I don't usually leave reviews, but after multiple unresolved issues, I feel it's important to share…read moremy experience. I recently moved to Texas after being with the same doctor in Florida for seven years. I had all of my medical records transferred, including my history with anxiety, panic disorder, depression, and severe sleep issues. Over the past year, I have gone through significant life events, including the loss of both parents and a divorce, making consistent and reliable care especially important. From the beginning, communication with this office has been difficult. I have called numerous times seeking assistance and often felt dismissed. When I asked if the doctor could return my call, I was told she "doesn't usually call patients back," which was discouraging given my situation. There have also been ongoing issues with my medications. Initially, I was only prescribed my antidepressant despite providing my full medical history. At one point, I lost my antidepressant and contacted the office to request a refill in order to avoid withdrawal symptoms. I was told by staff that Lexapro is a controlled substance and could not be refilled, which is untrue. Overall, the level of support and clarity provided has been inconsistent. I understand that policies and regulations exist, and I am willing to follow appropriate steps. However, the lack of communication and professionalism has made it difficult to receive proper care. I will be seeking care elsewhere. I hope this feedback encourages improvements in communication, staff training, and patient support--especially for those managing serious mental health conditions.

My grandmother had a terrible experience with their front office representative. She was…read morerecommended to a cardiologist in Bryan/College Station and a referral was never sent for her to be seen. They wouldn't even look up the fax number or email to send a referral and we had to gather all of the information our self's or the alternative was drive almost an hour to just give the cardiologist a physical copy of the referral. Remind you my grandmother is 88 years of age. It is very sad that we are so limited to clinic options being in such a rural area. I think the customer service is very pathetic and lazy. I would not recommend visiting this clinic and we will not be returning.

Dr. Wells is the best physician I have ever seen. Ever. I've received medical care in the ritzy…read moreTexas Medical Center in Houston as well as itty bitty small town Texas hospitals. If more doctors practiced using Dr. Wells methodology, we would all be better off. He actually listens to the patient and has not fallen victim to prescribing medications only from the latest and greatest TV commercials. If you are on a budget, talk to him and he can usually find a medication within your price range. He does not accept medical insurance or Medicaid but his price for a basic office visit is the same as my copay for a specialist, $40 cash. It can go up with injections or more complicated visits but you won't get a surprise bill at the end. He discusses fees up front. The day Dr. Wells retires and stops practicing medicine will be a very sad day for the citizens of Huntsville and Walker County. He is the best.

I would honestly rate them 100/10. They were attentive, kind, and made a very difficult situation much easier. While my overall stay had some challenges -- particularly with response times and delays in assistance at certain points -- it seemed like this may have been related to staffing levels rather than the individuals themselves. I also experienced some concerns around discharge timing while I was still dealing with significant pain, weakness, dizziness, and fluctuating blood pressure, though I ultimately stayed longer due to a heart-related issue. One small note: food delivery was often delayed, so ordering ahead may help. Overall, the standout staff I mentioned above truly made a difference in my experience, and I'm very grateful for the care they provided.

The Good: Nearly every nurse I had was personable, knowledgeable, and willing to answer my questions. I'm not great at remembering all the names, but almost the entire staff on the 4th floor of the Houston tower were just phenomenal. Also, when I was admitted, I was on a "cardiac diet" that was from an incident from many years ago, but I was also cleared for outside food (imagine not being able to get a packet of salt from the cafeteria, but I could order Whataburger if I wanted to.) I appreciate that the lady working at Food Services took the time to call around and find out what was up, and get it fixed so that it reflected my actual health needs. Also, the paramedics who transported me were kind, skilled, and calming. The Bad: I had one nurse by the name of Annabelle who did not flush my IV for a full day, leading to it needing to be replaced, and who would not get the charge nurse. During my last IV antibiotic infusion of her shift, I told her it was painful (it shouldn't have been) and she told me the IV was probably just tired, then left for an hour and didn't come back to check on me, just left it going. She also basically manhandled me, rather than allowing me to move my own pajama sleeve out of the way, pulling on my IV and causing additional stress.
