Thank you to TestCrackers for all the support in my Executive Assessment…read more I took the GMAT Prep Course in May of 2024 to apply for business school. As a non-profit founder, I was in a tight budget and Yuri gave me a discount to afford the program. He sent me a free Foundations of Mathematics book and created a strategy to get me up to speed in preparation for the course. I would not have been able to complete the prep course if it were not for him. Seth, the Quant teacher, is one of the most brilliant minds that I have encountered. Not only knowledgeable and an expert in the content, it is clear that he is also passionate about what he does. As I was once a teacher myself, I could see that he has a great understanding of exactly what each student needs in terms of motivation, confidence, or accountability. High IQ and High EQ make him an invaluable asset. He has continued to advise me in my Business School journey and I probably wouldn't be able to excel without his support. But Martin was my favorite teacher! Martin teaches Verbal Reasoning and he welcome all students to provide their opinions and challenge the exams. He welcomes collaboration in the classroom, is humble enough to share when he is incorrect, and makes the classroom feel like experiential learning even when its online and remote. In my opinion, this is the easiest and fastest way for any student to grasp new concepts and he does a fantastic job in facilitating. With that being said, I was able to not only finish my exam, but I also was accepted into my first choice business school, one of the top programs in the world. Thank you so much to TestCrackers and the Team! Your work is invaluable. Although there may not be significant marketing for this company, their value and the results they generate speak volumes and is a testament to the quality of this company.

Before I signed up: Early in January this year, I emailed BP if they offered student discount. They did but you had to go to their on campus event, which I did. And I emailed them asking if I was eligible to receive discount. The team member Krysta replied me and asked my name so she could verify my name on their sign-in sheet. She couldn't find my name (don't know why but I did) so she rejected to give me a discount code. Didn't really feel she's helpful. One month later, when I almost wanted to sign up another prep course company, I received their email about promotion code for signing up their course. I used the code but there's a bug on my account and I couldn't see the course showed on the home page. The other team members, who were really friendly and responded to my question fast. During the prep course months, they are very open to my feedback. BTW, I personally really like the recorded online course as secondary study materials. They just need to have someone really proofread and double check the courses, small errors like bugs in the videos, typos, notes doesn't match the instructor's words, suggestions on improvement for the courses. For the live online course: you have access to two live courses, recorded courses, homework (with video explanations), and office hours, which are host by different instructors (I found my favorite instructors there! love their office hours) I don't feel there are much different than in person class. I can enjoy eating my dinner with my pajama while taking the class. I can come back and rewatch the live recorded courses if I have any questions on certain topics. The instructors I have Jelena Woehr as my instructor. She's nice. However, I found that her voice is tooooo sofffttt that almost makes me want to fall asleep every time I take her class. She doesn't have many notes from herself like other instructors (will talk about it later) I didn't really learn much from her, because mostly she goes over the book. Missed 3 or 4? out of 12 courses (replaced by Dylan, who I found is the best! ). For other instructors, my reviews for them are based on office hours mostly. I love office hours and I think it will be a great if BP can open some free office hours for people who want to sign up the course and find the instructor they like. Jelena's course time was the best that can work for my schedule when I signed up, and I had no clue which instructor is better for live online course. If I knew whose class I wanted to take, I would sign up for the instructor's courses that I was sure to take. - Instructor Dylan Gadek: 5 stars! he sub for Jelena 3 courses and I found that he has great knowledge of what he's teaching. Funny guy. his class is very structure. has lots of his own notes and methods. you clearly know what you expected to learn from each of his class. I am still taking ALL his office hours. He's been teaching LSAT for years, and he used to teach MCAT. I found that LR & RC are his strongest part of teaching. - Instructor Chris Whyte: 5 Stars. He and Dylan are the top 1 instructor at BP from my opinion. He's really good at LG and RC. really knows what he's talking about and well prepared for every office hours. - Instructor Kyle: hmmmm..... I took his office hours for digital LSAT 101 topic. I am not sure if he's not prepared or what, the whole video, he seemed like really don't know what happened. 90% of time he said: hmmm.. but.. yea..." and he said "I don't what I am talking about lol " I had to use 1.5 x SPEED to listen his whole video. In the video he seemed like he's just reading the scripts? not really well prepared for this office hours. If I watch this video before signing up the course, I would not choose him as my instructor because I really don't want to spend money on instructors who are not prepared for the course. OMG, I wrote too much.. I need to take a break. The class is almost over, but I will still do their monthly subscription, just for their office hours. I will come back and updates the rest of the other instructors and this live online course reveiw. If you read through here, would you mind give me a like so I know there IS/ARE person/people reading my review, and I will come back finishing it just for those people?

