I don't think I've ever experienced such horrific service or that their error has ended up costing me thousands of dollars. I have had to call and beg for help it was a $1500 alarm that has resulted in one system failure after another that alarm being miswired has costed me three batteries an alternator just to name a few. I must've gone back in five times in the first two months. now looking at the receipt that I have where I now I understand why they were blowing me off so much because the warranty was only 90 days. it's been in my car since October I told them since October something was wrong now that I'm telling how much damage this thing has car I get condescension. I get told that they're gonna charge me $600 to take out their own mistake this is abhorrent abhorrent especially because this family own business knows the reason why I was in such desperate need of an alarm with gps and kill switch , I was dealing with an abusive relationship by person's who was forever stealing my car. they have shown no compassion no willingness to give all I want is the damn alarm taken out of my car it I don't even want it it's a $1500 alarm and I just want it out and they won't help me at this point the only thing I could think to do is take legal action or follow a complaint with a Better Business Bureau because there is absolutely no reason in the world it should be trying to exploit me further after I know what the problem is why should I have to spend another penny whenever I've already wasted $1500 on an alarm that was never properly installed! read more

DO NOT COME HERE I would not recommend anyone going here. I went to get my two subwoofers and an amp installed, and the owner quoted me 225, knowing I did not have wires. I paid in advance and set an appointment for the next day. When the next day came, I dropped the car off and got a call that I did not have wires and would need to pay an extra $50. I was confused cause that was already discussed, and I was not going to spend more, so I asked for a refund. This is when the owner started lying, saying we never discussed that. I asked for my money back, and the owner started aggressively threatening me. At one point, he even tried to pretend he had a gun to try to scare me out of the business. My car is in their shop, and I couldn't get it. I called the cops and made a report on the owner. The owner did not want to show the surveillance footage to the police couldn't be done. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. WARNING: Do not buy anything from this guy. He is a con artist. He does not have the vehicles checked out by a mechanic or inspected. My son tried to buy this car. And did not sign any paperwork. He went in on a Friday evening gave a down payment of $4500 and was told he could take the car and then go on Monday to sign the paperwork. My son had the car checked by a mechanic and major issues were found. The car has different size spark plugs and two of the pistons in the engine are bent. He is selling this car for more than it is worth. He is dishonest. When my son went to get his money back Felipe (the owner) told him that if he wanted his money back it would cost him $500. Do not do business with this guy. His wife even apologized to us for her husband and one of his employees even said my son should have gotten all his money back. read more

Took over 6 hours even after putting in a appointment for my car. Supposedly had ran out of film so it took longer. When I arrived to check what was going on after working hours my car was last to be worked on. It was passed 8 so it was too dark to see if any mistakes were made in that long process. Called when they open up to tell them what was going on. Was not empathetic to the situation. Was rushed off the phone being told that it wouldn't be till a couple of days to get it fixed even though I still had receipt. I had bubbles on one window and on the other they didn't cut the tint to fit the back window correctly. Was very suspicious to me to why my car was there for that long to begin with even after being told it would only take 2 hours the day before I took it in. I will not be going there again and definitely would NOT recommend to anyone. read more

I had originally come into Texas sounds to purchase a new radio and 2 speakers for a pick up truck I had. I was referred to them by my son. After my radio and speakers were installed by Mike I was so happy with the job he did and the price I received from John that I came back the next day and purchased three additional items including a sub and amplifier. I actually had a great experience here staff friendly & great Service. I actually know they are under New Management & I have a nice ride~ I trusted them to take care of my ride & they did my wiring right they Installed a good, Radio with Navigation/ Kenwood it works properly & the speakers bump, also I had new lights Installed & I can now see the road better & had a reverse camera put in. I feel better using my ride & I was very pleased & with a great payment plan. I think you have to experience a place yourself before you go with old bad ratings & peoples word. They don't try to sell you something you don't need just give you what you ask for. Good price or they will work with you by financing that took only a few minutes. Went to purchase rear speakers with install. 1) Broke my front door latch. I can not open it from inside now. Installer said he got confused thought the speakers were going to be install in the front doors. LEFT MY DOOR BROKEN!! Told me to go buy the part they broke and bring it back to repair it. I did that, but they did not fix it, *see below for more info.* 2) Sold me a blown speaker! The left speaker made a buzzing sound when someone talked on FM, CD, or AM radio. Could not list to any talk radio. Called and the "GM" said they never heard anything like that before happening in his life. Did internet checking and it is a blown twitter on the speaker. Brought it in for repair, but *see below for more in on this* 3) Did not secure speaker to trunk deck.Every time I hit a bump it would rattle the speaker and cause it to rattle because it was loose. This was separate issue from the buzzing sound. 4) No returns only repair checks on Tuesday/Thursdays during standard business hours!! I called and talked to the GM they said to bring it in for a "repair job" cause they don't think anything was wrong with the buzzing. I went by the store on Saturday at noon. They checked it out. The same installer listened and heard the buzz on the AM talk radio. Told me it was static on AM. Then changed it over to FM and said he could not hear it. If music is playing you can't hear it. Only does it when people are talking. I listen to LOTS of talk radio so this is a problem. The "static" on AM was not static. I have listen to AM for nearly 12 years now and know what AM static is. The buzz "static" was not present on front speakers or right speaker just the left speaker. I was told they don't do repair work on Saturday to bring it on Tuesday. I work from 8-5. They are open from *-7. I go to their store on a Tuesday at 6pm for my repair as the "GM" told me. I was told that they could not do the repair that day. To come back at Wednesday instead and they will pencil me in for a 6pm repair job. I could not make it to do the repair job. I still have a broken speaker and can't get them to fix it. I still have a broken car door latch and can't open my drivers side door from the inside. I am putting this cause I had to do it myself. They suck that much. 5) I have a kia rio and the speaker install is not as simple as others. I broke down and decided to repair it myself. I took my back seat out and took out the speakers. I put the left speaker in the right speaker slot and right into the left speaker spot. I turned on the radio and the buzzing was still in the same speaker. It was not the car stereo deck or wiring. I am going to try to ask for a refund on the speakers cost. Lets see how that goes. 6) The speakers they sold me. I checked online and they are $30 a pair on amazon and $46 a pair at Walmart. They charged me $70 for the pair of speakers and the sale person said he was cutting me a deal. BEWARE before buying make sure you check internet prices on the products they sale. read more

DO NOT take your car to Texas Sounds to have any work done because you will not be happy. We took our car there to get the windows tinted and they would not do the work unless we paid up front. BIG MISTAKE. We showed up right when they opened in the morning so there was no reason for any delays. This was a job that should have taken an hour to complete. It took more than three and a half hours because the worker kept letting other people who popped in to go ahead of us and have their stuff dealt with before us. He already had our money so there was no incentive for him to get the job done. That much is clear. Then he took time to gab with his friend who was there and ding fart around doing other stuff instead of working on the windows. This is the hallmark of unprofessional behavior and it was capped off by the excuses they gave when we started to complain about how long it was taking. In addition to the rotten work habits the tinting was poorly done. He tried to tell us that the air bubbles on the back window tint would "work themselves out" when we all know that is not true. They refused to provide a discount or refund a percentage of the money at the end which further shows that they have no concept of true customer service. This place is a joke. A real bad joke. I know that we are not satisfied. Chances are we will wind up going to a legitimate and professional shop to have this all redone. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I went to Texas sounds back in February and had a flip down 13"screen installed, they told me how great they were and the best deal and service in town. It took four hours for them to install, only to find out they did not connect the dome lights. six weeks later the DVD quit working and only to find out there is no warranty, WOW! I would not recommend this place to any one. read more
