I was driving by and I saw a couple of cute dresses on the window and since I had a wedding to…read moreattend on Saturday, I decided to stop by and check it out. From the minute I walked through the door I got the feeling the lady who greeted me was not happy with me being there. She treated me like if I was going to get something dirty. Once I told her I needed a dress for a wedding, she immediately took me to the "Sale" rack. I thought it was weird but I thought maybe she wanted to get rid of those dresses or something. When I was looking through the dresses she kept telling me the prices, again I thought it was weird but set the thought aside and kept looking. As we were moving along through the dresses on the "Sale" rack, I saw a pretty dress on display and I asked if I could try it on, I told her I really liked it. She said she would need help taking it off so she called her "coworker?" To help her. And when she came out she looked at me and asked me "Well, can you afford it?" I thought I misunderstood or something so I asked again and she told me once more "well, it's hard to take off so if you can't afford it I rather not take it down". I laughed, told her not to worry about it, thanked her and left the place. It is a shame that this lady decided to profile me. I am the type of person that if I like something and it makes me feel pretty, I will pay the money. She has no idea what my economic status is and she made me feel horrible. I work for a Fortune 500 company and my husband is an attorney. I could've paid the money, but I will NEVER spend a dime at this place.

We spent at least an hour in this business and were treated like queens. I wish we thought of getting the two ladies names working last night. They were truly amazing and attentive! We tried on multiple garments and when one of the employees was putting the ones we did not want to purchase away I had to apologize that we tried on so many, to which the employee waved it off and said we were amazing and don't worry about. I am here visiting and wish we had a Maurice's in Alaska, you definitely know how to employee those who are excellent in customer service. One checker and you could tell she wasn't into her job or customer service at all. Just going thru the motions. It wasn't just me complaining. The whole line was. At one point there were 9 people waiting forever and 3 people waiting on presales and 1 person waiting on an online order. It took my whole lunch hour to get a few little items. One lady said she would not return and the other said if she wanted to shop at Belk she would go to Lufkin. I'm not too sure I will be back!