Erfun's tutoring was instrumental in showing me the right way to think about questions, how to manage my time properly, and how to do homework the right way. I really appreciated how structured he was. From the diagnostic session, he set up a customized syllabus and executed it to perfection throughout our sessions. And to keep me accountable, he assigned me daily homework. This was truly a lifesaver. I had my marching orders after each session and knew exactly what I needed to do between sessions. On top of all of this, he has a ton of materials you can't find elsewhere, and he used these to really customize the sessions to make sure we were addressing my exact needs. With his help, I ended up scoring in the high 600s. Can't recommend him enough!

From the first lesson, Erfun did a full diagnosis of my situation and set up a study plan focused on my exact needs. The structure was really helpful: we had a plan of attack for every week of my prep, and at each session he provided me with detailed, daily homework assignments. But what really impressed me was his knowledge of the exam. Erfun knows the GMAT inside and out. Yes, he knows and effectively teaches the concepts, but more importantly, he teaches you how to THINK through the exam in the right way. His emphasis on reasoning and strategic thinking were what really propelled me to my goal. His teaching style is effortless but no BS. If you listen to what he say and do what he assigns, you'll see the score you want. Yes, he's more expensive than most tutors, but you're investing in your future. I HIGHLY recommend him

If you're debating about enrolling in a GMAT prep program you might already know that the subjects covered in the GMAT are far ranging and can seem very complex for the average test taker. Speaking for myself, the math portion, also known as the quantitative portion would be the biggest hurdle, as it had been some time since I had taken any math in a classroom setting. I believe that teaching the math subjects can be very cumbersome for an instructor, as everyone in the class came in with different levels of understanding. That being said, Ken recognized that and took his time to start with the fundamentals and build up from there. He truly has the heart of a teacher.

I am utterly indebted to Chris Peckover and could not be more appreciative of his help. He is simply a fantastic instructor. He will push you with your homework, target your weak areas, answer any questions that you have and help in any way possible. Chris is a GMAT expert and will hold you to the same standards. If you need to improve your GMAT score and you're in the Los Angeles area, it would be massively helpful to work with Chris. It took a ton of work on both Chris' and my end, but we were able to bring my score up to a 710. This would absolutely NOT have been possible without Chris' help. I am so thankful that Manhattan Prep paired me up with him. I was recently at an MBA admissions event (at a top school) and the admissions panel announced to the entire audience, which consisted of roughly 300 hopeful students, that if you need help on the GMAT, seek Chris Peckover from Manhattan Prep (I was very excited when I heard his name). Yes, he really is that good. I am sure that students in his classes would agree with everything I have mentioned above, but I feel that I am especially qualified to review Chris because I hired him as a private tutor through Manhattan Prep. This was certainly expensive (on an hourly basis), but for me the cost of not having that extra help and custom curriculum would have been too great. My score increase would simply not have been possible without Chris. He designed a study program for me that was effective and efficient. Although it is expensive, Chris is genuinely a great person and does not want you to overspend. He was consistently giving me advice that limited the number of tutoring hours I needed and from the beginning, he made it clear that I needed to work as hard as possible outside of the tutoring hours so that I would need less of them. If you feel like you need a tutor, I would highly recommend that you call Manhattan Prep and request Chris Peckover. Hopefully he is available!

