Do not use this office. Edited at the bottom with important info. My husband and I both went here for a couple years. This week (in December) he went for a regular visit. We have good PPO insurance and our deductible is met obviously considering its the end of the year. They made him pay $171 for the visit. He tried to tell them it couldn't be right but they wouldn't listen. He left and called blue cross who called them and they said he should have been charged 26$ so blue cross called epiphany and told them that. They said they refunded it. Well refund never came and they never gave an amount. I called today and waited on hold for billing for 20 minutes once I got billing here is what I was told. A lot of the time they can't pull it up to find out what insurance says is owed or if deductible is met. Front desk and billing are not allowed to process refunds so all the girl could do is send a note to billing and they did nothing with it because according to the billing person "they can't process them either." She had to ask a manager or something to be able to refund the large amount owed back. I have health issues and go to docs constantly and ive never seen anything like this. Most offices run your insurance before you even get there. Epiphany waited till check out and apparently "aren't able to pull it up a lot of the time." And then no one can refund it and they also ignore the fact a refund is owed because they can't process it. Not going to deal with this again. I spent 35 minutes on the phone and this was my 4th time trying to get someone that could help. Edited to add that they harass you after you write an honest review. When the billing girl said all of this I asked for clarification repeatedly and told her if this is really how they operate I would share a review and she said it was. Theres two locations and initially I put the review on the wrong one. They called, I immediately fixed it. Following that they called my husband 6 times asking him to have me take it down. How about you work on fixing the issues in your business instead of harassing someone that shared their honest experience. read more

I saw Dr Lambert 3 years ago and had a good experience, but clearly this practice has become like so many of the medical facilities in Tyler, money driven to survive. I had a terrible experience with the PA Named Paige, a young woman who looks as if she stepped out of high school and clearly has no experience in this field. Here is my review of my appointment yesterday: Worst experience with a dermatologist ever. The PA was incompetent and fairly arrogant. She took a Quick Look at my forehead and began to tell me options like burn it off, cut it out, all available after saying it COULD be precancerous. For her to immediately start listing money making procedures without really examining me felt very wrong. Then she put the decision back in my lap, basically to tell her what I wanted done. How could I know without a more thorough explanation of what was going on? We had been together all of 5 minutes. I questioned her about maybe it was this or that...she argued that it was not this because of scales.....but nothing else. I wanted to ask about chlorine from swimming as our pool had been heavily treated recently, but there was o discussing ideas with her. After a brief pause, she asks me to decide what I wanted to do, I asked her," are you asking me to diagnose and decide treatment?" She answered somewhat annoyed, " Well, I can decide for you." I did not have enough information to answer her question so we sat In awkward silence for a few moments. Then she offered to prescribe a steroid cream, At that point, I told her I did not feel comfortable with her and would be going elsewhere. We left immediately. I did not really want to see a PA, but was told at the time of making the appointment that Dr. Lambert was not available. This place will be loosing a lot more patients if you push them off on this PA. read more

Terrible customer service! I waited over a month for the referral process to get started. They have an awful automated system which sends you a text message when they miss your call. When you ask for a return phone call and leave your phone number a staff remember writes you back and asks how they can help you. Ridiculous and pitiful service! I'm surprised they are still open for business! I called my PCP and requested that she please start a referral to a new dermatologist's office. I wouldn't bother my time trying to be seen here. They never answer their phones and apparently they can't read English in their portal system, which you don't even sign up for because they send you a text message with a link to send them a message is a trap and they don't answer your questions there and don't return your phone call. What a joke for efficient and so called caring staff! Don't waste your time sending me an automated response to my review with offering for me to speak with someone at the same phone number that no one answers! If I could give less than 1 star I would! read more

They quoted me $2700 cash price to handle my ear melanoma issue. I got my ear completely handled with skin graft and all for less than $500 thru UTMB Dermatology. ( basically what I paid fur consult and the biopsy at Epiphany) Sorry but your clinic needs to understand everyone is not covered by insurance and the best cash price is importantly. read more

I used online system to book appointment & they cancelled me twice. Then I finally get a third appointment scheduled by talking to receptionist and they cancel that a couple days before stating "they had a large gap in the schedule". So I reschedule again with the receptionist and get yet another call the week of stating "the doctor will be out of office". I am trying somewhere else because I'm tired of waiting to be seen & getting cancelled every time. read more

Saw Dr Lambert for a mole that concerned me. His office staff was friendly and efficient. A biopsy was taken and results were back quicker than expected. Very happy with this experience. read more

