My main sprinkler line was leaking. I contacted the company on Thursday, 5/19 and they set up an appt for Monday, 12/23 with a time window of 12-4pm. Simon appeared at about 1:30 and the work was completed with a charge for one hour plus parts. Simon quickly found the leak and had to source some parts he did not have available. Issue: Sprinkler System - Unresolved Sprinkler System Repair 03/26/26: The purpose of the initial service call was to evaluate the entire sprinkler system, identify the issue, and obtain my approval before proceeding with any repairs, including parts and labor. The technician worked on the leaking zones and advised that the issue had been resolved. He assured me the system was functioning properly, and I paid for the service. A few days later, while planting flowers, I noticed the same issue had returned in the same area. I contacted the company, explained the situation, and a follow-up visit was scheduled. 04/10/26: The technician returned, performed additional work, and again stated that the issue had been resolved. He indicated that a valve had been replaced and assured me there would be no further problems. I also informed him that the home is currently on the market and will require an inspection once sold. He reassured me that the system would pass inspection without issue. I will forward the email from this visit for reference. 04/15/26: Upon returning home, I discovered the issue persists--the sprinkler continues to leak in the same zone. After spending almost $3000 for a complete sprinkler upgrade, I noticed several zones stopped working. I contacted the company to have them come out and fix the problem within warranty timelines and they explained an $85 fee would be applied. I told them that they need to fix what was paid for as the job was completed a month and a half ago. They refused and told me to use another company and then hung up the phone. Their customer service is extremely rude and refuses to accept responsibility for their poor performance and non-completion of the job. One of my zones would not shut off and I had cutoff water to my house. I needed this fixed immediately. Texas Lawn Sprinklers had a repairman out in an hour after I called. He went through what needed to be done (replace a valve) made the repairs and overall the price was fair for an emergency fix. Horrible customer service. The lady who answers the phone at Dallas office hung up in my face because I asked her why it mattered who was scheduling the appt as I was scheduling appt for my daughter. I HAD been a customer for years. When I called back she refused to let me speak to a manager and because they have caller ID suddenly the phone wasn't being answered at all. She was so rude and unprofessional! So many businesses that do this service...stay away from this company. Their rating is very low and I've read the comments. They don't need to be in business!! I gave two stars because the repairs they did were great. However they convinced me to upgrade my controller to a Rachio controller and charged me $900 for it. I should have done some price shopping because the same controller costs $129 at Costco. So I essentially paid $700 dollars for installation. Spend 5 minutes to tell me that I needed to spend $500 for a sprinkler controller ($99 on amazon) and @1200 for installing new backflow system. The owner of company himself came out with a crew, but could not fix a short in line to sprinkler valve. Instead they tied two lines together hoping that would fix issue. Didn't work. He proceeded to charge us $500 (for what I still don't know) and gave us another estimate for $1300 to run a new line. We then called out Hodges Sprinklers, who found the short in line and spliced it back, no problem. Only issue is that now two zones come on at same time - because Texas Lawn Sprinklers tied the lines together (sadly only they know where...) When we asked TLS to come back out and un-tie the lines they denied ever doing this and said they would have to charge us more! Unbelievable! Do yourself a favor - stay far, far away from this company. What a scam! read more

The main reason I schedule the service call was for a leak that was in my backyard and obvious. Texas Lawn Sprinkler required that I pay for an assessment of my entire irrigation system. I was ok with that as my intent was to resolve any and all irrigation issues. Post the assessment the technician walked me around the property and pointed out each area that required service. The technician initially told me there was no leak in the one area with water. I challenged his opinion and after several minutes he identified the leak. The technician then provided a quote of $800 to resolve all the issues. I approved the quote and he proceeded to complete the work. Upon completion he walked me around the grounds to show all of the areas he fixed and then he proceeded to tell me there were areas he did not fix because his company does not use clamps, the tubing or the type head that is currently installed. I hired this company to fix my irrigation system and if the technician was unable to because of skill, parts, or equipment he should have never quoted me for service and he should have cancelled the assessment as there are many other irrigation companies that have equipment, parts, and skill to replace and repair. The technicians final attempt at resolving this terrible level of service was to tell me it is only