Our fireplace was on during one of the coldest day's and heard popping and vibration noises in the chimney and turned it off. After Isaac arrived to inspect our chimney inside our fireplace, in the attic and on top of our roof, he determined everything looked securely connected with no issues. He determined since it was so cold and the heat from having the fireplace on was only expansion noises. We felt very comfortable with him showing us that everything was still in place and we had no problem moving forward. When temperatures fell this week and I fired up the stove for the first time, I realized MY error. Exceptional service in that they had no record of that previous purchase, but went above and beyond to make this customer happy. They could have easily, and rightly so, had me pay again for the logs. They had to extend stove pipe away from the roof, reapply silicon to stove pipe which had not been property cleaned with acetone and then sealed properly, cut additional wood from the roof away from the stove pipe. The Hearth guys will also have to return to install a damper, which was not included. We paid up front; and after that the quality of service took a nose dive.

Communication remained inconsistent even after the owner became involved. I understand that schedules can be busy, but clear communication and follow-through are essential. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. When a company cannot reliably provide an estimate or respond to basic inquiries, it raises concerns about how they would manage a larger project. There are many quality contractors who value their customers' time and work hard to earn their business. Based on my experience, HBR did not meet those expectations.
