Had a great experience with Tesoro! I called them from the Airport two days before I was eloping with my husband in Santa Rosa and had no clue what I wanted. I needed a bouquet, needed it delivered to my hotel and wanted to also keep to a budget. I told them what I didn't like and told that I like Calla Lilies and basically told them they could do whatever they wanted - bright colors or all white. They ended up delivering (not just on time, but early) an absolutely gorgeous bouquet in several shades of white - calla lilies, white roses and gardenias, so pretty that I brought it with me on the plane when it was time to go home (currently hanging up to dry in my kitchen!). My wife gave Paul a loose description of what we were going for but she was having trouble finding specific examples, and he absolutely nailed it! The ceremony arrangements were lovely, my wife's bouquet was beautiful, and the centerpieces were understated and subtle -- totally what we were going for. Tesoro was self sufficient in coordinating with our baker for the flowers to top the cake as well. Paul did the flowers for our wedding at Ramekins Culinary School in Sonoma. I met with two other florists in addition to Paul, and I just felt so comfortable with Paul's relaxed, attentive demeanor. I wanted beautiful flowers without spending a fortune; however, I didn't have really specific ideas besides color and "vibe". Even at our first meeting, without pictures, I felt like Paul knew exactly what I was going for and would be able to execute it. I came back with a few pictures, colors, etc. once we decided to work together, and he was very responsive via email as well. We had originally discussed two traditional arrangements for the ceremony, but then I decided I would love to have hanging vases from the arbor at Ramekins. Paul made this happen without much increase in the budget and created a stunning ceremony backdrop. The coral & pink bouquets, featuring dahlias, roses, and succulents were absolutely amazing! He made succulent boutonnieres for the guys that looked fabulous with their suits, and lovely wrist corsages for the mothers and grandmothers. After searching many florists to do our wedding this past September at Cornerstone Gardens, we chose Paul. The main reason we selected him was because his prices were reasonable and he was located right on property -I was worried it could be hot over Labor Day and the flowers would be fresher. Paul at Tesoro did the flowers for our wedding at Calistoga Ranch. It is hard to articulate just how beautifully they turned out. I had a very specific vision in mind, and his execution exceeded my expectations. We wanted the arrangements to be very loose, natural, and not at all contrived. This is exactly what he delivered -- fresh, elegant arrangements that looked like they had been plucked directly from the garden. The flowers perfectly complemented the environment. Paul even made a special trip out to the property to visit the space where we were having the reception to make sure that the arrangements would feel integrated with the venue. He had innumerable conversations with me (and my mom who, being a florist herself, had some very strong opinions...), and was always kind and willing to listen and offer insightful feedback. Cut flowers sent by an out of town friend were dead within a couple of days despite proper care once they got to my house. . Everything looked like it was left over from the week before...bent/broken stems, half dead roses and lots and lots of filler stems that were not in good shape. They were great to deal with leading up to the wedding but on the day of my wedding they showed up late and the flowers looked like they belonged in another wedding. The flowers were not what I wanted, the colors were totally off. Amy was less than friendly the day of my wedding and when I contacted Paul after the wedding to express my disappointment I never heard back. My wedding photographer had to photoshop all of the flowers in our photos. I had high expectations and was let down. When I picked up the flowers, they were STUNNING!! They even used olive branches, which I had secretly wanted to suggest but was afraid that I was going to be too specific.