The in-person class was super helpful and something I recommend if you can afford it. If you're deciding between the online class and the in-person class, some of that should honestly be based on how well you can self-regulate. However, the instructor makes a huge difference as well. The instructor I had, Chris Peckover, was fantastic and made it worth the effort to go to class and of course the extra cost. He made the material a lot more accessible by giving alternative methods to approaching problems and had no issue explaining things again or trying it from different approaches. I definitely appreciated that he was really positive and pushed us to work hard as well. You could tell that he cares a lot about teaching and is invested in your success as well. It comes across in the class and is a helpful motivator. Hard to imagine a better GMAT instructor.

His prep course and videos show why the right answers are right and how to know for sure and why the wrong answers are wrong and why for all lsat sections. You can always call him or email him with specific questions. He will get right back to you. You can chose from in class, online or private lsat prep course options. His course is reasonably priced I chose self study online and it was perfect for me a single full time working mommy of one. It provided me with the flexibility to start and come back on my own schedule. There's videos showing explanations for various questions for all four sections. I brought additional books and materials online from Amazon to focus on my weakest sections logic games and logic reasoning. Nathan is extremely helpful and supportive during my longgggg and challenging journey preparing for the lsat. My previous score went up six points the last time I took it in 2015. This time I expect an even bigger score increase especially where the games and logical reasoning sections are concerned. I started noticing patterns in the way the questions were asked on the lsat and learned how identify how to answer the question by focusing on what the question is asking in the logical reasoning section specifically. He also shows the best way to diagram the rules in the logic games and making inferences. That entails not wasting time diagraming unnecessarily and and certain rules you can hold in your head. That depends on the type of logical game your working on. I am more confident in crushing these sections after reading and practicing using the logical reasoning book and Logical reasoning playbook. I enjoyed the logical game playbook the most (never thought I would say that.) by the time I got to the second time practicing the game after reading the explanation I was crushing the games the second and third time around. It became fun especially when I could look at question after diagraming and doing inferences and knowing without a doubt which answer was right and why the others were wrong. I've been struggling with the logical games for quite some time and I can say I've conquered the fears and the doubts I once had. I'm very proud of myself! I took the lsat yesterday and kicked major butt! Practice over and over again. The lsat is a challenge but you will make it too!

I was in Nathan's LSAT class and benefited greatly from it…read more The material on the LSAT is boring as hell and Nathan does a great job of making the class fun with his humor. Nathan is constantly arguing with the speaker and using profanity (which is hilarious, btw) to keep the class alive. Actually, I think he's just being himself which makes the otherwise dry material very entertaining. Nathan scored a 179 on the LSAT so it seems he can do most of these in his sleep if he wanted to. In addition to covering the LSAT section he does a 30 minute Q&A before every class (530pm-6pm) where you can ask him anything related to law school. He is always honest about the pros and cons of pursuing a legal career which I appreciated. He also did a great job of bringing in guest speakers to answer questions you may have. Nathan is always available to his students. You can always email him and he'll get back to you. If you have a question about applying, want to send him your personal statement or got stuck on a question he's your man. I admire how available he makes himself. You can tell he wants to help people succeed on the LSAT and get into the best possible law school they can. One thing I particularly appreciated is he allowed me to pay on a payment plan. This helped ease some of the financial burden of a $500 a month class. His prices are very reasonable and worth every cent but his flexibility was very much appreciated. Nathan also offered proctored tests on the weekends so you get to mimic test conditions. I found those valuable. Unless you're an outstanding test taker my advice would be to take the class for 1-2 months. At that point you start to see the patterns in some of the logic games and get a feel for how to set them up and you may be able to recognize certain types of questions throughout the test. I 100% unequivocally recommend Fox Test prep. I researched a couple of places before choosing Nathan's class and preferred to support a local business and I can guarantee Nathan is funnier and more effective than any of the big test prep services out there. Thanks Fox Test prep!
