I have a system that is about a year and a half old. Had a few issues with it not cooling properly after the first year and after several visits across 6 months or so, it appears that it was a faulty valve. There are some underlying duct layout inconsistencies in my particular system but the valve issue was found and they are taking care of it. Aside from that, they really do have great service. All the techs have been thorough and pleasant. The owner, Henry, personally came out to look at my system after the ongoing issues and explained everything to me in an easy to understand way. It's clear now that I've chosen the right company to do business with. Last night, I was pissed because my system was having issues. Today, I feel confident that they found the problem and solution. I don't think I can say enough good things about my experience with Henry and his whole team. Long long story short our house is 4 years old and we had already replaced our HVAC system 5 months after we moved in. Plain and simple we were taken advantage of. A problem that could have been easily addressed by a competent company was turned into an opportunity for them to sell us a brand new system that was too big for our home. The system worked only because it was oversized, but we always had unbalanced pressure, high humidity and uneven temps. The company was never available when I called and then the system just stopped working and even then they were unavailable and when I did reach them they wanted to charge a fee to come out and check the system they installed. Henry, Cesar, Vincent and Chris from Texas Air Repair truly came in and rescued us. Henry promised they weren't going to run from the problem and they haven't. I did have to get a brand new system which is terrible, but the level of professionalism, and communication is beyond any business model I have ever worked with. They are literally a text or phone call 24/7. Henry stopped by today to check on some new system kinks that needed tweaking and he was super attentive and made me feel like I was being so well taken care of that I didnt hesitate to ask him tons of questions while he was here. With Texas Air Repair, it's not just the sale and installation but the service after the sale. Purchased a new complete system from them two weeks ago. Unfortunately the system had a problem due to a manufacturer's defect (they happen unfortunately. No fault of Texas Air Repair). I called late Saturday afternoon. Had an estimate performed for a full system replacement by Carlos. He arrived on time, answered all of our questions, was very courteous, friendly, and thorough through the whole process. I didn't use them but my sisters did. They been problem with their central unit for years. They replaced two units in a 15 or less time span. It was due to poor workmanship. They had Texas air repair come out after reading yelp reviews. They put a new heat pump in, replaced all the ducting, and Texas air even went above and beyond and did some sheetrock repair inside AC closet. My sister's electric bills have decreased by around $100 a month. I'm getting ready to replace my heat pump unit and I'm sure they will be my choice. read more

Had a tech come out and were told after checking whole unit out that it was the coil that needed replacing. After replacing the coil unit still wasn't working so tech came back out and said we needed a whole new AC to the tune of $12,000 +. Our 21yr old HVAC system had to be replace. With the upcoming heat wave we urgently reached out to various servicing companies, including Texas Air repair. First, out of the 4 companies we contacted, they are the only one who wanted to charge us a $80+ visit fee (for a "free-estimate"). Second, they sent us a young lad who had never done any estimate and had no access to their catalog and pricing. He was very nice and polite, but literally no experience. I would expect that a company could send someone is actually able to make an assessment for the replacement of a $8-15k equipment. This young person had to text the owner of the company (his dad) to actually get the estimated cost. When I asked technically questions about the warranty for parts and labor, he literaly had no idea ("maybe 6 mo" he told me). When I asked a question about the brand, he wasn't sure. When I asked about financing options, he had no idea and had to text to ask. When I asked about when could the work be scheduled at the earliest, he didn't have any clue either. Last, but definitively no the lest, I asked him to send me the actual estimate (in writing) so I can compare with others and make an informed decision...... Here we are, 3 days later, and I still haven't received anything from them. On a side note, their pricing (based on the oral cost the young lad gave me), was one of the most expensive... but once again I still don't know what the warranty conditions were and what was actually included in the pricing. All I can say is that this man did not have to come out late on a Friday night to help our family out . He could've came the next day to provide service . That alone speaks great character . I thought I was being a responsible homeowner by scheduling an HVAC maintenance call for my 4 year old heat pump, installed by Texas Air Repair in May of 2020. Price quoted in advance by Trinity was $125.00. Fine. Christian arrived on time, set right to work. Wait! Something's not right! Turns out, the CAPACITOR was not doing what capacitors are supposed to do! Uh oh! How much, Christian? He scans his phone for the best price (around $525.00)! But! TAR will give me a break of approximately $125.00 -- so the Maintenance charge will basically be eliminated. New capacitor installed and WAIT! the fan blades are not rotating at all! Turns out, Christian discovers that there must have been a power surge that damaged the MOTOR! I don't recall any surge having affected anything else in the house, but subjects mechanical are not myI primary strength......The motor needs to be replaced as well. Damage? Christian tells me we're now over $2,000.00!!!!! YIKES! The system is only 4 years old and I was under the impression that it should last in the 12 to 15 year time frame. Color me DISTRAUGHT! While the expense of regaining air conditioning on the verge of a forecasted week ahead of mid to high 90 degree temperatures was certainly NOT! planned, I will admit that Christian did EVERYTHING in his power to find the best possible price option after negotiation with Henry, the Owner. They managed to save me a substantial percentage of the original quote. They were able to schedule me as soon as possible during after hours . There seemed to have been a miscommunication on the service I requested , so I called the office to communicate that. My AC stopped working three days ago. I had a different, highly recommended by Yelp company come out and diagnose. They offered a high, mid and low option. Replace, fix and fix. They were leaning toward replacement at $13,000. I declined that. They came back the next day with a replacement of circuit boards, motors and thermostat. I wanted a second bid. Henry came out and found the problem to be a bad relay and burnt fuse. With service call, his total was $600. He looked up my existing warranty which will cover the parts for a leak in my coil. Even after a three year service agreement and a new coil, my total is a fraction of the other company and most of all, I'm confident the work is going to be done right. read more

Called them at 11:50am on a Saturday when something smelled funny in my heating system. Steven got to my house at 12:50. Within a few minutes he saw the problem (see photos). Our original AC company was bought out by another outfit. When the techs arrived, they were very knowledgeable--but quickly wanted to push us to replace the entire unit at over 2x what we'd paid for it originally. It's unfortunately common in AC repair to suggest unneeded work and upgrades or to suggest replacing well before the end of its serviceable lifespan. They know you are not going to want to remain hot and sweaty for long! It's really important to trust the company you are with and my wife and I are so happy we found Texas Air Repair. They are an awesome local family owned and operated business. Every person we've interacted with from Trinity on the phone to Christian the technician to Henry the owner have been awesome. This company responded on the same day as our heater broke down. Christian was the service tech who was very courteous. He also put on booties before entering the house as it was raining heavily at the time of the service call. To complete the repair, a part had to be ordered. He was able to get the part the next day and install it, thus restoring our heating. They were very attentive to getting the repair done in a timely manner as the house was not habitable without the heat being restored.
