Texan RV Ranch is located on Lone Star Road right before or after you hit Chambers rd in Southeast Mansfield, TX, offering one of the best campgrounds for your RV in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. They offer a fully stocked convenience store with snacks, drinks, and alcoholic beverages. They have clean and private bath houses. Laundry rooms, a swimming pool, and also on-site propane. Personally, one of my favorite things about this place is the drinking water they have. It's a five stage filtration system that dispenses water by the gallon. I usually come here to fill up my 18 gallons of water bi-weekly, and I never had an issue paying with credit cards or cash and coins. The water tastes clean and crisp, and the pump dispenses fast. They also sell ice here as well. The customer service is great and friendly, and I'm always greeted when arriving. This is a must stop for your gallon of water needs, and it's especially convenient when living in the surrounding neighborhoods. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We've stayed here several times since 2021 because it's close to family. We had reservations for early October 2025. We arrived and my husband went into the office to check in but this time was asked what the breed of our dog is, he answered Alapaha. He was asked how to spell the breed and she looked up the breed then told us we lied and couldn't stay because the breed is allegedly made of a mix of pit bull. They cancelled us but didn't give us a full refund. This is the 2nd problem we've had here. During our stay in December 2024, my aunt came to pick me up. My aunt is an experienced RV traveler having made regular RV trips since the 1970's with her last trip about 17 years ago. I exited my rv, took 2 steps and a golf cart came screaming up to me. The female (most polite word I can attribute to this person) tells me my aunt was speeding and she needed to drive the speed limit. I responded with I doubt that and female was just rude and argumentative. Let me say, I was pissed about both incidents especially being denied in October and having to scramble to find a place to go before dark. Thankfully we did. Texan used to be a nice place to stay but things have drastically changed. I'm sure people will still give business to this place. You'll be treated ok until you're nitpicked or just flat out refused to be checked in. Stay here at your own risk. read more

It is a nice place to stay if you can get around the office receptionist, her name is a city in AZ. She tends to bully my wife and I tend to go into the office now because of it. I'm not sure if it's a personality conflict or if it is control. Management needs to be observant of how staff treats their guests, educate staff and made corrections or remove when necessary. read more

Please do not go here! I made reservations with my father and 3 dogs for 7 days. On our second evening, the supervisor came by on her golf cart and told us there was a 2 dog maximum and we had to leave. She immediately got aggressive with my 73 year old father told him that he picked the wrong person to fuck with and called 911 in an attempt to file aggravated assault charges on. After dealing with the police, I apologized for the situation and they negotiated with the supervisor to let us stay overnight and leave in the morning. Please distance yourself from this person, this park, and perhaps Mansfield. read more

dont stay here! the staff team needs to change! and it was not about the dog in the office matter! it seems like you give a person an assistant manager position and the person takes it way overboard with her title ! like an office micro manager. take customer service classes, smile & have a more positive attitude like the manager nevin and worker austin. when i asked for manager to call me back , her response was as she called me was " the manager wont call you back until he knows whats is it about ?!" i felt that was odd and strange . also after one matter, she called me , during holy week, i was enjoying my evening at peace, i was not going to allow no one interrupt my peace of mind, at end of our call i said to her " jesus loves you & its holy werk and hung up !" after that , i saw her riding her golf cart and i went to wave hello , she just drove by with a stare and never said hello or waved. shes that tupe of person, if upu get under her skin, ahe has a whole bad vibe with you ! i will pray for you always . jesus still loves you assistant manager ! have a blessed day! this evil world needs to spread more love ! not hate !!!! read more

We're thankful to say that Texan RV Ranch Mansfield is where we called home for three months. Went through a few ice freezes, few really bad rainstorms, many high wind days and a tornado watch during our stay here. Thank you for providing respite for our family of weary travelers! We'd like to highlight a few employees who made our stay comfortable: the sweet little cleaning grandma who lovingly boasts of her grandson while making the laundry room and showers sparkling clean. Nevin and Martha in the office were ALWAYS so pleasant to see and interact with. They truly have a heart for people and it shows their their smile and their work ethic. And the office kitty cat. I have been here for almost two years. I love it! The bathrooms and laundry facilities are clean. The management is great!

