When I calmly asked if we had misheard, she doubled down and said, "I sure did, because he is," and continued to justify speaking that way to a child. Saying "sorry, but he is" is not an apology. She also stated she had already fallen off the ladder once, apparently as justification. If she felt unsafe, that is a management and safety issue. It is not an excuse to verbally attack a child. When my husband later came in to address it, we were told to leave the store instead of being treated with basic respect. No accountability, no real apology. Completely unacceptable behavior.

Grantsville is not and easy on/easy off town. You get off, travel south for a bit, then find the main drag. There are a few gas stations to choose from, and you'll be fine at any of them. On the bright side, you get to see Grantsville; a charming little town a few miles off the beaten path and a glimpse into one of many small town Utah portraits. There are worse things to see. For travelers along I-80 WB. Seriously? You didn't get gas before leaving Salt Lake? And you passed the Tooele exit without gas? Well, you better get it here. Again, if you've got a few minutes, it will be a fun trip into town. For non-travelers. This is as good as place as any to get gas. Not a lot of services here, but you've got the pay at the pump and the easy access, and it's on the west side of town near the turnoff to the Willow Canyons, so spread the love around and get your Sinclair on. Not much in the way of a shop, but it'll fill your tank.

Probably the biggest reason I like Maverik's is for the almost always clean bathrooms. Having a reliable place to go when you're on the go is important to me. On top of that, the hot food section is pretty decent in terms of selection and during certain hours, you can order food from the grill. I really like their selection of granola/protein bars too. If you find yourself frequenting Maverik locations, I definitely recommend becoming a rewards member. It's free! You can stock up points for things you normally buy and work your way to free snacks and sodas. Whenever I'm on the road and need to stop somewhere, Maverik's is almost always my first pick if it's close.

The soda machine has a wide variety and great flavor of slushees. 2 - they are the most well lit gas stations out there. Maverik in West Wendover NV is right near the border with Utah. It is also across the highway from…read morethe Casinos. Maverik convenience stores and gas stations are all over but they really are my favorite places to stop. They are generally clean and offer a lot of drinks, snacks and gas for those on the road especially in low populated areas. This is a more populated area due to the casinos. The African American young man who works here is super friendly so check out with him! People make Maverik successful and he is one that contributes to their good reputation. Womens bathroom was so so clean but the store was clean. Gas prices were high for Nevada. View of the mountains there was primo. Worth a stop
