When I arrived, Alondra informed me that she doesn't do foil highlights and she would have to rebook me if that's what I wanted done. She suggested her hand painted baylayage technique. We discussed it and she assured me all of her clients liked It. Since I was told it would look nice and I didn't have time to rebook, I decided to let her use her technique. This is what my hair looked like when it was done. After a few days and receiving comments from my friends about how poor my hair looked, I called the salon and told them I was unhappy with my service. I spoke to Marlo and she reassured me they would fix it and not to stress. Alondra reached out and asked me to come in so she could fix it. She scheduled an appointment for Saturday November 10. I came in and I discussed how I did not like the line in my hair, and that I thought the toner was very orange/ red and was not anywhere close to my natural color. She suggested putting in more highlights with her hand painted balayage technique. I asked her if that would get rid of the line in my hair and she said no. I asked her if foil highlights would be best, and she again said she would not do foil highlights and that if that's what I wanted she would refund me. At this point I had never requested a refund and just wanted my hair fixed. I was not confident in her ability to fix the issues so we agreed she would refund me. I would've thought a lot longer the decision had she not offered to refund me since I would be out all of that money. She told me her manager would call me the following Tuesday and refund me. Alondra was nice at the appointment and even told me to come back if I ever just needed a haircut. I never received a call from the manager on Tuesday. When I followed up with Alondra two weeks later regarding my refund, she gave me the managers phone number. I called and spoke to Marlo and she told me it was too late to get a refund. I informed her I was told she was going to call me and Marlo told me she didn't know that and that it was too late at this point. She finally agreed to talk to my stylist and get back to me. I got three different consultations on my hair and all three said I required color correction due to the bleeding/ botching of the balayage that my stylist did at this salon along with the improper toning. I ended up paying for a color correction and my hair looks like how it should have originally but for an additional 400$. I told Marlo this and her response is that another salon would never say anything good about a competition salon. Tru Salon finally agreed to provide me a partial refund after numerous calls. I told them I was not happy with that and in response, Marlo was rude and not understanding. She tried to tell me the lighting makes it look worse, that I had agreed to this technique, and that it wasn't her fault that she didn't call me since her employee didn't relay that to her. I kept asking her if my hair looked good, and never once did she respond with a yes. She continued to make excuses and blame me for the time delay and stating their policy is for people to come in and let the salon fix it. I kept reminding her I did come in for them to fix it and was given to the same stylist who messed it up the first time. She told me that Alondra never promised a refund (even though she did) and didn't know why nothing was done at my appointment to fix my hair. I have never had to have my hair corrected after years of getting my hair colored, with many different techniques. This was such a disappointing experience. I was extremely disappointed by Alondra offering me a refund and never following through. I would avoid this salon at all costs.
