Some friends of mine back East tell me that waiting for forty five minutes to ninety minutes to see a doctor is the norm. The office ladies are nice and cheerful. Dr Babbitt suggests the typical tests women and men should have but does not insist you have them. He just leaves it up to the patient. He's smart , knows what he's doing but very laid back. I'm comfortable with Dr Babbitt. I saw him recently for UTI. He sent, immediately a prescription for Bactrim. Five days later I felt better but not as much as I thought I should. His nurse called me and said the urinalysis showed that my UTI would be resistant to Bactrim and they called in a prescription for Amoxicillin and said to throw out the Bactrim. I am so appreciative of this personal attention to my test results.

We have good PPO insurance and our deductible is met obviously considering its the end of the year. They made him pay $171 for the visit. He tried to tell them it couldn't be right but they wouldn't listen. He left and called blue cross who called them and they said he should have been charged 26$ so blue cross called epiphany and told them that. They said they refunded it. Well refund never came and they never gave an amount. I called today and waited on hold for billing for 20 minutes once I got billing here is what I was told. A lot of the time they can't pull it up to find out what insurance says is owed or if deductible is met. Front desk and billing are not allowed to process refunds so all the girl could do is send a note to billing and they did nothing with it because according to the billing person "they can't process them either." She had to ask a manager or something to be able to refund the large amount owed back. I have health issues and go to docs constantly and ive never seen anything like this. Most offices run your insurance before you even get there. Epiphany waited till check out and apparently "aren't able to pull it up a lot of the time." And then no one can refund it and they also ignore the fact a refund is owed because they can't process it. Not going to deal with this again. I spent 35 minutes on the phone and this was my 4th time trying to get someone that could help. Edited to add that they harass you after you write an honest review. When the billing girl said all of this I asked for clarification repeatedly and told her if this is really how they operate I would share a review and she said it was. I had a terrible experience with the PA Named Paige, a young woman who looks as if she stepped out of high school and clearly has no experience in this field. Here is my review of my appointment yesterday: Worst experience with a dermatologist ever. The PA was incompetent and fairly arrogant. She took a Quick Look at my forehead and began to tell me options like burn it off, cut it out, all available after saying it COULD be precancerous. For her to immediately start listing money making procedures without really examining me felt very wrong. Then she put the decision back in my lap, basically to tell her what I wanted done. How could I know without a more thorough explanation of what was going on? We had been together all of 5 minutes. I questioned her about maybe it was this or that...she argued that it was not this because of scales.....but nothing else. I wanted to ask about chlorine from swimming as our pool had been heavily treated recently, but there was o discussing ideas with her. After a brief pause, she asks me to decide what I wanted to do, I asked her," are you asking me to diagnose and decide treatment?" She answered somewhat annoyed, " Well, I can decide for you." I did not have enough information to answer her question so we sat In awkward silence for a few moments. Then she offered to prescribe a steroid cream, At that point, I told her I did not feel comfortable with her and would be going elsewhere. We left immediately. I did not really want to see a PA, but was told at the time of making the appointment that Dr. Lambert was not available. This place will be loosing a lot more patients if you push them off on this PA.

You will not be able to submit any records of your treatment to your insurance company because they will not give you any. They will charge you hundreds and hundreds if not thousands of dollars for a couple of hours of "treatment" and then refuse to give you any record of it. When your insurance company states that your treatment would indeed be covered if a patient submits records, this outfit upon insistence will send you only an "encrypted" message that supposedly contains the records, however you will be unable to open the message DESPITE MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS and will thus have no idea what it says. This is clearly an attempt to obscure whatever so-called "treatment" was rendered and is nothing but a cover-their-asses tactic. Trying to get my prescription sent to the correct pharmacy was an issue. After calling the Plano office, my concerns were addressed and the delay was clearly explained. I appreciate their honestly and I have already seen some results. This experience actually exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this clinic for distance telemedicine and look forward to continuing with their program. Finding them during this awful pandemic has been a blessing for the waistline.
