I have a really great Orthopedic Doctor and he does his procedures out of this Hospital. I'm fact the Hospital is owned by the doctors and they all want you to be cared for in the proper way from check in to check out! From the time you check in everything goes like clockwork. If you are supposed to be here at a certain time, from the time you check in everything starts rolling according to schedule! There are no long waits here! Once you check in and get your wrist bands and sign your paperwork within about 15 minutes the ball starts rolling. The Pre-op nurses come get you and take you back you get dressed for your procedure and the start your IV. They then let your wife out husband comeback and stay with you until they are ready to take you back. Your Anesthesiologist will come and introduce himself and explain what he is going to do. Your Doctor will come and talk to you and verify what your having done. When they are ready they start to roll you back and start the anesthesia. The next thing you know your in recovery for a short while and they bring your spouse in to be with you then shortly take you to your room! The nurses on your floor will come and introduce themselves as you have a nurse and a nurses aide. They take extremely good care of you and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and give you your meds at the proper time, check to see if you need water and ice or whatever you want, sprite, coke, etc.... they will come in about every hour or two to check your vitals and see if you need anything. Put new ice packs in your your wrapping for swelling. Change your bandage or whatever needs to be taken care of. Someone from the Hospital Bistro will come take your order for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as you have quite a few choices from the Bistro Menu! I will say their food is better than some restaurants you may have been to!!! Everyone here is very caring as to your needs!!! They have a selection of Doctors that work out of here that cover anything that might be ailing you! Doctors of the Heart, Orthopedic for Hips, knees, or shoulders, Urology, they have their own Rehab Department and much more. The people here are very experienced in their particular jobs and are very good at doing it and very outgoing and Attentive to patient needs. I would not go anywhere else. I've had three different procedures performed here and everything has always went very well!!!

It was December 23rd, 2 days before Christmas when I missed an appt. and they charged me $60!!!! The lady said it was "hospital policy". Mind you, I attend physical therapy twice a week, so I'm there often. That was a bad business move, and even worse patient care practice.They have taken advantage of me while I was still vulnerable from surgery! I cancelled all future appointments so, they got their $60, but lost the thousands of dollars they'd receive through my insurance for my continued care. I really needed my PT so I will go to UTMB or Methodist hospital for all future appointments. This is a warning to all who choose any doctor or service through Houston Physicians Hospital. They will charge your card for any missed appointments. Do not recommend! **Edit to add: She initially said the fee was $50, but charged me $60. The copay for the visit was $10. Went in for a quick evaluation: blood work, urine test, and two short chats with the doctor. In and out in about 1 hour 20 minutes, no IV, no imaging, nothing fancy. They slapped a Level 4 (high complexity) facility fee on it, inflating the bill to over $12,000 total. Even after insurance, I'm left with $1,360 responsibility - for what? Billing said they "don't dispute charges" and only offered a vague internal audit. This isn't isolated; HCA has a long history of fraud settlements for upcoding and overbilling, including the largest health care fraud case in U.S. history at $1.7 billion. Reviews across HCA locations are littered with similar complaints: outrageous ER bills, unnecessary tests, and stonewalling on disputes. Their overall ratings are terrible for a reason - it's a pattern of greed over patient fairness. If you can go anywhere else, do it. 1 star for the exploitative system.

The front desk immediately took me to the back to start pain management and diagnoses. The team got the pain under control and properly diagnosed my issue. I have seen all the 24hr emergency cares popping up on every corner. But let me tell you there is a BIG difference between those and Elite Care!!!! The team is very professional with all the labs tools in house needed for testing on site. The facility is amazing. The Staff is most caring and warm to your needs. Made a few accidents from wounds bleeding, so the sweet receptionist cleaned and sanitized the area, and the nurse wrapped my calf until I was called back. I was called back within 10 minutes, nurse took vitals , Dr assess wounds after several shots of lidocaine in and around wounds , they were stitched up and the others covered with bandaids to control the bleeding. Overall I'm satisfied with the prompt response and treatment, and if anything else arise I shall return .