This was the first place we stayed in our new RV, we stayed 3 and half months. The management was friendly and effective. There are standards and they are enforced. Our lot was level, paved and spacious. The utilities were easy to use. Wifi internet is free and there is an option to purchase service giving improved bandwidth. I found the cost modest. I am a remote worker and had no difficulty. Our neighbors were friendly and helpful when needed. Although the facility is near a highway, we were not bothered by road noise. There is convenient shopping, restaurants, and medical within minutes. We left to travel for three months and are now on a waiting list to move back in. We are full time RV'ers and have stayed at 100s of parks. This is a great place to stay for a short visit or long term. The park is clean, staff is friendly. They have two shower and laundry houses that are excellent. The washers are great and the dryers actually dry your clothes. The showers and latrines are clean and spacious. Dumpsters are located conveniently in the park but not too close to any site which is a good thing. The office also doubles as a small convienent store that sells anything you might need to save you a trip into town. Ice is priced reasonably, snacks, beer, tobacco, lotto, luncheon meat, cheese, ice cream, water, sodas, snack bar, chips, fountain drinks, laundry soap, and RV supplies to get you out of a bind. Every site has its own mail slot in the office behind the counter. The pool is very nice with shaded areas around it with picnic tables. The playground is nice as well. A larger but quiet park, no complaints here so far. read more

This place has been a lifesaver when we moved into town and needed a place to stay for as long as buying a house would take. We planned to stay in our RV but ended up parking it and renting a cabin. The management is fantastic, really nice and caring people, and the place is family oriented. A lot of kiddos. Mine were happy to enjoy the pool in the afternoon and make friends. The laundry area was super convenient and clean. The site also offered family meeting times as free family breakfast on Saturday. We were glad to find a house but sad to leave the Texan RV place!! (Especially me... did I mention they offered cleaning services for the cabin just like in a hotel??) read more

Nice park with pool and grocery store. Friendly staff, level sites. The gravel roads are quite noisy though and there appear to be "smart" meters on many of the sites. But the laundry/shower facilities are the nicest I've seen at an RV park. You get your own bathroom with full shower, a nice one too, not just a concrete stall. read more

My husband travels for work and we live in our RV during his season. This park was the absolute nicest one in the area. It's close to everything and the railhead where my husband is working. Christy the manager is an absolute sweetheart to work with and got us in to a wonderful spot. The staff was great in any thing we needed. The facilities laundry and bath house are the cleanest I have ever seen. The pool is always clean and so are the grounds. This is a very kid friendly park with a playground and pool. I am very surprised to see that there has been only one review for this RV park! This is a very well kept RV park! The management is outstanding, all staff here are super friendly and make you feel very welcomed! We have three Yorkies and there are three doggie exercise area, our kids are having a great time here! The manager Rick is always around, friendly and trying to accommodate you in every way he can! The staff are always busy doing something around the park... mowing the grass, cleaning the laundry room, cleaning the pool... this is the best kept RV park we have ever visited! We have been here since April and I will be very sad to leave when Hubby will be transferred to Temple area next month! :( read more

Crappy service, checked out the location and really liked what we seen, many ran down units but nice ones as well but I didn't care about that as it's not what makes the people who they are by what they have. We own a very nice house and a very upscale neighborhood in Kansas and are down here for work which only one of us so far as gotten a job since being down here. So we decided to make it cheaper that we would just pay cash for a RV so that we could afford our house and our lot rent down here. When we went in to ask questions about their park in the video store a young boy was behind the counter and ask what year of RV we had right off front. We mentioned that we had a 2001 Dutchmen that's been very very well cared for. He doesn't ask to see it or anything just says nope we don't let camper that old in our park and went on to talk to another person in the store. Wow was we surprised at his rude behavior and attitude!! With the fact that their were many that were more ran down and older then ours I wanted to say something but wasn't going to argue my case with a child. Wouldn't recommend if this is the type of people they employed for them!! read more

