not been resolved. With TGH taking over, you would think they would be resolving issues. That apparently has not happened. Will not return. read more

I can't say enough about how kind and supportive the staff is at this location. My scheduling and wait time were fine - normal for a center like this. The team doing breast biopsies was amazing. They explained everything before and continued to do so during the procedures. When I started to stress out, they stopped and comforted me and were so understanding and patient. They truly cared and that is what you need at a scary time like that. read more

I arrived to the Parsons location 20 minutes before my appointment. When I got there the woman at the front desk told me my son had to wait outside, I do not have a son. She misgendered my daughter who has a head full of hair, had tights on, and a pink phone case and a sparkly backpack. She is also 9 years old and they had a sign on the front door that said minors can come in with the patients but told me I had to have "my son" wait outside. Now my 9 year old daughter is feeling bad about her appearance. Then I waited for over AN HOUR to finally be told that I needed a new script from my gynecologist, because what she wrote required a mammogram and not a sonogram. They had the script when I came & checked in @ 8:45, but told me @ 10:15 that they couldn't see me with the script. I took off work to make it to this appointment. Do not go to this location on Parsons. They are trash. read more

We are in the midst of the highest COVID infection rate in our county since the pandemic began. There was no check in procedure and people were accompanied in spite of the sign that said patients only. The receptionist was not wearing a medical mask and in any case what she wore was not pulled over her nose. No questions about my current health or vaccination status re COVID. Then she handed me "my" record to review. It was not mine but someone else's-a clear violation of HIPPAA rules. When I go in I hope the person providing the test is properly masked or I will leave. read more

Medical tests are stressful - usually. After calling around to get a fast appointment( within 2 weeks) I got an appointment in 3 days time. I had to have follow up mammograms & ultra sound & the staff was unbelievably great. The doctors office had not gotten the order right Megan & some one else worked to get the order from the doctors office filled out right, so I did not have to come back on another day. The entire place is very clean & every one was very nice. I got my tests done quickly & got my results,and even a follow up letter confirming it was all good. This place is awesome. read more

I came for a mammogram and ultrasound. Let me just say the doctors are FANTASTIC!! VERY PROFESSIONAL and courteous, also they assisted me quickly after my check in! Unfortunately i can't say about the receptionists, at least when I checked in she was kinda unfriendly and weird. I sensed it, i know ppl have bad days sometimes just don't take it out on your patients! For a neighborhood with many Spanish ppl, i felt a little awkward. I am new to the state of Florida and am still in the process of navigating through life here. That includes getting hooked up with good medical services. ~~ For an exceptionally busy facility, especially one with such a variety of imaging options, I had to give Tower Radiology Center (427 Parsons Ave., Brandon FL) a "Top A" rating. With three different procedures to be done that day and seeing a completely full parking lot outside, I honestly expected an annoying and long drawn-out afternoon with equally annoying and overworked employees. Not the case at all. I entered an efficiently running "beehive" of activity with a smooth-flowing operation in place. After being greeted by an alert receptionist at the door, my new-patient processing was quickly completed and I was directed to a waiting area with a TV. In a few brief minutes my name was called and I was escorted back to begin. Each employee had their part to do in the back of the house, and they were all efficient and courteous. They ensured that my questions were answered quickly. The equipment was state-of-the-art (including a new 3D mammogram machine). A patient appreciates knowing that the equipment will provide the best and most accurate findings for them. On to the next unit for additional imaging. I was escorted and never felt lost or overwhelmed. I felt appreciated actually. Shortly, I was on my way home and noticed that I was still smiling. ~~ Thank you to the staff at Tower.