The simple act of printing a receipt so that we can file for reimbursement with our insurance is apparently a task far beyond the capabilities of Crystal. Instead of simply printing the requested receipt, Crystal decided to let me know that our "HMO" wouldn't reimburse us for the visit. After being notified we don't have an HMO and then arguing with me for approximately ten minutes at the front counter about the visit, she finally printed a receipt while telling me I'm "crazy." I was too angry to look at the receipt when I left, but once home realized she had only given me a receipt showing the total amount I paid. Crystal is by far the most unprofessional individual I have ever encountered. The names she called me, the amount of arguing she did, and the complete rewriting of what transpired during our first visit is incomprehensible. Crystal needs to be informed that stating you got to the office without your insurance card so you will pay for the visit and file for reimbursement afterwards is NOT the same thing as saying you want to be private pay. Nobody who has insurance chooses to be private pay. I even asked if I could get a receipt that day so I could send it to the insurance company and she said it would be two weeks before I could get it. This is only one of many issues we have with this clinic. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Lamberts for several years now. Last week (Monday the 7th) I called and made appointments for myself and a friends 10 year old son. He had picked at a mole and it won't quit bleeding. Long story short, when I called the clinic today ( Monday 5he 14th) to confirm and get treatment consent forms for the 10 year old, I was callously told that the 10 year olds appointment had been cancelled. Turns out they don't treat under 18 y.o. This is like blocking and tackling in football.....you would think knowing how to take appointments would be a necessary basic skill. You would think they would be with it enough to know how to schedule appointments. Apparently not. It makes me wonder what else they can't get right. I cancelled my appointment as well, given the callousness and incompetence. Good luck. read more

I am very impressed with Dr. Mead. She had transitioned from another Dermotology Center and I had lost track of her. She has done a number of surgeries on my husband and on me. We were always very pleased with her caring attitude. She is extremely skilled in her technique and personable. Thank you, Dr. Mead for acccepting me back as a patient. read more

If you are a rosacea patient you need to go somewhere else. Lack of understanding of this condition and was informed by the staff that Dr. Lambert doesn't return patient calls. They came highly recommended but after 2 visits I'm highly disappointed! read more

After a really bad experience at East Texas Dermatology, a facility my wife and I have used for several years, I decided to try a dermatologist who may not be as cavalier as those at the afore mentioned facility. I, and my wife, could not have been more satisfied and elated that a young doctor, Dr. Lambert, and his entire staff, could not have been more prompt, efficient, professional, and friendly. South Tyler Dermatology has two new patients! read more

Tried to make an appointment for my 16 yr old son. I was told they start appointments at 7:30 and stop taking appointments at 3:20pm. I informed the gal that my son gets out of school at 3:20 and is back by 3:30pm, I asked if they can schedule him at 3:30pm, Her response, "no sorry our last appointment is at 3:20pm." I asked if they can make an exception, she asked her manager Carla, and this was her response." If I waited for 10 min for you I would have to wait 10 min. for everyone." I find it ironic Doctors make us wait sometimes hours and we have no control over that If I were you I wouldn't give my business to South Tyler Dermatology- they are all about business and no personal touch. LOST my business. read more

Used Dr Lambert for years, following faithfully with his many moves. UNTIL NOW. His interest in money now exceeds imagination!! I go in, there is a very solemn girl (never introduced/never spoke) sitting to side who, minute I finished stating routine procedure needed, girl interrupts, says "insurance won't cover". Dr Lambert then spoke & said won't do procedure!! Why " won't be happy." WHAT??? I asked to please re-consider as it is simple small keloid removal he has done several times w no problem before. After lengthy silence he agrees to do some as if doing favor, not professional service. Girl repeats "insurance won't pay", I say it did cover times before, she never looks up. Very uncomfortable situation. I leave, at check out made to pay large $$$ cash, they'll refund if covered. I had to call again request they file ins. (they didn't bother since Lambert was already paid). Month & half later, I check. Insurance had indeed paid in full 2 days after filed!! I call for refund status, office says refunds take time we're very busy. WHAT??? Lesson learned loyalty does not count to Lambert, $$$ does. read more

Dr. Lambert is great Doctor with super bedside manors. I felt like I was the only patient in the office. He took the time to explain everything and his staff were happy people. I normally do not write reviews but with an office visit like the one I had it was a no brainer. read more

Called South Tyler Dermatology........ and I normally do not write reviews but because of the respect I was given starting from the person who answered the phone and then from the sweet lady who politely and respectfully helped me without any reservations, with my unusual detailed questions; I am rating them with the highest possible score. What a professional and genuinely caring practice. Suzanne offered to work with us on scheduling and any other issues or concerns we may have regarding questions and information on procedures we are considering. Thank you for your compassion and privacy to your future patients! See you soon. read more

Today was the first time to visit this Business and I was immediately met with smiling and friendly faces. Everyone greeted me and made me feel more than comfortable. As I sat in the waiting area I viewed staff interacting with regular clientele in a way that made me feel like I should be there. After waiting about 10 minutes i was taken back, at which time she apologized for the wait, and my wait then was very short. Dr Beckley was more than pleasant. She sat and spoke with me at length about my condition. I had numerous questions and she stayed engaged with me until I felt I had enough information. I will recommend her practice to anyone and everyone! read more

I could not ask for a more professional and knowledgeable doctor! Dr. Lambert is so calm and reassuring that when he tells you, "I can take care of this. I can't say enough good things about this practice. I recommend him to all my friends. read more
