I'm a process server in California and their operation hired me, I finished the work, and they never paid me. A server I referred got treated the exact same way. If you think that's just my bad luck, go read their own BBB page. ABC Process Service has a C+ and is flagged for not responding to complaints, and there's a review right on there from another server saying plainly they did the work and were never paid. That's not one unhappy person. That's a pattern. The reason they run under three different names is, in my opinion, so the bad reviews don't all land in one place, and so one husband and wife working out of a single address can look like a big national company. They advertise offices all over the country that are really just virtual mailboxes. If you're a process server, do not do their work without getting paid up front. If you're an attorney or anyone who actually needs papers served, in my experience you cannot count on these people, and you'd be trusting your case to a company that hides behind fake office addresses and three different names. I'd stay far away.
