I have been under Doc Bohnenblust' care for a couple of months and I have noticed a marked improvement in pain level from the car accident injury. The difference with Doc B and another Doc that i went to is that he doesn't just pop your neck and sends you on your way. I get coaching on how to do rehabilatative exercises at every visit. I would not recommend going here for an adjustment. The staff is friendly, but some of the assistants helping monitor progress have no real training and come off as condescending and flirt with the female patients making it uncomfortable. This clinic runs a 1 size fits all type of adjustment/exercises and when new symptoms came up I felt ignored. I left feeling worse than when I started coming here. They recommend 36 adjustments at 3x per week and make you sign a contract if you select a payment plan that is for a full 12 months, which is something I have never experienced. If your insurance changes/lose insurance.....don't worry you are still LOCKED into that same payment but now you have a residual amount because you are now "self-pay," REGARDLESS if you stop going for adjustments, they still make you pay for the full 36. This is a money grab chiropractor. Don't fall victim to the "fake raw raw" salesy nature of this place/all the ads that you see on Social Media. read more

I just moved to Dallas and was looking for a regular chiropractor, I chose this place since they had great reviews and was in my insurance network. I arrived to my appointment, after waiting 30 minutes the front desk rep asked me to fill out new patient forms which I had already done online. She stated she could not find them so I just started filling them out, she then comes back and says she found them after I spent 5 minutes filling it out. Then I waited another 10 minutes until she had me enter a room for the doctor. I could see her and the staff talking and looking at me confused like they knew they messed up with my appointment but didn't know what to do so they just shoved me in a room. I was already pissed off but I figured I've waited 45 minutes so why not. I asked her how long it will be until the doctor sees me since I was the last patient in there before they closed and she told me it would not be long. After waiting another 15 minutes I walked out and nobody even looked up or saw me walk out, I was furious that I got off work early, and waisted an hour of my time. About 10 minutes after I left they called me asking how I am doing and I told them exactly how I felt, they offered to re schedule but I let them know that due to this first impression, I am not interested in coming back. I am extremely disappointed that my time was wasted. I forgot to mention that there were other patients who were in and out of there within a 15-20 minute span. read more

While Texas Joint and Spine definitely deserves a 5 star review, this is predominantly to refute the 1 star review below. Here's why: One year ago, I came here looking for the same kind of quick fix as the reviewer below. I was having neck and shoulder pain, and before moving to Texas, I had an ongoing chiropractor who would snap me into place and I'd be on my merry way. Nevermind the fact that I hadn't had an x-ray in roughly ten years and they had no idea what was actually causing my pain - they were simply alleviating my symptoms. At the time, that kept my happy, and I was frustrated to come here and have to jump through the hoops, such as a posture analysis, trigger point massage, x-rays, etc. It felt like it was all building up to a big sales pitch like the below reviewer describes... so I didn't go back for a year. Surprise! The pain didn't go away. One year goes by until I was tightened into a ball and couldn't move my neck, and then I sheepishly show back up. Without judgement, they finished the initial consult, and shared the results. My neck lost the normal curvature from an injury I had while I was actively seeking treatment with my last chiropractor, and over years of casually popping in for adjustments but never truly treating what was wrong, my spine began to instead curve towards my left shoulder blade. Ouch. Now that I'm working towards an actual treatment plan, I can say that I recognized immediate progress. Dr. B always finds just the right spot that needs adjusting and Matt expertly tortures the muscles into submission! The whole team is super personable and empowers you to achieve the results you need quickly. Plus Naz and Courtney are great at working with the insurance company and the calendar to fit an aggressive treatment plan into the budget and the schedule. I responded to a Groupon advertisement from TJS and that was my first mistake! I am in perfect health and just wanted an adjustment.They did a series of x-rays and tried to sell me an expensive plan that I just brushed off! I asked them to give me the x-rays so I could get a second opinion. They said they would mail me the x-rays. Still waiting! A "new patient evaluation" that requires an x-ray exam of every portion of the spine is the first clue of what is to follow. A "report of findings" to explain the chiropractic subluxation, and a proposed long-term treatment program are signals to cancel further appointments! Chiropractors who use this type of salesmanship always find "subluxations" and/or abnormal spinal curves and recommend months of chiropractic adjustments and years of "preventive maintenance. You can rest assured that you do not have "seven subluxations" that must be corrected with spinal adjustments. It's not unusual to have an abnormal neck or back curve, which is usually harmless or insignificant. Such curves cannot be corrected by manipulation. Patients are often told that they are in a "Phase 1" stage of spinal degeneration and that they need spinal adjustments to halt the progress of a curvature and to prevent spinal degeneration from progressing to "Stage 3 or Stage 4." This is pure nonsense! read more

It's been more than a year since I started the program. I ended it nine months ago. I have a torn disc in my spinal column that spasms about every year and had me consistently tight and sore in my lower back. Since undergoing their program, my pain levels have been lower and I haven't had a spasm. I appreciate the mixed focus on chiropractic and physical therapy. I went to tjs for lower back and hip issues I have had for a few months that were aggravated by a fall last week. I wanted to be sure I wasn't injured by my fall before being worked on. When I came in to TJS, I was having debilitating pain in my lower back. I explained that this had happened a couple times a year for almost three decades (with the exception of about five years when I was practicing yoga regularly), and that every time, a chiropractor was able to snap it back into place in a session or two and I would be fine. I had a very long first appointment with TJS, but no adjustment. Excruciating pain. I was told to come back for another appointment. At the next appointment I was told I had stage 2 osteoarthritis and needed a six week treatment plan that would cost me over $2500. No adjustment at that meeting either, so I got to keep going with my excruciating pain. I made an appoinment with another chiropractor, who confirmed that I did not have stage 2 osteoarthritis, and that whatever degeneration I had was perfectly normal for my age. In two sessions, as usual, he was able to give me adjustments that relieved my pain and had me back in action. I am so glad I did not fall for this scam (my new chriopractor tells me he sees it often these days). Getting a second opinion saved me thousands of dollars and weeks of pain. read more
