I have a builder grade system ... and if you know you know! It needed some changes to make it right Lawn Sense came out to see what would make it better Gave me three options and then came out and FIXED it I could have had them repair it and then next year have them repair it and then next year repair it But I chose to let them FIX IT so we don't have to keep repairing it They added a valve that in my opinion should have been installed from the start but wasn't They put it in... Trenched past my sidewalk... Wired it up... Tested it... Then Filled in the divot... I am very satisfied with the results I would not hesitate to call them in the future You shouldn't either read more

Avoid this company if you're actually looking for repairs. I scheduled a service call for my sprinkler system because three zones weren't working and I had a broken head. Garrison showed up, quickly identified a faulty controller module--and then immediately pivoted into a sales pitch for a full system replacement. I clearly told him I'm selling my house in a month and only wanted the issue fixed. His response was that they "don't like these types of controllers" and I'd need to replace it anyway. No attempt to repair it. No effort to quote the work I actually requested. Instead, after a quick walk-through, he handed me three quotes ranging from $1,500 to over $6,000 for upgrades I explicitly said I didn't want. He also claimed my system was "leaky" while half the zones weren't even running. This wasn't a service call--it was a sales call. And they still charged me $75 for it, refused to refund it, and wouldn't even provide a quote for the repair I asked for. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. If you want someone to actually fix your system, look elsewhere. read more

I called Lawn Sense to have a leaking sprinkler valve replaced. I had already dug around the valve and PVC pipes. All they needed to do was cut the PVC pipe in 3 places and add new pipe and a new valve. The tech gave me an unbelieably high price of $775.00. I told him that I was very familiar with replacement and told him it should not take more than 1 hour plus a $15.00 valve. I called another very qualified company and paid $150.00 total for the repair and valve replacement. Lawn Sense takes advanage of people because of their not having a sense of what it takes for a repair or they are desperate to get it fixed. Shop around, Lawn Sense is WAY overpriced. I would never use this money hungry overpriced company. Forwarned is forarmed. read more

Worst company ever! They came out 4 times for a leak that I specifically told them where it was and instead they at first said it was mulch holding the sprinkler head down, then said it was not leaking (area was flooded) and lastly came out and upsold my wife saying the leak was in a totally different area and that we needed speciality sprinkler heads which cost over $1,000 to repair a leak that wasn't leaking and replace the heads. After the final time I repaired the leak myself and called to cancel my monthly membership fee since they were absolutely useless. She told me that there was no manager available but the service manager would call us back immediately. They never called. Do not use this company! All they do is constantly upcharge and are not able to actually fix anything! read more

I can't necessarily say I'd recommend this company to anyone else. My experience with them wasn't the greatest although I will say the techs that came out to the house were likable. My irrigation system is only 2 years old and I could see that I had a very small leak (I was watching my usage online) so I wasn't expecting a huge repair cost. I was more worried about how much of my yard was going to be dug up. Turns out, it was about 1300 dollars which I wasn't pleased about but...if it needs it, it needs it. About an hour after he left, I noticed that I still had a leak in the same area. I called but I reached a dispatch person because the office was closed for the day. I asked if someone can't come back out, could someone please call and tell me where to shut the system down. No one called. The next day, two more techs came and told me, due to the fix the previous day, it caused another part to fail and it cost me an additional three hundred dollars to fix. Just something in my gut tells me I got took. Their work is guaranteed so if I have additional issues with what they did, I'll have them back out. Otherwise, I'll likely call someone else. I can't say that I really trust this company. read more