I had to call an ambulance for my mother on Tuesday march 31st at 4:30pm fire and ambulance came…read moreand picked mom up and transported er to Methodist Nassau Bay . Once in the emergency room . We had Dr wang to excess , moms oxygen was low, first thing she ask me is do you want to vent and i said no. She said she could die , I said yes but it would be natural. No machine , after 2 hours of oxygen was back up to her normal. We sat in a emergency room til 2:30 am and then moved to ICU . After all night we were in a rm #11. That morning we had Dr . Nina Zatikyan MD. She was rude and not compassionate at all . She told me I needed to get , power of attorney and will up there . She said your mom is in bad shape and didn't look good. This was our first meeting. Just crushed us but mom was alert and was better that day but was on high flow oxygen. As the day wore on Dr. Wang In ICU came in very polite and compassionate , we are doing everything and will be outside if you need anything . Then the heart doctor came in did every test , Dr. Ahmed Elsherbing. He told mom she had a strong heart. But kept monitor while we were there. The next day Dr . Nina Zatikyan came to the room and said you look better, total change from the first day. While she was in the room , I told her she took care of my mom in Nov. 2021 during covid and she said I don't believe so. She went back in her records the next day and said yes she did take care of mom during covid. This went on for 6 1/2 days in ICU. You have some amazing nurses in ICU Rachel U and Ashley N. These 2 nurses were so wonderful, we were lucky to have them for 2 days each .Made ICU enjoyable . The head Pulmonary Dr. Nina Zatikyan need to have compassion training , very cold , no respect for care of patients . if love one is in bad shape you should never tell them there dying, Should talk to a love one. I spent everyday and night with my mom in ICU. Just in case something happened . After ICU we were moved to a room on the 4th floor room 410 Sunday April 5th. After the move the next morning the doctors came in an said you were getting better, but you will be here a while . Dr Nina Zatikyan transferred her stuff to Dr. Jose Cuevas, nice gentleman was caring and compassionate. Easy to talk to and was there to help . We worked out a plan that day. So Tuesday came around and Dr Wang from ICU went on vacation. So we had Dr Donald Brown come in never met us before. I wasn't there, but he came in and told my mom that you aren't getting better. You need to think about hospice or alternative care . That just broke my mom. She called me at work , I came up there at 11 am and she was in the fetal position crying . So after first time seeing a patient for less than 5 minutes you destroyed her. Terrible bedside manor, she told him my son takes care of me and there is his number . But he never called . After therapy came in and she was able to walk . The next day Dr Brown came in same attitude , still no call. So that day we had nurse Jesus , wonderful at what he does , loves his job. So Friday comes around and I need to speak with Dr Brown, I got to my moms room at 8:30 am , and waited . Dr Brown came in an saw me . whole different attitude, but still talking down , not building up. I ask why they stopped PT , he said they said her oxygen dropped and he discontinued . I told him therapy said she did great and he said no. I said they were here and they said she did great. Then I ask when we could go home , he said home .I said yes , he said she can't go home . I said i everything setup , concentrator , tanks that will go to 15 liters incase of emergency . He was shocked that I knew what I was doing. He then said she could go home today. I said 5pm , he goes why . I said i needed to go back to work. He said we could go at 5 pm . Br brown isn't a compassionate person, I'm sure he does this more often. We were released and are home doing well. I also want to let you know that i was never given a survey for our stay. Plus also want to let you know that the social worker Alex called me the second day in the hospital. And I never heard from her again after calls to her and leaving messages . Plus I tried to contact Palliative care team member Sharice , calling and leaving messages. No return call either . So my whole experience at Methodist wasn't great. Your team members need work with more training for care of the patients. I've been in a lot of hospitals these last few years with my mom. But this was the worst experience , this hospital is close to our house but i think next time we will go to UTMB webster. Healthcare system here is poor, the Doctors like Dr. Nina Zatikyan pulmonary , Dr Wang Emergency , and Dr Donald Brown all need some training in compassion , respect for the patient and even the family members. I was a walk-in patient to the Gemini Urgent care. There was very little wait time. I had a serious…read moreinjury to my head that had been taken care of by Clear Lake regional emergency. I was concerned because I saw blood on my pillow after a week. I went to the Urgent care to have them look at it, and they cleaned it up and sent me home. I went back the next day at their request to ensure that everything was fine. They were able to remove the staples from my head and gave me antibiotics. The staff was incredibly kind and very professional. I had handled this experience of cracking my head open pretty well until today. Realizing just how serious it was, I was on the verge of tears most of the time. The staff held my hand and explained that I had every right to be that nervous. It was a traumatic experience and I've come through it well. I want to thank the staff at Gemini Urgent care Kenzie, Jackie, and the nurse practitioner Laura Gordon. They all treated me with extreme kindness. I recommend this Urgent care to anyone in the Clear Lake area that needs medical attention