going to cost $477 not the original $800 he quoted. The technician confirmed the decrease in cost is because he was only on the clock for one hour and twenty-eight minutes and I still have leaks in my backyard. I would not recommend this company at all. In all of my years of maintaining a yard with irrigation I have never experienced such incompetence, overcharging, and arrogance. This is an example of terrible business practice. Had to have these guys come out 3x because they failed to test the sprinklers post replacement. Was charged $180 to have two replaced, then the next day $150 for a head that was not broken before they came, and I was charged for a full hour of labor when the job took 5 minutes. And then when they came out a third time suddenly 4 more sprinkler heads were broken. After being promised I would not be charged for a system test and revisit on their end, Julio got short worth me and told me he doesn't work for free and I have to pay. Buddy was hired by the Huak Pools when my pool was being installed in 2017. I decided to pay Buddy additional money to have a drip line placed around the pool and river rock added. Buddy sold me on paying extra for a "special glue" that could be used on the rocks to hold them in place since they were on a slope. I agreed and paid extra for the glue. After months of following up to see when the rocks would be glued, Buddy informed me that I would not be happy with the glue and he would not recommend it. Here we are over 3 years later and I have never received a refund. I even offered other work to make up the difference and he has been ignoring all attempts at a resolution. I had a great experience with Texas Lawn Sprinklers repairing my sprinkler system. So I decided to take advantage of their Christmas light installation service. Probably one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. Mass confusion, lack of communication, lack of interest in customer satisfaction. The crew - who imagine are just subcontractors hired by Texas Lawn Service- showed up and only completed half the job. I was also charged double the correct fee. When I contacted Texas Lawn Sprinklers, they were apologetic, agreed to refund the overcharge and schedule the crew to come back and complete the job. On the scheduled day, they never showed up or communicated with me. When I called to follow up, they were not apologetic at all. I was told they just "did not have time." If I were in their shoes I would've at least called to let me know what had happened and what the plan was to complete the job. So I have planned for someone else to come out and complete the job. It will cost me more money but it's worth it not to deal with this "service "any longer. In short sprinkler repair, thumbs up. BEWARE! Would give ZERO STARS if I could. We recently purchased a home and the sellers had this company come out and supposedly do $765 worth of repairs to get the sprinkler system in good working order before closing. Two months later, when we were in the home and turning the sprinkler system on for the first time, it was not functional. We had another company come inspect it who found 15 broken sprinkler heads and a leak preventing the system from operating. Texas Lawn Sprinkler supposedly provides a 90 day warranty (as seen on the face of their invoice), but refused to honor it to come explain the work they performed or verify it was done correctly. They wanted to charge $65 for the "warranty visit." When I first called and explained the issue, I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told someone would call me back. No one did. When I tried to call again I believe my number was blocked, as I got a message that the number had been disconnected until I tried from another number. Absolutely unprofessional and honestly probably in violation of Texas law regarding warranties. read more

I'll give them one star because the first time they came out in November, I believe they did a good job getting everything set up for the summer. However, the second time they came out is when the trouble started. In short, I accidentally turned on our drip lines last month and didn't realize that was what I had done. Texas lawn sprinklers came out, dug some holes, reset the drip line, all was well.. or so I thought. Fast forward 1 month, I tested the sprinkler system for the first time since the event and get puddling water from zone 1. I called Texas lawn sprinklers back as this is the same area the holes had been dug. Christine in there office proceeds to tell me I have a known leak from a frozen pipe associated with the freeze in January that my fiancé was told about during their last visit. All of which is false information. She continues to say I have to pay a new service fee for them to come out and it'll likely be $1,000-$2,000 for repairs. I explained this all made no sense and did not correlate with the events that happened, but she assured me this was the case. The notes from that visit even states "no leaks, everything good to go". We got no where with our conversation and I ended up paying a different sprinkler company to come look at the problem. They very clearly pointed out there was no busted pipe. There was however, two very evident straight cuts in the drip line and a completely missing sprinkler head where they had been digging. After calling back, Annie in the office stated her manager Olivia was conveniently at lunch, and Christine