We all booked rooms and the reviews did not lie! What a unique and amazing place this is! A beautifully decorated home that includes a pool, a movie room, shelves of DVDs and books, billiards and more games. You can choose which room to stay in and my husband and I chose the "Steampunk Room." The room was located in a tower apart from the house. It was so cool! The next morning we had a homemade breakfast and it was AMAZING! Our hosts made us feel right at home and were so kind. When my cousin asked for another key, you'd thought she asked for the front desk person to climb Mt. Everest. The front desk person sits on a stool against the wall playing on her phone constantly and would seemingly rather be anywhere else than behind the desk at the Hilton Garden Inn Beaumont. The server was going through the available items on the buffet at breakfast when my cousin asked if they had rye bread as an option for toast. The server then said snippily, "if you would let me finish, you'd hear the available breads." Any question asked was met with the same cold and almost confrontational attitude. The bartender has a very similar demeanor. She was gruff and unpolished. She did not know how to make the most basic of drinks and also seemed extremely put out having to do her job. This particular location of Hilton Garden Inn needs to get a handle on their staff's interaction with the customers - it's not welcoming by any stretch of the imagination. Do better Hilton.

It also means it's easier to clean, which made me feel better about staying here. The Continental breakfast was delicious and the staff at the front were incredibly friendly. I highly recommend this hotel. One point of note that you need to be aware of. This hotel is used by a lot of blue collar workers for the refineries and other places. They can get a little bit loud in the evening but often are gone for work very early in the morning but often are gone for work very early in the morning. This didn't bother me at all, but if it bothers you, you might ask to stay away from that room block.

The next day I checked my credit card and saw they had improperly billed me for a future stay that wasn't a prepaid stay... and I had canceled within the cancellation window. Comfort Suites are usually budget friendly so I used my trust Yelp app to confirm and since I was charging it to my company I wanted to spend their money like I would spend mines. Check it was quick, I didn't have my motorcoach so parking wasn't an issue. I arrived about 3 am and the front desk staff was at her post and didn't mind my pop up. Before I booked online, it's has been my experience to ask because check in was actually 2 pm and some front desk staff are butt holes and hold to that technically. I couldn't get through when called because their number said no longer in service. When I arrived the dining staff was setting up for breakfast and the young lady who checked me in offered me what was out, that was VERY thoughtful. Even though I booked online my accommodations was as if I booked online as an Elite Member. I pressed my luck and asked if I could have the points, she stated she was sure and that the system would give them to me by my telephone number. I slept comfortably, upgraded to a suite, bed soft and comfortable, sheets quality and hot water. I appreciate hotels that offer charging stations, that says they understand we're in the age of technology and need options to charge our many devices. Here today. Absolutely would be back tomorrow!

Then when I was walking to my room there was a cleaning lady in the hallway who said "hi" and "hope you have a nice day". Got into my room and it was super clean. Everything was uplifting, and I'm especially grateful the Residence Inn in Beaumont hires such friendly staff and takes pride in their property. I have not had this same level of experience staying at hotels in Beaumont in the past - this is my go-to place moving forward when I come to town!
