Turns out they know nothing about the permit process or how to properly install the pole. The outlets were not attached the line wasn't installed high enough and more fails. On April 2nd we got a Red Tag that cost us $75 that they refuse to re-imburse for. The fail was their fault. We paid for this pole in 2 payments in February that to this day they dispute the 2nd payment. After several onsite visits they finally figured out how to install the pole correctly and we got a Green Tag on May 14th... 3 months later. Now they say that we owe them $1137.50 and when I spoke with the female at the office she called me a liar. If I don't get a paid in full invoice today, I will be contacting my attorney. You can't afford to deal with surprise costs when money is tight, and it seems like everyone has various fees tacked on. I found Sharp-Tec on Nextdoor and decided to reach out. I prefer texting and was really happy that Tony was available to text and to provide an estimate. Having that ballpark estimate immediately and the quick communication made it an easy choice. I assumed it was a mounting issue and a quick fix but Mannie and Pedro came out and quickly figured out my wonky foundation was pulling it down. They needed to get supplies and I didn't think I'd be able to afford the new price of repair so we planned on scheduling for a future visit. However, soon after they left I realized I could afford it and went ahead with scheduling the repair. They managed to come right back out that same evening to complete it. It ended up needing a slip riser installed which will prevent this issue from happening again. He also tidied up the mess of cables left behind from various things by the previous homeowner. What's most important to me when choosing services like this is personability and trustworthiness. If I get that salesman-type vibe I choose someone else regardless of price. I never felt like they were trying to upsell. They were nothing but kind and honest. I am a DIYer but don't mess with electricity so I asked if I could watch because I was curious and Mannie went above and beyond answering my questions by explaining things to me like a teacher would. I really appreciated that. We're relatively new homeowners and have been looking for our go-to electrician and I think we finally found them.

I was impressed with the quick response. I asked for the cost to replace a breaker switch. She said she couldn't provide an estimate but the service visit was $75. (waived if work was done). We proceeded and Aaron (the owner of Straight Up) came to our house the next day. He gave us a quote for replacing the breaker switch (which we decided to do on our own since we had done so previously) - and we also found out we had a bad GFCI (from power washing the day before). His estimate to replace was $350. I thought that sounded way too high and he came down in price to $265. When replacing the initial GFCI did not fix the problem, Aaron started looking around and found another bad GFCI (replaced in the last 2 years with one from Lowe's). Aaron said to not trust any GFCIs from Lowe's or Home Depot as the quality is poor. He replaced that one and we asked him if he could check out pool light - another bad GFCI replaced (he had to go get another one). The total for replacing (not rewiring just replacing) 3 GFCI outlets was $650. That was the heavily "discounted" amount! When Aaron left, I called 2 local, reputable electricians (I would recommend Fox Electric if you need an electrician). Both companies said the total job (with their $150 service visit) would have cost no more than $300-400 (on the high end). So I am giving 2 stars to Straight Up for showing up quickly - but would NOT recommend. When I told Aaron about the comments from the other electric comapanies he said he would match their price if I had them come out and provide and estimate. I had already called them and he could have done the same thing if he truly cared about reasonable and fair pricing.

Professional and courteous at all times and trusted. Because our home was a new build, we have a lot of "little" things pop up without a warranty (second owners) Cameron and team always take care of us. They now have a very affordable monthly subscription which I highly recommend. The discount in the first service need has already paid for itself for the year and with more projects planned I am certain it is a value deal. Our lights recently went out on Christmas day and the next day we called, they came, and fixed. They even helped us replace a bulb as they had a taller ladder.
