Sirloin* & Grilled Shrimp Steamed Broccoli Baked Potato
    Martavian N.

The food was pretty good, has great seasoning and the broccoli was steamed well. The service still happens to be a little slow at certain audiences but the servers are nice. The setting in the restaurant was loud at times but it's a nice place to eat at for celebration.

They have the best grilled shrimp, steak, rolls, and fried pickles. Our server, Canyon, is amazing and super nice. There is a nice ambiance.

My review is a little late but we ate here on Feb 18 of this year. The wait was about 30 minutes and the service was super slow and they were not doing a good job of cleaning the floors (see pic of someone sitting beside us). The food was really subpar for the price and the wait even after being seated was too long. They appeared to be understaffed and unorganized. That being said one of us wanted steak so we took a chance on this location. Highly unlikely we will ever go back. Appetizers: Blooming onion. Free bread - apparently the bread was in high demand this night. Everyone around us was complaining about the length of time you had to wait for bread. It took us about 20 minutes to get bread. The bread tastes good and the cinnamon butter is yummy. Main: Ribeye and salad 2/5 Meat was not cooked as requested. Hamburger and fries 2/5 Nothing special Country fried steak, green beans and fries. 3/5

    "NY STRIP" 12 ounces

Want to say first we adored our server. She was not the problem at all. We went out for a last minute dinner and waiting roughly 10 minutes for a table which wasn't bad for 7:15 pm on a Sunday. My fiancé and I both ordered steaks. He got a rare 16 ounce sirloin and I got a 12 ounce medium NY strip. Just want to say we were severely disappointed in our food. My broccoli was hard and stale tasting and our steaks were wrong all across the board. My partners steak was blue when he ordered rare. And my steak tasted and looked like the wrong cut. My steak coming out looking like a ribeye and when I asked our waitress she agreed and told me it looked like a ribeye as well. I ordered the strip cause I hate excessive fat and gargle on my steaks, we also waited roughly 35 minutes for our food. The server came back and stated that the kitchen manager told her it was a ribeye. When I told her it didn't taste like one my only option was to keep the steak that I couldn't eat much of due to the excessive fat, or they could get me a different one. I kept the one due to me not wanting to wait 30 minutes for a new steak. My partner did not notice his was blue until he ate a few pieces. He wasn't going to complain, but our server walked by and noticed his was not cooked considering he ordered rare not blue. That's was an easy fix, the server let us know that the manager would deliver his food. When she arrived I wasn't mean by any means, I have worked in the food industry for years. But she was a younger women with black hair and she was insanely rude. She got aggressive with me when I told her my steak was mostly fat and severely disappointing ( also was not 12 ounces). And she snapped back and said that when they cut the end of the strip it can look like a ribeye. I let her know it was still cooked incorrectly and just was a crappy cut of steak. Just annoyed cause we paid 60 bucks for one of the worst steak dinners. I don't recommend getting a NY strip unless you want the wrong cut of meat and a nasty attitude manager to ruin your meal.

The outdoor area is next to a busy parking area but it isn't annoying. Tables indoors are spaced nicely-and can be moved to accommodate groups of 12 or so. That kind of hospitality always elevates a meal. The onion rings were the absolute star. Perfectly crisp and golden on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned just right. Easily some of the best I've had and worth ordering every time. The burgers were solid and cooked as ordered, and the buns deserve special mention -- super soft, fresh, and a great complement to the patties without falling apart. The pimento cheese, however, was a bit underwhelming and didn't quite deliver the flavor punch I was expecting. Overall, excellent service, standout onion rings, and good burgers make this a place I'd happily return to.

Yes, one may put cheese on the Italian beef, but then it automatically is not "authentic" because it becomes a crossover then. This is not to be a French dip sandwich or a Philly cheesesteak. It's the Chicago Italian beef which is supposed to have four components that must all work together: thin sliced roast beef, the au jus, hard roll/bun, giardiniera. That's it. I thought the sandwich was good, but just not authentic. The beef was a little thicker cut but ample quantity. The giardiniera was plenty hot but scant, so they did promptly bring a side portion for me, the au Jus didn't have the same spice mixture and was more of a French dip than the spicier Italian beef and usually I get mine dunked, so this was just a side dip, but off the flavor of IB. I think the cheese used was Havarti, which is interesting, even though it's not supposed to be there, one would have expected provolone or mozzarella. I also had a couple of onion rings, very heavily breaded, cooked to perfection but tasted like fried chicken more than onion ring. This is not a negative review since the food was good and price/value was also good, it's just that neither item was "authentic" to the original target. I would eat here again in a heartbeat and most definitely order a burger because that is their thing.

Our food came out quickly, which honestly impressed me considering how packed everything in Athens was that day. My steak did come out at the wrong temperature initially, but the staff handled it really well. They immediately made me a brand new steak and even sent me home with a full to-go meal, which I really appreciated. Mistakes happen, but good customer service is what matters, and they definitely made it right. The food overall was really good. The deviled eggs always hit, the creamed spinach was delicious, and the loaded potato was solid. The corn had a smoky flavor to it that caught me off guard at first, but it was still sweet and flavorful. Overall, great service, good food, and they handled an issue professionally, especially during such a busy graduation weekend.
