During installation, he cleaned out HVAC with hospital grade cleaner that prevents mold growth, and he installed a UV light as an extra defense against mold growth. It was a big job and took longer than we both anticipated. His crew worked past 6 pm to make sure the air ducts were completely installed so my family and I could turn the heater back on overnight. Before he left for the evening, he also cleared out our dryer vent as an extra gesture. When he came back to replace the vent plates, he asked us our preferences and comfort level to adjust the airflow in different spaces throughout our home. We appreciated that extra step very much. He also recommended that we replace our emergency drip pan as it was rusted and could cause a leak at any moment. He's even going to install a trip switch on his next visit as our unit doesn't currently have one. Overall, we had a good experience with Mateo. He's very knowledgeable, pleasant, made needed recommendations, and backed the work he did on our airducts with a five year warranty. He's definitely going to be my HVAC guy, and I happily recommended him. Thank you, Mateo! I'm sleeping better knowing my family is breathing cleaner air.

The place is very small that I drove passed it 3 times. When I finally found it, I was greeted by Joey (one of Owners sons) and was amazed at the kind of appliances they had in stock. I was able to get an LG 4 door stainless steel refrigerator with the touchscreen Pad that connects to WIFI, found an almost new Kenmore 5 burner stainless steel stove with double oven. Paid just under $2k for both items when i was expecting to spend $3-$4K. Mr. Lara (the dad) was soo nice that he offered to have it delivered the same day despite it being closing time and didnt charge me for delivery. My entire experience from the minute I walked in to the delivery was PHENOMENAL. They even called me a couple days later to make sure there werent any issues during the delivery or with the appliances. I will continue to send all my friends and loved ones to Laras Appliances. So far so good. Discovered--along with half of Galveston--that I had a burst pipe. At 5:30 PM. City…read moreWater Department shut off the main line. Called my regular plumber, but he's relocated. Contacted the name he gave me, but he was booked for a month. Called plumbers with good Yelp ratings, got nothing but full voice mails or "call in the morning" messages. Called Quality and a real live human answered... And he was an actual plumber named Terry, actually fixing something for someone (at 6:30 PM). Took my info and said they'd get here tomorrow, and try to get here in the morning. The next day I was told I'm #8 on the list and they should get here that day. The jobs were more involved than expected and I got bumped to Friday AM (by then it became clear that this was a Galveston- wide calamity, and the demand for plumbers was insane!). My plumber called mid-morning to say he was enroute, and took care of two split outdoor pipes in a couple of hours. He even reattached the bird netting attached under the deck! They answered, they showed up, they fixed everything... For a new client, in the midst of a disaster. Quality will be my plumber from here on out!
