Dr Jew stayed past closing to perfect my prescription and that extra effort really meant a lot to me.

My appointment was on Thursday, 1/22, and I never received a receipt or clear explanation of charges. While I understood the charge that posted later that night at 9:58 PM, my card was charged again on Saturday, 1/24 at 2:14 AM without my authorization. I had not returned to the office, had not left my home due to the weather, and received no call, notice, or explanation. I only discovered the charge when I attempted to use my card, which was stressful and unacceptable. It has now been two days with no acknowledgment or correction. This lack of oversight and transparency is negligent and irresponsible. While the medical care was pleasant, the billing practices have significantly damaged my trust.

They helped me to nail down the perfect pair of glasses. The glasses selection in general had a wide variety of styles, colors, and prices. I was able to find a cute pair completely covered by my insurance. The optometrist did a deep dive into my diet and explained how it could effect my eyes. She even went as far as creating me a list of foods to make sure I incorporate in my diet, especially since my mom has a mild case of Glaucoma. Totally recommend this place!

Unfortunately, after arriving about 10 minutes late, the staff spent another 15 minutes trying to locate the appointment because it had apparently been entered under my name instead of my son's. Regardless, the appointment was still made through their own system. After finally finding it, I was told they were "fully booked" and could not see my son. I specifically took my son out of school for this appointment, and the situation could have been handled much more professionally and respectfully. Instead, the staff came across as rude, dismissive, and inconsiderate of our time and effort. Customer service seems to be lacking more and more these days. Mistakes happen, but how staff treat people matters. A little understanding, communication, and willingness to help would have gone a long way. Very frustrating experience overall.

It's not only a great location but it's well organized & clean! The staff is so incredibly kind & knowledgeable. It's inclusive & I felt so comfortable. Dr. Lovero is fantastic! So initially I was recommend this eye doctor practice by my sister. She raved and raved and raved…read moreabout Dr. Paul and his practice. I kind of rolled my eyes, because it sounded too good to be true. But I tried it at her recommendation and I will say, I was impressed at first. The customer service was top notch and like nothing I had ever experienced at an optometrist office. I was not expecting to spend $1,000 on glasses but I did. Dr. Paul took his time and you could tell he really cared and was passionate about his profession. The equipment and technology was cool too. I felt like I was in a science museum. That was my first visit. The second visit was good too, and my eyesight hadn't changed. Dr. Paul brought up contacts but I told him that contacts made my eyes itch and he asked me about the kind I had prior and I shared reusable. He recommended daily contacts. I tried on a trial and liked them. I had also mentioned LASIK and he gave me a recommendation for a specialist that he trusted. Here's where things go south--I decide to get contacts. I ask, "what's the difference between getting an annual supply vs. a 3 month supply?" The lady says not a difference really it's just that the annuals are slightly cheaper. Since I was considering LASIK, I asked her what the price was for a 3 month supply? She said $99 and I said, "okay and if I get more contacts in 3 months, how much will it be?" She said it'll only be $99 and repeated that it was only cheaper if I did annual but it'd be the same price for another 3 month supply. This was about 3 months ago. So I send a text the day after Memorial Day asking for an invoice for another 3 month supply. I'm now told it's $250 not $99. I told the lady that I was confused, because the price is more than double the price. I called the office because sometimes things are better said over phone than text. The lady answers and I share with her what happened and she puts me on hold for about 15 minutes to ask her manager. She tells me that the manager Marisol (I think that's what she said her name was) is out to lunch and she'll give me a call back. I didn't receive a call back but a text message saying they apologize for the miscommunication on their end but it was always $250 and the insurance made it $99 and I'd need to wait until 2024 to get more contacts if I wanted to pay $99. I asked for what I was told initially to be honored and was told that the manager, Dr. Paul would not honor it and to let them know if I needed anything else. So you tell me one price, it isn't accurate and instead of honoring it or meeting me halfway, it's more of a too bad, so sad response. I'm always surprised how business owners will lose dollars, trying to save pennies. Nevertheless, I no longer recommend this practice as telling a client one price and then changing on them later isn't in integrity. If you decide to go here, I'd recommend getting all charges in writing. I'm sad to say that I will not be returning due to that bat and switch experience. -------------------- UPDATE: DR. PAUL MADE IT RIGHT. He also clarified some things, and I'm clear, happy and will continue coming back!!! Mistakes and miscommunications happen but how you handle them is what you sets you apart. Thank you Dr. Paul and team!

I scheduled an appointment ahead of time for my yearly checkup, and contacts fitting. Everything went pretty smooth besides the technicians fumbling around a bit during the checkup. The visit with the optometrist was quick, and he seemed friendly and knowledgeable enough. I got my contacts in about a week after my appointment and payment for the exam and contacts. I received a rebate flier from Alcon when I asked for it from the front desk; this is usually something they hand to you and let you know to apply for the rebate at any other optometrist that I've been to in the past. When I selected my contacts (monthlys), the optometrist or the front desk staff failed to let me know that Alcon (the contacts manufacturer) does not do rebates for the particular brand/model of contacts that I purchased. These rebates are $75-100 so it's a large amount relative to the total cost of the contacts. I found the above out just now while trying to apply for the rebate; the rebates do not include my model and everyone there neglected to mention that. Thanks to the lovely front desk staff who aren't very knowledgeable on the products to help the customer with high quality service, they tell me that I am unable to swap my new and unopened contacts for another brand or model that do have an active rebate on them. My previous optometrist once ordered contacts for me and swapped them all out for another model free of charge when I was having comfort issues with them. Akin to this MyEyeDr telling me to kick rocks, I don't personally recommend this clinic and will not be returning again.