stated I was "not allowed" to talk to Buddy, the owner. I was told I would receive a call back from Olivia when she returned from lunch, but that has not happened. They obviously don't want to take ownership of their mistakes, therefore I highly recommended staying away from this company unless you want to end up with similar problems. We have a small yard with just a couple of zones. Called them to fix a broken head and they quoted a price that included one hour of work doing both repair and checking the system. Guy came out later than the time span they said and told me that to fix the one head would be the $130 quoted over the phone and an additional $65 to go over the system, and additional charges if any additional work needed to be done. A very disappointing experience. Paid for a full system check only to find many problems were overlooked. Numerous system leaks, controller programs were all changed, several drip lines not working and I was charged a second time to replace a control valve they had recently replaced. After several attempts to have them come back out and make the necessary repairs they never showed despite having an appointment. They also severely overcharged me for very inexpensive parts. BEWARE: I rarely post anything but felt that I should warn you all about Texas Lawn Sprinklers. My husband had them come out to replace a couple sprinkler heads. They offered a free system check. We agreed to this. The guy found nothing wrong in the system check and we paid for the head replacement. The guy tried to charge for the system check that they offered to be done free of charge. A couple days later, we received a text from our immediate neighbor that the water on one side of our house was spouting up in the air. My husband went out and saw the whole sprinkler head assembly was lying in the yard. Then he noticed that the back yard sprinlers was not coming on. We called to inform the company and they said it would be two weeks before they could come back. In the meantime we had to turn our sprinkler off and our lawn would not get watered in this heat. When they finally came back, it was a different guy. We found out they contract out to different people. This guy had no idea that it was a recheck until after he was done checking and tried to charge another a trip fee. He told us that the water pressure was high for the sprinkler system. He then left without even checking what we called for. A few minutes after he left, we noticed water flowing out of the water main. We had to call the city to shut the water off. We contacted Texas Lawn Sprinklers again to notify them that for the second time something is worse than before they came. The manager proceeded to argue that they did nothing to cause the new problems and we could not prove they did anything to cause it. To sum this up, we called them to replace sprinkler heads, after they tampered with our system, we now have a module out, a water leak, the sprinkler head is still not fixed and our grass is not getting watered in this heat. read more

I called them out to locate a broken valve. We moved into our home 4 years ago and the valves are all spread out in the yard. After an hour the tech guy found only two. He didn't find the broken one which I had only asked to find. He said there was another technician that had a better detector. My initial thought was, why not bring the "better" detector when you come out? He spent 1 hour and did not find it. I was told, sorry we didn't find it but that I still had to pay for the hour. I did not want them to come back for yet another hour. My neighbor recommended another company. He came out with what looked like a pvc wand and worn out head sets. He found it less than 20 min!!!!! Very disappointed in the service. They installed a new control box containing 27 zones about 4 months ago. The tech spent 90% of his time on the phone with the boss receiving instruction. That made me a little nervous, but oh well. Four months later, we hadn't really turned the system on but a couple of times due to heavy rain in this area. Spring arrives, and we plant some new landscape, and that particular zone won't come on. They come out twice, and each time tell me we need a new valve - only they can't find it & want to charge us $120/hour to dig up our yard to find it. Miraculously, we discover while they're here the 2nd time (we had tree guys on the property trimming trees and the system came on where they were working) - that zones are mis-wired. No wonder they can't find the valve. They said they'd send the original tech out to fix it. Before he arrived, I spent 2 hours trouble-shooting the system myself. Out of 27 zones, I found about 8 were mis-wired and 4 zones were missing altogether. On their 3rd attempt to make repairs, the original young man came out (same one who did the install) to fix it. He did not like my frustration, and he refused to own his mistakes; I finally had to ask him to leave my property without finishing because he stated that some of these problems existed before he changed the box (like 2 zones coming on at the same time). Untrue. He accused me of "yelling" at him when I told him he was responsible for these problems and that he needed a more teachable attitude. I never once raised my voice. Now, I'll have to hire a more professional service to fix their mistakes. Spare yourself the headaches. Use a reputable service with good reviews. read more
