Stopped in tonight and surprisingly got seated right away. Waitress was great. My wife and I shared the 23 ounce Porterhouse and baked sweet potato. We also had a side ceaser salad. Everything was great! The steak came out exactly the way we wanted it. Medium rare. We had them put the cinnamon butter on it. This is the same butter they give you with those amazing warm rolls you get when you're seated. I can't say enough about this Texas Roadhouse. Stop in for a great steak. I was in the restaurant with my daughter and right when our food came she ended up having a massive seizure. The staff was beyond amazing! The manager came over and had called 911 and the waitress quickly packed up all of the food to go and when I went to hand her my credit card she said the manager had taken care of the bill! The paramedics came and my daughter was stabilized and is well now. I can't say enough how grateful I am for their quick and calm response to a very stressful moment for us and how they took care of everything!! I have always gone here for a good steak and a pleasant dining experience.first I have to say, it was extremely busy. We waited for over a half hour to be seated. Were waiting for a table, not a booth and evidently they are hard to come by. Our waiter was rushed, I couldn't understand a word he said he was talking so fast. I ordered thr ribeye which is always so good, but not this time. I decided to send it back, after all its a $22 steak but this was do tough I couldn't chew it. Seated right away ... great. Restaurant was FREEZING!! Luckily my husband had a sweatshirt in the car. I mentioned it, but was just greeted with a smile. This time it was my husband who had a bad experience. Usually it's me. His ribeye was AWFUL. Taste was ok, but the amount of fat on this steak was unbelievable. I'd have to say at least 40% fat. We were very tired when we arrived. Our waiter was Donovan....He was Awesome!! He made sure we had everything we needed fast and for my gluten free needs he assured me he would take care of making sure it was done right. I would recommend asking for him as he was friendly and fun to deal with. He made our family feel comfortable and our food was just to our order. What an asset Donovan is to your company. My lady's food kept coming out wrong from holding the eggs off her salad to the stilling mooing piece of meat she got. Talk about still bloody. Haven't been here for a few yrs, not since early bird dinner was $6.99 or so . Went there for a friends bday. Web says open @4p.m.. door states 3 pm table was reserved for a handicap person. The a.c. was on( only 60 * outside) it was so cold in that rm with air blowing on us our drink & food order were taken.. Early bird dinner is now $9.49 2 had ordered steak & 2 ordered pork chop dinner. All dinners come with 2 sides. The place was getting busy. I finally asked the server where our meal was. Now waiting 40 minutes or so. When food came it was ok but asked again to turn air down. By now butter wouldn't melt on food. The pork chop was ssssoooo small applesauce with one dinner was about 21/2 tspoon green beans had by 2 were ok. Did mention to server that food was just ok. Never asked what problem was. The bill came & had incorrect prices on it. Told server again that food was cold which we thought had to do with 1. The air blowin on us & others. 2. Was sitting in kitchen area too long. Manager came & spoke at us. Gave us free appetizer card for next time. Have mine away. I will not be going back. The price is way to high for an early bird dinner when regular dinner price is only a little bit higher . I went here with my brother. Man this place is not that great. just some average place. I wish Longhorns or Outback would come in to town and actually show 'em it is done for a steakhouse. Our skins that we got for appetizers didn't seem like they even washed the potatoes and were barely filled. so we got some wings, and somehow they managed to screw those up. They cost like 6-7 dollars for half a dozen overcooked wings, and they gave us some or the soupiest ranch and bleu cheese I'd ever seen in my life. The service we got was just so slow too. I saw tons of staff wandering talking to one another but not really being on the ball for it being a slow rainy night. The food was Okay after that, nothing really to write home about, but I'd probably go to applebee's if I needed a steak I'm sure its just as good or better. For those who downed Texas Roadhouse in Racine, Wi, I have to disagree with you. I went there yesterday with my husband and step-mother. Not one employee did we see just standing around doing nothing. The servers and all employees were very active and busy. Everyone was very polite. People have to remember that when a business is new, employees need time to get their routines down pat. If you expect perfection when a business is new, I suggest to stay home and cook your own meal. The food was excellent, service was great and the staff seems to be off to a great start. Nothing wrong with the server, but all the food was basically inedible. Coke arrived with no syrup in it. Buns were stale and cold. First bite of pulled pork had two bones in it. All of the vegetable sides came out of a can. Fries and mushrooms in particular were swimming in salt. Six dollar side of ribs was small, tough, and fatty. Ive been to this chain before, was in town and thought we would go there for dinner. Used thier app and called ahead was told it would be 45 moinutes and to show up 15 mins before the time they set. We showed up it eas busy and we were told it would be longer by another half hour waited the waiting room went from packed to a few talked to the hostess and was told it would be a addional half hour. So i call ahead so i dont have to wait , told 45 mins , then another half hour on top of that at arrival waited and then told sorry wait again....... Do not recommend throwing good money away in this place. I went to the restroom after we had ordered and had I went before then, we would have left. No exaggeration, the place was so bad. I have been to facilities without running water and proper plumbing that were in much better condition. The chicken and steak both weren't choice quality, very fatty and chewy. The noise in the place was so very bad you couldn't talk to the person sitting across from you. Unbelievable!! There was no way you could enjoy your meal because of all the noise. Some clients, my husband and I decided to enjoy a nice dinner together, and selected Texas Roadhouse because we all had typically had great food and a nice experience at Texas Roadhouse, however, this location . . . NOT so much. The buns were not warm, and you'd swear that they had run out of butter for them, as we got maybe a tablespoon of honey butter for 4 buns. Although we asked for more butter, our second 'helping' of butter was less than a tablespoon. As for our meals . . . My filet was dry, barely lukewarm, and the sauteed mushrooms I was suppose to get were burnt, COLD, and yet slathered in some sort of brown gravy in a bowl, NOT on my steak. My husband's prime rib was cold, and his sauteed mushrooms were also burnt to a crisp. Although I never did get much of a response from my clients, I could tell just by looking at one of their meals (filet medallions), that her meal was dry also, and I think to be nice, she just asked for a box to pack up most of it. Our server (Gabriela) was pretty attentive, although she did forget (twice) to bring a wet rag so I could wipe the terrible stickiness off the front of my booth seat, so I just had to make sure my slacks weren't resting against that area. This was THE WORST experience I've ever had at a Texas Roadhouse, so I'm not sure if the quality is just going down, or if it was just this location. It will definitely be a while before I try another Texas Roadhouse. VERY disappointing! read more
