The food here was very fresh everything related delicious. The Mushroom Jack was a 10, there was so much flavor in that sandwich (even without the bun). The sweet potato was roasted to perfection. Lime Margarita was tasty did not need the kicker was definitely strong - perfect. Abbie was very sweet and welcoming! Samantha is very good at her job!! This location is family friendly.

It's been a little while since I've been to a Texas Roadhouse. This is by no means my favorite chain sit down restaurant but this most recent trip was quite enjoyable. I got the salmon for the first time and it was excellent. The service was great. And overall I had one of my more pleasant experiences at this establishment. May just be a turning of the leaf for me.

Very good overall experience that was highlighted by amazing service. Also the get in line ahead worked flawlessly with timing. The dining room was clean, unused tables cleared and the crowd was hopping on a Saturday night. My ribeye was perfection with sides of loaded potatoes (was ordered as loaded sweet potato) and mixed veggies. Yeah there was a mistake but I enjoyed what I had. Everything was tasty, but the steak was hero. I wood return and would live to have the same waitress.

Pro: clean interior, friendly staff, sport TV, takeout. Con: small front parking lot. Came here on a whim and the restaurant front parking lot is small but plenty of parking space next to the store. Upon entering we were seated quickly and our waitress was summer who was friendly and check in frequently to see how we were doing. For the appetizer, we ordered the cactus blossom and for the entree I ordered the 12 oz New York strip medium rare with my two sides being steak fires & vegetables. For the drink I had the raspberry lemonade. The appetizer was ok but nothing to write home about. The streak came out look good the end piece were medium rare but more toward the middle I say it was more on the rare side. I like how my waitress got me a refill without me even asking so that was cool. All in all, experience here was pretty good.

Visited a few weeks ago while passing through Charlottesville. This was my first time at this location. It was a Sunday afternoon of a holiday weekend but we were seated right away. My boyfriend picked out a ribeye and I ordered my usual - the sirloin + shrimp skewer. We also ordered the combo appetizer, a side salad, and chili. The service was excellent. Our waitress checked up on us multiple times and our food came out fast. It was cooked well and delicious. Everything went smoothly and we were in and out in about 50 minutes with tons of leftovers. Overall, a great quick dining experience which was good as we had a 2 hour drive home. I highly recommend this location - I think it was better than some of our home locations!!

A Food Chain with Mediocre Steak and Phenomenal Bread Let me get this out of the way: I normally despise steakhouse chains. Outback, Longhorn, and several others are just not my cup of tea. In my mission to support as many local businesses as possible, I will almost always choose a local steak place where the chances of finding a great steak are normally higher than that of a chain. All that to say... Texas Roadhouse is fine. If I ABSOLUTELY must go to a local chain, then Texas Roadhouse is my go-to. It's better than average, with addicting bread and cinnamon butter to start off the meal. My girlfriend and I had a great date, and the service and ambience were good. The food was fine. Neither the steak nor the shrimp blew us away, but it wasn't bad by any account. It's a perfectly inoffensive, decently-priced steak dinner, and for a chain, that's as great a compliment as any.

Server (Brianna) started out good, fairly attentive until I got my food. After I got my food I got one cursory "all good?" and that was it until I got the bill. Anyway, on to the food: ordered two meat plate (brisket and pulled pork) with fries and coles slaw. Fries were the highlight of the meal. Hot, crispy, seasoned...awesome. Cole slaw was good....but it was super tangy (vinegary) for my taste. Don't get it wrong, it was good, just hard to eat all of it thanks to the tang. On to the meat. Got a pretty good sized pile of pulled pork and a couple slices of brisket. Both meats were lukewarm at best. Pork was dry (thank goodness for the NC vinegar sauce). The brisket made up for the porks dryness, it was extra greasy and extra fatty. Like, for real, do you think people are going to eat the fat layer between the lean point meat and the fatty upper meat? Yeah, not me. But since the brisket was also lukewarm (more like lukecold) it really didn't make a difference. I did think the Vision BBQ sauce tasted pretty good. If Brianna would have come back by after I got my meal I would have sent it back....and probably would have just left without worrying over a replacement, or a comp, or anything. Secondary issue: went to the mens room. It was just nasty. You get once shot to make an impression, and this one was not good. Would not/will not repeat.

Service up front was solid, but the food did not deliver for me. The restaurant is located just off UVA grounds. Plenty of parking maybe should have been a clue. Overall the dining room was clean, but our table had some debris on top and floor. I ordered the wing platter with sides of baked beans and macaroni and cheese. My daughter the pulled pork sandwich with macaroni and cheese. My wife the turkey and shared sides. No one cared for the macaroni as it was flavorless. The wings were good, but small for the price. They say it's a half pound. The baked beans were tasty. My wife liked her turkey, I'm not inclined to recommend or try again. It also burned me that they have a tipping option and do not deliver the food to the table.

The sandwich was pretty tasty and most importantly, the turkey wasn't dry! The slices were pretty thick (almost 1/2" thick). I would have preferred slightly thinner and just more pieces, but good flavor. The combination of the turkey with white sauce, slaw, and pickles made for a tasty bite. The sides were a mixed bag. Pretty good overall, but I could have taken 25% of the salt on the greens and added it to the casserole! The casserole may have had enough salt, but with the greens so salty, the squash seemed slightly under seasoned. I usually don't comment on bathrooms, but the hand dryer being located directly above the toilet was pretty gross. No paper towels either. I used my shirt to turn the knob with wet hands and grab a paper towel from one of the tables. Again, staff was great. The food was pretty good, but I'm not a fan of the bathrooms!

To me, a good bite of brisket, should be like a good bite of steak, no sauce required. Here sauce is required so there is enough moisture in your mouth to swallow. Same with ribs. The smoked chicken was not terribly dry and was flavorful and the fried chicken had solid flavor but was again dry. Now back to those sides...the beans are very flavorful and the collards are perfect. Wolf's Fixings needs to come here and to get side tips and this place needs to go there for brisket tips. Well, at the register we were advised, "we don't serve them here, only the Crozet location." So my wife recommended that they be lined out or taken off the menu option, we were told by the cashier, "I have no control over that" and when suggested he lets the manager or own know, a reply of "yeah" and a chuckle was under his breath. The restaurant is still clean and well presentable but the friendliness and excitement from the employees is lacking from before when the Crozet location was not open. So as for the food now, disappointment continues. The French Fries, as pictured and video, are not cooked all of the way. The pulled chicken is dry and over cooked. The sides are 1/2 the previous sizes, look at the pictures, and the side of chicken salad for $5 is not even enough for a sandwich. Guess it's time to look for another BBQ place to go to since $45 equates to uncooked food and 1/2 servings....rather disappointing when I was such a fan. If this is fixed, I will update but for now...maybe it's back to Vision BBQ downtown Charlottesville.

It was not traditional cornbread-- it tasted like carrot cake corn bread. The Mac and Cheese was a little too overcooked for my liking. However, for the meat sandwich and two sides were a large portion and cost 12 dollars which was awesome. Overall, Soul Food Joint is a charming locally owned soul food place downtown.
