After asking them to diagnose a problem with our four wheeler, we get it back in pieces.
    Marie H.

DON'T GO HERE. My husband brought our four wheeler to them to see what was wrong with it. After they took it apart they called us and stated it would cost over $800 to fix. Some of the parts that they said are bad, we had just fixed. Once my husband told them that he did not want them to do the work they said it would be $125 to put all the parts back together on the four wheeler. My husband said that was ridiculous and told him that they would be glad to give them $25 off if he did not put a bad review. He told them leave the parts off the four wheeler that he would pick up everything, which we are doing right now, but was going to write a review because people need to know how horrible this place is. I hope that the corporate offices of Polaris, Yamaha and Honda know what kind of establishment is trying to sell their product and or fix. These people are not only horrible they are unethical. Have you ever heard of anyone diagnosing a problem and then charging you to put the parts that they took off back on? If that was the case, why would they not have stated that when they started to look into the issue. Then they were going to pay us money not to put on a review! Why? So that you can screw other people? If there was a negative star button they would definitely be getting it from me. Shady people/business, be careful!!

When i say dead: NOBODY BUT HIM, ME & my sleeping TODDLER i'm holding were there. I walk in, his back is to the door & he's standing behind register. No greeting. Im like Okay? 1st Red flag. No one, not even the manager could help me analyze the check engine light because he was the only one there 45 mins after opening. He said the other guy should have been here 11 mins ago, (at 8) he's running late. And shrugged. *cue the Awkward pause* him: i guess you can wait. Me: *confused* I was like well do know how long? Should i come back? Him: *2nd shrug.* I was thinking to myself, wtf are you even open? If someone needed a part, you'd need to leave registers for a moment to retrieve it. That's bascially "their thang." If anything you just lost money because when i went to fav location it took all off 3 mins to scan it, buy the thing and leave. I shit you not it took longer for the employee to print the code out inside, ring me up & explain to me wtf i was buying. Even though i was only on the property for 15 mins total. no apologizes, no damns were given. I expect this kind of laissez faire shit from a common worker but management? Do yourself a favor go to the one on fairmont. *Fingers crossed they close that location.*

Just an FYI to individuals that are looking to use this place for their car repairs. This place…read morecame highly recommended by a family friend and so I was OK with using them. I made the call to MAKE SURE THEY WORK ON MINI COOPERS - AND KNOW HOW TO!!!! It is not a Chevy or a Ford.... Oh yes we have worked on them before and we have even replaced a clutch before. GREAT!!! They came back to me with a turn around time and a price that we agreed upon. THEN 2 days after the agreed time, the car is ready (hmmm - if you can say that). We go to pick it up and it is over $500 more than what we agreed upon (without a call to approve) then when I get into the car there is the stability light on. I questioned this with the owner of the business and he said that it will go off once driven. I came on due to them removing the tires. Yeah Right!!!. Mind you I had new tires, alignment, and the car checked out with A++ rating not 4 mos before taking it into this place. Once driving the car for a day or two, the stability light NEVER goes off AND the check engine light comes on now. A week or two later the car starts throwing more errors. I honestly feel that they have changed out my computer system. Oh and remember the new tires - Yeah = the car is pulling so bad to the Left I am sure that the tires are toast now. So if you want your car, your baby, to stay in one piece - the way that you took it in -- do not take it to this place. They will over charge you and not tell you until it is too late and do other unthinkable things to your car while they have it alone at their establishment. Just Beware!!!

If you want to consign your motorcycle at On the Border Motorcycles in Pasadena, Texas, make sure…read moreyou understand what you're getting into. There are online reviews from many irate motorcyclists who have had really negative experiences with consigning their bike at On the Border, although they're more hysterical than informative. Hopefully the following will help you make up your mind - I wish someone had told me this before I got involved with them: 1. Read the consignment contract thoroughly! It will take AT LEAST 45 days to receive any payment for the sale of the bike. Excuses for delays will be profuse - DO NOT BELIEVE THEM! There is absolutely no problem with the DMV processing titles, and OtB's 'lender' probably doesn't even exist - it's just the invisible partner to the visible owner at the shop. 2. Bring a witness with you and even better record every conversation about the bike you might have with any employee. 3. Take lots of pictures of the bike when you drop it off. 4. Make sure that you understand and review every detail of the contract, and that every portion of it is filled out. 5. Make copies of EVERYTHING - both your contract and the OtB contract, any documentation that goes with the bike, title, repairs made - EVERYTHING! 6. Check with the DMV or police department monthly to see if the title has already been transferred and you were not notified by OtB. 7. Check OtB regularly to check the status of the sale. If the owner happens to be on the phone with a potential buyer while he's talking to you on the other line, it's a scam. 8. Understand that 'We'll call you back' means absolutely nothing. They won't call you back. If you really want to find out what's going on after countless delays, show up unannounced at the shop. 9. If and when you do get paid, insist on a money order or cash. Do not accept a check or even a wire transfer - both can go sideways. 10. Get a detailed sales receipt - include this stipulation in the consignment contract. 11. Here are some organizations you can contact to find out about your legal rights as a bike owner consigning your bike - be prepared: The Attorney General of Texas DMV of Houston DMV Dealership Licensing Division of Texas The Better Business Bureau You'll likely get your money in the end, but not without a long dance amongst the smoke and mirrors of the other bikes on consignment at the shop. Man - do those bike owners know what they've gotten themselves into? It's probably best to just go elsewhere.
