Do not use this office. Edited at the bottom with important info…read more My husband and I both went here for a couple years. This week (in December) he went for a regular visit. We have good PPO insurance and our deductible is met obviously considering its the end of the year. They made him pay $171 for the visit. He tried to tell them it couldn't be right but they wouldn't listen. He left and called blue cross who called them and they said he should have been charged 26$ so blue cross called epiphany and told them that. They said they refunded it. Well refund never came and they never gave an amount. I called today and waited on hold for billing for 20 minutes once I got billing here is what I was told. A lot of the time they can't pull it up to find out what insurance says is owed or if deductible is met. Front desk and billing are not allowed to process refunds so all the girl could do is send a note to billing and they did nothing with it because according to the billing person "they can't process them either." She had to ask a manager or something to be able to refund the large amount owed back. I have health issues and go to docs constantly and ive never seen anything like this. Most offices run your insurance before you even get there. Epiphany waited till check out and apparently "aren't able to pull it up a lot of the time." And then no one can refund it and they also ignore the fact a refund is owed because they can't process it. Not going to deal with this again. I spent 35 minutes on the phone and this was my 4th time trying to get someone that could help. Edited to add that they harass you after you write an honest review. When the billing girl said all of this I asked for clarification repeatedly and told her if this is really how they operate I would share a review and she said it was. Theres two locations and initially I put the review on the wrong one. They called, I immediately fixed it. Following that they called my husband 6 times asking him to have me take it down. How about you work on fixing the issues in your business instead of harassing someone that shared their honest experience.

I saw Dr Lambert 3 years ago and had a good experience, but clearly this practice has become like…read moreso many of the medical facilities in Tyler, money driven to survive. I had a terrible experience with the PA Named Paige, a young woman who looks as if she stepped out of high school and clearly has no experience in this field. Here is my review of my appointment yesterday: Worst experience with a dermatologist ever. The PA was incompetent and fairly arrogant. She took a Quick Look at my forehead and began to tell me options like burn it off, cut it out, all available after saying it COULD be precancerous. For her to immediately start listing money making procedures without really examining me felt very wrong. Then she put the decision back in my lap, basically to tell her what I wanted done. How could I know without a more thorough explanation of what was going on? We had been together all of 5 minutes. I questioned her about maybe it was this or that...she argued that it was not this because of scales.....but nothing else. I wanted to ask about chlorine from swimming as our pool had been heavily treated recently, but there was o discussing ideas with her. After a brief pause, she asks me to decide what I wanted to do, I asked her," are you asking me to diagnose and decide treatment?" She answered somewhat annoyed, " Well, I can decide for you." I did not have enough information to answer her question so we sat In awkward silence for a few moments. Then she offered to prescribe a steroid cream, At that point, I told her I did not feel comfortable with her and would be going elsewhere. We left immediately. I did not really want to see a PA, but was told at the time of making the appointment that Dr. Lambert was not available. This place will be loosing a lot more patients if you push them off on this PA.

So we decided to try it. First, I should have taken the hint when we basically signed a waiver to hold the Doc and USDP harmless if any side effect harmed my son. Second flag missed, the script never showed up at the pharmacy. Come to find out the Doc forgot to get Pre-Authorization through my Insurance. Three days later, that was accomplished. Third flag missed, I then picked up the script and was counseled by the Pharmacist, without asking if I had questions about the use and what to watch for with this drug. I still regret missing all of this. My son began taking this drug as prescription and of course 5 of the 7 things we were warned about started happening to him. Nausea, vomiting, stomach aching, diarrhea, really bad headaches (2 Advil did NOTHING to it) and my son was miserable. After a week of this, I told him to stop taking the drug. Within a 48 hours all of the effects were gone and he was back to normal. Fourth flag, didn't miss this one, I called US Dermatology Partners to let them know that I have taken my son OFF the drug and see if there is anything I should be looking for (withdrawals or anything) and the RUDE nurse said I should have not have done that but she would ask the doctor about it. She then called me back after speaking with him and said that all of things I described are NOT the meds but sounds like a Stomach Bug that was going around. I mentioned to her that ALL of them cleared up within 48 hours after the last dose was vomited up. She was Rude enough to tell me to put him BACK on the meds and I informed her that would NOT be happening. Fifth flag, We kept the 30-day later appointment to see if there was a Ford or Chevy version that my son could handle better and was told that Accutane gave us the best chance and we should get him back on it. My son told him "Hell NO!" and I agreed without even calling him down on the H word. They then sent a different prescription to DFW Pharmacy in Arlington, We are in Tyler, and were told to give it a couple of days and if we hadn't heard from them, to contact the pharmacy directly. Sixth and Final flag, two days later, I called DFW Pharmacy to find out about my son's script and they had no idea what I was talking about! So, I called the USDP back. Talked with an Operator who said it looked like it was still "Pending" and I asked her to push it through and she sent me to a nurse's voicemail. I waited for 2.5 hours and called back, hoping to talk to the nurse, NOPE voicemail again!!!! I am going somewhere else with my son!!

On my appointment day at check-in, I provided them with my insurance card from my employee group plan so they could verify my insurance. All was completed and procedures were done. Months later, I got a bill for about $2,000 for charges that my insurance didn't pay for. After many back and forth conversations with the claims dept of United Healthcare and Dermatology Partners, apparently a referral was required from my Primary Doctor's office at the first appointment, and they even mentioned it was noted on the insurance card I provided to her. I personally contacted my Dr to try to get a referral, but they informed me that too much time had passed and they wouldn't be able to provide the referral. In any medical office I have been to, if my insurance is out of network or something is required of me, I have ALWAYS been notified ahead of any procedures so I can easily rectify the problem to carry on with the appointment. Dermatology Partners greatly failed me in this process that is done prior to even being able to go through the doors to meet with the Doctors. After numerous calls, I was told that ultimately I was responsible for payment and they offered me a slightly discounted bill. Each time I was making my monthly payment, it bothered me to think I pay a lot of money each month for my insurance premiums to cover these types of expenses, and because of a huge error in an insurance verification process, now I am stuck with an even more excessive amount. If I had been told at check in that I would be expected to pay $2,000, I would never have proceeded. I have decided to stop making monthly payments, although I know that will result in collections, because I refuse to pay $2,000 on a fixed income for someone else's mistake.

It appears these gloves only protect them but not patients for potential infection with virus and bacteria. Second, the sutures were not completely removed. The nurse said I had to pay for a copy. It is my first time to be rejected for having a medical record for second opinion in last three decades. Taken together, I do not recommend this clinic to you and my friends.