Let me talk to you about my experience with Lawn Sense with a little bit of context. I am a former ASE master certified mechanic and now a service consultant for the same industry. People come to me because they value my insights into what they need to vehicles to keep them running, what is ideal to keep them going forever and what they don't. Or when they need help because their vehicle is broken down, they are on a tight budget and need transportation for their kids and family. I also have learned over the years that people really appreciate the heads up when they are about to get ripped off. Thankfully for everyone reading this review, congratulations and get a second option. I'm 28, first time home owner of a 2023 build in Anna TX. My wife decided she wanted to build a pond. TLDR.... she built it. Looks great, broke the sprinkler system though. So I spend some time tracing wires and trying to find where it might have broken and I can't find it (I'm a mechanic not a lawn expert). I have a pretty good idea of what happened and where the problem might be (broken wire). I work long hours so I decide to google "Top sprinkler repair near me" and Lawn Sense comes up as the first result. Their website looks professionally done and they have a BUNCH of 5 star google reviews so I figure "Why not". Give them a call and after a 5min wait on hold with a knockoff version of Queens "We are the champions" (but with "We are the pros" as the chorus) they schedule someone to come look at it with in a day or two but advised me they have a $79.99 service call fee. I say "No problem" and they inform me there is a 5hr window where he will show up. Service day: I get a text say "Hi, your technician Tommy (NOTSHARING LAST NAME) (Rating 5.0/5) from Lawn Sense is on the way to ************************* Tommy is a highly valued service advisor of the Lawn Sense team. With over 10 years of experience, he specializes in all things sprinklers on both new and old systems. We have no doubt you'll be happy with his services. Track now: https:******************* Call our office for any questions: (don't call them its just Queen)" Sounds good and so far, I'm impressed. Tommy gets to our home and speaks to my wife while I am at work. Gets to looking at it and my wife texts me saying "He thinks its a valve". I know its not so I call the main line asking to speak with him. (more Queen and about 10mins back and forth later) I get ahold of Tommy. He says we might be dealing with a broken wire but there is a $100 locating fee and it might have shorted out some of the valves.... Tommy... a power to ground short before a component does not short the component. I'm polite and tell him "Ok let me know what you find". What he finds is that every valve except one is on its way or is about to go out due to the short and they need to run new sprinkler wire for $2200 but the recommended repair is replacing all the valves and wire for $9013.... Talks about the great warranty and they have financing options for 0% for 36months. I let him know I am not interested and cannot afford that currently. He offers to talk to the boss to get a bigger discount. I say no. So my wife pays the bill. Its $314... I only agreed to $179.99... I give them a call. (more queen). They will call me back.. cool. Get a call from a manager "well since he wasn't able to do XYZ we will go ahead and refund you the difference" I appreciate that. (TDLR) local contact comes and 40 mins in, he finds the break. Recommends that we run new wire for $800 the 15 feet where the break is and would advise that we should run new PCV piping around where the pond is but we don't have to and it could wait if we can't afford it right now (about $1800 all in). He confirms my suspicions that a wire short before a sprinkler component would NOT short it out... Tommy that's still not how electricity works.... and I'm giving him a $300 tip for saving my A** from paying $200 a month for the next three years. F*** Lawn Sense. read more

I am having a driveway replaced and in the process all of my irrigation wires were cut. My contractor asked this company to come out and give an estimate for repair. The service and myself connected the wires and I helped identify the stations. In this process my contractor and this company got sideways and while I was in the house their guy cut all the the wires and left. I was a third party in this and they cut my wires. This is vandalism to my property. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY read more

This company is a joke. I scheduled an irrigation repair, got multiple confirmations, and even a text at 5:30 PM saying the tech was "on the way." I waited around 6 hours, in total and no one ever showed up. When I called, the office just said, "We're done for today and don't know what happened." No communication, no accountability, no apology. If this is how they run their business, I would strongly advise staying far away from Lawn Sense. read more

Good company. Ben came and made it right and made all repair. Inspected all heads and made sure everything was in proper operations.

Scheduling was very easy! Had a little snafu with one of the receptionists but Ben, the service manager, gave me a call within a couple hours and made everything right. He spent a good bit of time walking me through what issues I had and providing a range of what it might cost me. He was very kind and very knowledgeable. Will continue using Lawn Sense for my sprinkler needs! read more

Lawn Sense - Lawn Services Near Me - Mckinney, Texas

Found a mud puddle around one of our sprinklers and when our typical go-to Sprinkler company wasn't available I found Lawn Sense and gave them a call. We were put on the schedule pretty quickly and although Ben was able to identify the issue on the initial visit he didn't have the materials to fix it then. Thankfully he was able to locate and shut off the water line to the sprinklers so the leak would cease until he was able to return. Ben came back the following wee and took care of the entire issue. He was efficient, quick AND the cost was reasonable. Lawn Sense has now replaced our old company and become our go-to sprinkler company! read more

I sent my new address. I'll wait and see if this company makes right what they did, instead of writing nonsense blaming the customer

The technician was friendly and knowledgeable, after he left I checked part prices and I was grossly overcharged on parts. It's sad that business's have to stope to that level of deceiving customers. read more

They were kind, attentive and fairly priced. I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality Lawncare.

I needed a burst irrigation pipe repaired so I called lawn sense over the weekend and scheduled an appointment. They showed up today a few minutes early and repaired the burst pvc pipe and tested our full sprinkler system in maybe 30 minutes. They also offered a military discount which saves us about $40 on our bill. Fast, professional, reasonably priced and military friendly. Highly recommended. read more

Lawn Sense showed up on time and provided services that I'm too old to do now for myself. Thank you Lawn Sense!!

He came, He Saw, He Conquered. Made quick work of a worrying situation an ensured future moistness around the home.

Jacob has been mowing our yards for the past year now and we've been happy with his services. He sends you reminder emails the day before he comes out, comes consistently every 2 weeks during the season, and I get to conveniently pay our invoice online. Very professional and he does a good job with our large yards. I don't know what else you need in a lawn service, but he probably has that too. read more
