The bad news was he thought he could carry them home on his motorcycle in 100 degree heat. You can guess how that worked out. He must have seen the viral cheesecake mousse fruits online, and got me a pumpkin shaped mousse. That fared the worst, and was a sad waste of almost $15! The goo I could scrape from inside the box tasted pretty good though. He remembered I loved kouign-amann in France, so he got me one of those. Unfortunately, Rocheli Patisserie's take on it tasted kind of burnt. I remembered last time I went in person, it looked burnt too. The good kouign-amann I kept going back for in France are golden and caramelized without going as far as getting dark and burnt. Thirdly, he got me the croissant supreme. That was by far my favorite! If you like croissants, and want a next-level treat, this is it! The crispy outside tasted more like the kouign-amann I like, but the inside is soft. Of course the glaze and cream filling complete the treat! He thought he'd discovered a new place, and I still haven't told him I'd been here years ago. It's fun to see my old review and see the croissant supreme was my top pick back then too!

While both desserts were beautifully presented, I felt they were overpriced for their size. Based on similar desserts I've enjoyed elsewhere, I think a more reasonable price would be around $9.99 for the blueberry and $12.99 for the pistachio. The pistachio dessert had a pleasant crunchy texture, but the pistachio flavor was too subtle and could have been much more pronounced. The blueberry dessert had excellent flavor, but it lacked the crisp outer shell that adds contrast to the texture. It seemed like it may not have been as fresh as it should have been, which could explain the softer exterior. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent customer service. Overall, while the presentation and service were impressive, I expected better value and texture for the price.

In between making the matcha latte and vanilla latte orders in front of me, she was stopping to take additional orders and payment from new customers. Maybe that is the system that works for her, but it seemed much less efficient. From the business perspective, it meant I waited rather than leaving since I had already paid. Two other groups of customers ordered after me, and waited at least 15 minutes for to-go pastries. Perhaps consider staffing with 2 people on the weekend. Definitely worth a visit and everything I have tried has been delicious. It just may require a bit of patience.

Elisa's is a small bakery located on Anderson Mill Road in a strip mall. The bakery and a restaurant are connected by an open archway. Elisa Bakery has a variety of sweet treats from cupcakes and custom cakes to baklava and other eclectic sweets. My husband gave me a 1/3 of of is sweet roll and it was quite tasty. My bakery manager was friendly and explained in a good amount detail the contents of some of the desserts. She conveyed that the bakery had been open 7 years and the restaurant 20 years.