When they say that WiFi is one of your "amenities " at this park...... I have to call bullsh** on that one. I cannot even pull up other rv park websites to plan the continuation of our trip. So.... if you require WiFi for work or whatever - this is not your place. This will be incredibly frustrating to you. Also this is one of those places with lots of little idiotic, annoying rules. Such as..... I was in the pool and this lady came RUNNING out of park office to tell me that "no drinks were allowed at the pool". Now mind you - Drink in question was a standard 8oz PLASTIC WATER BOTTLE WITH THE LID ON IT sitting by the edge of pool. Oh god forbid we get any water in the pool. WTF? (So hey - you guys that like to enjoy a beer or other adult beverage by the pool in 107 degree heat of Texas summers..... uh...you won't be happy here). Immediately I knew this could never be a long term place for me. Park does have some pros however and they are: 1. Ok pool. It's a kiddie wading pool depth basically - but at least it's a pool and that's important in Texas summers 2. Decent bike riding. All gravel..... so not perfect. But ok. 3. Has attached store (that you cannot use thanks to the ever popular excuse of COVID 19). **Major eye roll** 4. Good bath house n laundry combo. 5. Cool looking park model rvs on site for rent. All in all, I'd give it an ok rating FOR SHORT TERM ONLY. Grounds are fairly well maintained. read more

Great campground. Very clean and the store carries a little bit of everything, even adult beverages and they are reasonably priced. There is a gravel area in the center with very little shade and a couple of rows, mostly full timers, that do have shade. Very clean and we will stay here again. read more

Me and my wife stayed for 3 or 4 nights in April of 2015 and loved it!!!! We have stayed in a lot of parks and it is 1 of the best we have ever stayed at. Everyone there was helpful, friendly, very nice!!. the park, pool, bathouse, and store were jam up!!! I would give it a 10 star if I could. I stayed here for 3 days, 4 nights during a recent trip for a family funeral. While I didn't spend too much time actually in the park, I did have interactions with the staff and saw quite a bit of it as I was running around. I found the staff to be very friendly, accommodating, and willing to help. While I didn't buy anything, I did a quick run through the onsite store and thought it looked like it had about everything you'd typically need. The park was clean and everything I saw was in good repair. There's also easy access off Hwy287 and it's very easy to get to either Dallas or Ft. Worth if the need exists. I found the park very quiet. I'll also add that I found the electrical supply to be very, very good! I've grown to judge a park by the power that I get as I realize (as we all should) that an inadequate power supply can be very detrimental to your rig. On the downside, the cable connection simply wasn't worth the time to connect: sketchy reception (!) and it wasn't high def. I got 100% better TV through my over-the-air digital antenna than I got via the cable. They provide free WiFi and while I didn't use it much, it seemed to work fine. The grounds of the park are a rather large gravel bedding. While this does make for a stable driving and parking surface, I would agree with the other reviewer that it's not comfortable to walk on and I'd imagine it's not comfortable to 'camp' on, either. They also had a rather nice looking swimming pool and a smallish park attached to it. I didn't enjoy either, but they looked nice. I would agree that the park is more residential than transient, but that fact didn't seem to impact the park itself...it certainly didn't impact anything I saw. All-in-all, if I had the need, I'd stay here again. read more

By far one of the nicest parks I have been to! Very clean, beautiful landscaping, big spaces, huge dog runs (two of them). They have a clean laundry facility and huge 4 individual bathrooms with showers. The bonus is the front office with a convenient store inside for all your last minute needs. The ladies that work the front desk are great--very friendly and helpful. They have a big clubhouse for events, and a huge pool outside with nice lawn furniture. You don't feel like your neighbors are right next to you at this park--they are spaced wide enough apart. This is a great park and the owners are very friendly. You feel safe here! I really don't think there was a single bad thing about this park, except for the gravel spots--there are many gravel spots in the back. I prefer the grassy spots, so you actually have a yard. You can rent a cabin (they have about 5 available) for friends when they come visit--the cabins are very nice. My folks' stayed in one and it was complete with all the kitchen tools you would need, plus a very nice bedroom and bathroom, at a reasonable rate. This is a hidden gem of Mansfield. I really don't want too many people too find out about it, because I'm afraid it might get too packed! The rates are about $380 a month plus your electric, which at most we paid about $140 in the summer months. We stayed here from July 2011 to June 2012, and loved it. Rick is a great manager and takes care of this park well! read more
