Since moving to Kane, I have gone to Texas Hot every week. I have enjoyed everything I have tried so far with the Greek dog, nachos, French fries, and M&M pancakes being stand outs. The staff is also extremely friendly.

We stopped in for a late lunch or early supper. Very clean restaurant, Isaac, who waited on us was very friendly. Extensive menu, inexpensive prices. Food was good. We were happy to be able to sit in the front window and watch the traffic while enjoying our meals.

Texas Lunch, Warren, PA just like I remember it.

I don't get there as often as I would like, but when I am anywhere near Kane, I always plan to stop there. There was "Texas Lunch" in Warren, PA during all of my growing up years. The one in Warren opened between 1924 and 1926, but it is gone now. Texas Hot Lunch 4-Sons, is as close as it gets to the "good old days" that I have ever found. I don't know why yelp thinks I'm in CA. I live in PA

This has a Denny's type feel and menu but definitely more fresh. The prices take you back to the 90s, a sandwich under $10, what?? And the quality is very good. The restaurant has that personal family owned feeling and I enjoyed that. We got the pizza logs (sooo good, I feel like kids would love those) & 2 Greek salads. Which was were fresh and great. I also had a cup a chili which I wasn't too impressed with bc it was rather runny. But I am used to chunkier type of chili. Service was excellent & restrooms were very clean!

OKAY, this restaurant was all my IDEA...When I saw the signs for Texas HOT I was like what is that??? so when we passed through this little town full of old historical homes and buildings I said HEY LETS STOP. I was traveling with my hubby and daughter and they were hungry and good to go for anything new. The building it was in was old and the restaurant has been here awhile. I just absolutely love love loved the interior in the bar area with the dark wooden old booths from the 30s and 40s...GORGEOUS is an understatement for the décor. I order the texas hot which is basically their chili or sauce version for hot dogs..NAH...not for me...but it was a nice location. It was not that expensive and I would eat here again if I was in the area, just not the Texas Hot Lunch Hot dog..something different definitely !!! But if you are in the area, I would recommend you at least trying it out, just for the interior alone it is worth it.

Walking in here is like walking into a time warp sending you back at least 60 years. Everything about the place is out of date including the menu items and specials. I had the broiled fish which was served overdone, dusted with a low quality paprika, served in a bowl of what was basically water with no lemon, tartar or other accompaniment except for a creamy coleslaw which, I confess, was rather good but not good enough to offset the horrors of my main course. The service is friendly, polite, but disorganized and confused. My coffee came served in a mug from a nursing home which didn't exactly add to my enjoyment, but from the looks of some of their customers they may well have been on release or refugees from that nursing home.

I usually avoid ordering crab cakes anywhere but where I think they'll be good. I didn't expect excellent crab cakes in Kane, PA but I was wrong. This place makes some of the very best tasting crab cakes I have ever eaten. They were definitely on the small side, making their price a little questionable, but the flavour made it worth it. Not much filler and they were broiled to a perfect brown color. The mashed potatoes were also good (home made) and the salad was just fine. Hubby ordered a steak and the flavor was great. It was cooked a little longer than was requested, but still an enjoyable meal. The best part is that, the next time we come through town, I won't think twice about taking the kids in. There is a restaurant on one side and a bar on the other side (with pool table in the back). I will definitely return..

Our last experience at Twisted Vine was so incredibly stupid and infuriating that we found a new site for the family trips. We called on Friday night to ask if they were still dog friendly. We've taken the dogs here on at least two prior occasions and never had any issues but with COVID, we understood that things have changed. We were assured on the phone that the patio was still dog friendly. We piled into the car and made the trek over only to be turned around at the door. That is frustrating enough, but when the moron behind the counter started talking to my wife, she said they never allowed dogs on the patio (news to us, and our dogs who have been there) and that we must have confused them with the place next door (which we have never been to). We noted that we called the night before and the idiot shouted 'no you didn't, you would have talked to me!' My wife pulled out her phone and read off the number she called. Dumbo confirmed that was their number and STILL told us we didn't call (wtf?). She did seem to remember that we also asked for two cases of a particular wine on the same call (that supposedly didn't happen) which were ready for us to pick up. Do yourself a favor and bring some wine if you come visit Kane. Spend your money at the excellent brewery 5 doors down and the butcher shop a half mile down the road. Save your time and money and skip this place.

I wasn't in charge of the group and didn't know if the leader had warned of our arrival. The waitress said "No" she didn't know 20 people were showing up. She was a little flustered for about 30 seconds, but quickly regrouped. There was plenty of seating in the bar side of the restaurant. A few others arrived and we distributed the 20 rolls of tableware and 20 menus she brought to us. As more arrived, she brought a tray of 20 coffee cups and several bowls of little cream cups. We passed those around and soon she produced two pots of coffee which she quickly poured into our cups. We offered to pour the coffee for her, but she wouldn't let us. Then she brought 20 water glasses and a couple of pitchers of water. More folks not in our party came in and she would magically seat them and get their coffee. She efficiently took our 20 orders and within about 15 or 20 minutes, started bring out platefuls of food! I had an omelet, hash browns and toast and my order was perfect, hot and tasted excellent. When we were all done, she quickly produced 20 checks! This woman was spectacular! We were in no hurry since it was cold and raining outside and we were staying at High Pines RV Park. We told her we had all the time in the world. We had planned to cook our own breakfast, but the weather was just nasty. In slightly over 90 minutes, our bellies were happily full and our checks were all paid (and I believe most, if not all of us left 50-100% tips). I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I don't know how many were cooking in the back, but they(?) we're amazing as well. And as far as I know everyone in the restaurant was quickly served and fed. There was one other waitress on the cafe side. If you're ever northeast of Kane on Route 219/Route 6, please stop in and give this place your business. You won't be sorry!

In any case, the server was very nice about it and the Craft Beer was still vegan, and because we called ahead about the vegan burger option, they even comped the fries for running out.