On June 26th of 2020…read more I went to UTMB League City to get blood work done for the cardiologist.  The nurse stuck the needle in so hard that my whole body jerked forward.  Usually, since I am diabetic I usually bruise and hurt for a week up to a month but this time there was just PAIN.  I could not do anything, crochet, type, turn on a fan, get dressed or put on deodorant, etc.  Since I have arthritis and carpel tunnel in my right hand, I depended a lot on my left hand.  When my pain did not subside after a month, I called the UTMB complaint department.  I was assigned Dahlia, excuses were made but she stated if a doctor says my pain is from the needle prick then she would help me.  By week 6 I was in so much pain  I could not sleep and went to my local emergency room. I live quite a ways from UTMB and I could only drive with my right hand so going there was not an option. They said I need an MRI to assess the damage and know how to treat it. Dahlia strung me along for 4 months, every month saying something different, even lying about speaking to the doctor and what the doctor said. (Doctor confirmed it was due to the needle prick) She was very careful not to answer emails but only talk on the phone so there would be no proof of what she said.  Finally she says they will not pay for me to go get an MRI. I have to pay out of pocket and IF the technicians says my injury was a result of the needle prick THEN they will pay my medical expenses. I spoke to the technician and they said they can only assess the damage. Its not a crystal ball. At this point I knew Dahlia was NOT going to take responsibility for my hand and I could not afford $1400 for an MRI. Thats my rent money right there. I had already accumulated 100s of dollars of medical bills.  I was so stressed out I started getting vertigo so now Im putting out more money for meds.  As a result of not being able to use my hands, I had to put pressure on other parts of my body causing stress and pain to those parts of my body. My pinky and ring finger would go numb at night and I had the hardest time getting up in the mornings. I was miserable.  I called a few lawyers but it proved difficult, due to covid and other reasons, one of which was that UTMB is a state run hospital and as such is pretty much untouchable. This is NOT right. They should take responsibility for their wrongdoing.  I wasnt asking for monetary compensation. I only asked that they pay the medical expenses for my hand.  However on the advice of a lawyer, I called the hospital administration. I spoke to a person called Bobbi who was very rude and said they fully stand by whatever the complaint department did. As of that time, over a year later 08/21 they stated they still had not made a decision whether to help me or not.  I went months in severe pain and it wasnt until 6 months later that the pain even began to subside. I had to wear the splint for a good while to try to keep my hand still. The side effects to the meds were very unpleasant as well. The worst part about it was not being able to crochet. This was my down time in a very stressful life. During covid I was crocheting so much and buying yarn is a pretty penny to finish a blanket. All that yarn just sitting there and I could not touch it. It was so fulfilling to make something beautiful and now I cant.  Exactly a year later my hand developed a cyst and swelling. Then another cyst. Then a lump. I went to a hand specialist and he said without that MRI they cant know how to help me.  My hand never fully healed. As I type this my hand is very uncomfortable. My hand is weak and sore.  I do have some medical records, all my doctor bills, and screenshots of the times some of my phone calls. I just feel this isnt right and they should be held accountable.

I am already feeling tons better from the antibiotics and steroids. I was in the lobby maybe 3 to 5 minutes waiting to be taken to the back, I was offered doordash dinner of my choosing and I was not charged a single dime not even my copay. The pharmacy called and said my prescriptions were ready before I had even left the building. Talk about service! Absolutely love love your service and if ever in the need again I will be returning. I will also tell everyone I know about your services. Thank you so very much from me and my family for not allowing our vacation to be ruined.

Doctor Parmar is the BEST DOCTOR EVER!!! He is so down to earth and understanding. Very knowledgable and gas great communication skills. He took time to really understand what issues I was dealing with. I had multiple tests done including xrays and labs. They were all completed within 30 minutes. If I ever have issues, I would definitely come back.

I get it I've worked in Healthcare for 20+ years people take for ever to pay bills. I need to preface I had insurance and a $1100.00 balance due. I was paying $300.00 a month and that was not good enough. Calls, letters, all but a plane with a sign at the end please pay your bill. I paid it off in April. My visit was in November. I don't think that is too long, also to note I was in between jobs and STILL made what payment I could they were upset I would not 'commit' to a $50.00 a month payment plan, mind you I paid, faithfully every month a lot more than 50.00. I have a -0- balance due according to My Chart. I call the collection agency they say call Memorial Hermann. Memorial Herman could not tell me what agency it was with????????? Could not tell me if I would effect my credit only that I had to call the agency back.........So yea for fun I called the agency back. They tell me that my chart zeros a bill out if it is sent to collections. So the whole time you are thinking you don't owe a bill, which I DO NOT. Now that everyone at Memorial Hermann and IC systems has my address, and information no one seems to know who I owe this money to??????? Now on my 5th call to see if maybe this office is the one I supposedly owe money to Julio, Asia, Anice, Laura Now I need to call UT Physicians....are y'all having fun yet????? I'm not. I am however about to hire a private detective to find out who this money is supposed to go to. This is beyond ridiculous. I was thinking of changing my PCP to Memorial Hermann due to the wonderful care I received. I will not do that now. UTMB while the care is ehhhhh the billing is spot on. So there is that. Sorry Memorial Hermann you missed out on this one big time. Do Better.
