Tesoro d'Italia is an Italian restaurant with a charming interior that also offers outdoor uncovered seating in front on the street. While it is a Italian restaurant, I don't think it offers pizzas. I ordered a Insalata Mista (6€) to start followed by the Linguini Ai Gamberetti entree for 19€ along with a large glass of Pinot Grigio. First to arrived was a small basket of Italian crackers complimentary by the waiter. They looked like mini donuts but were crispy Andy with a thyme seasoning, They were quite good. Then the salad was delivered with fresh greens, olives and tomatoes in a vinaigrette dressing that made for a delicious salad. Well worth the price. Finally the entree appeared in a large bowl with pan fried prawns, tomato sauce, olive oil, tomatoes and chile pepper mixed with the linguini. After removing the heads, tails and shells (this is France after all), I dug in and enjoyed this meal. It had plenty of rich flavor and was very satisfying to eat. They have good pasta here. Finally the table service was prompt and professional. This is a very good Italian restaurant. I would be happy to return. read more

We really enjoyed it. Our server was quite pleasant and quite helpful. Didn't catch his name. He's from Tunisia originally. We were the first to arrive for dinner on a Saturday night as we ate early - at 6:30 pm. It was still over 90F out so we elected to sit inside but at the edge, so we had a view of the outside. We received water right away and soon placed out drink order. Our waiter brought over the daily specials board and explained each dish - in English :) We ended up ordering as follows: Insalata Italiana - we split this. It was large and real tasty She ordered Veal Saltimbocca - she enjoyed it. I ordered the Rigatoni Alla'Amatriciata - I really enjoyed mine as well. Oh, We each had a glass of wine. We had the Barola from Cossetti. Quite nice. Other than being on the warm side (very hot this week in Paris (mid to high 90s) - we enjoyed our experience tonight. read more

I haven't written a Yelp review in years but my wife and I came here on a visit to Paris and had such a wonderful experience that I was compelled to act. The wait staff was especially friendly and helpful, + the ambiance was great. The pasta was exactly what we were looking for-authentic and uncomplicated pasta. I studied abroad in Italy and it has made me very picky about pasta when I returned to the US, and I am usually disappointed by anything other than what I make at home. The Penne all'Arrabbiata was as good as any I have ever had and really brought me back to Italy. My wife's eggplant pasta was also incredible, she couldn't stop describing how much she loved it. This is a restaurant where it is best not to judge a book by its cover. In other words, the interior is a bit dated, not a "groovy" looking place that many search for in a city like Paris. But - the food is the hero here, and there is a friendly staff. I had the burrata caprese, the carpaccio, and the veal marsala, all were delicious. Around the corner from our hotel and previous reviews were good so... We had carpaccio to start with. Not bad tho not much taste wise. Oil and vinegar helped. Then linguine and shrimp (one off the blackboard aka "special", one off the menu, which really turned out to be the same); in any event quite tasty (spicy) although maybe a couple more shrimp would have been nice. And thence to a Tartuffo (classico) which was as good as always. Restaurant is small and owner/staff seemed a little overwhelmed by the full house, but all in all, a good meal and fair value at 68 Euros including a half bottle house wine and water. I was at this restaurant tucked away on rue Rougemont. I have to say what a delight! The service by our server "Rain" was a breath of fresh air in a city that is not know for customer service, the food was absolutely delicious, and the price for the menu is extremely reasonable for Paris. I enjoyed my ravioli with creamed truffle sauce, and the tiramisu at the end was the cherry on the experience. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in search of good italian food with warm service at fair prices. I have bookmarked this restaurant as a must for italian food in Paris and will be visiting it in the near future to try their lasagne which I heard is a pleasure for the palette. read more

I went here with my husband when we travelled to Paris. The owner was very friendly (who's from Italy), he spoke English and explained to us the daily special. He recommended us to get the appetizer platter, which was awesome (the salami was a bit spicy, might not be good for little kid). Pasta was awesome (large portion), dessert was awesome, I got the panna cotta and yeah that was one of the best panna cotta I've ever tried in my life. We arrived in France during a national holiday so many of the French restaurants were closed. We tried an Italian restaurant because it was a good bet. As we pursued the menu, a French local told us it was very good. We gave it a chance and were not disappointed. The antipastos were all large enough to share and the pastas were huge! I had risotto with veal and mushrooms and it was good. Someone else has the rigatoni and it was excellent. The waiter is the hardest working man in France! We sat outside and it was a nice view outside, but the inside seating seemed too bright and lifeless--very plain. The service was friendly though and would recommend it, but only if you have many chances to sample what Paris has to offer, because for me, sometimes ambiance has just as much of an impact on the experience as the food itself. read more

We went to this restaurant based on the Yelp reviews and the fact that it was close to our hotel. The reviews are accurate! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff was professional, friendly but not intrusive. They made conversation but also allowed us space to enjoy a romantic dinner. The food was excellent. My wife had ravioli that she declared to be perfect. Lots of basil and cooked to perfection. I had steak and linguine with a cream sauce that was awesome. Our meal was accompanied by a bottle of Chilean red that really topped off the whole experience. I strongly recommend if you have the opportunity. read more

If you only speak English (me I was here on vacation) it may be a little hard to communicate because they don't speak it but the waiter was so sweet & still tried to communicate all the specials in a way for me & my boyfriend to understand. I just finished eating here and had to wonder if I was in a different place than the rest of the reviewers. Granted, I'm in Paris and there are many good options. But, I wanted some comfort food after being on the road for a while. The bread was stale, the mozzarella in the caprese hard, and the pasta clearly boxed. Wonderful food. We tried the three filet dishes (plain, with mushrooms and with gorgonzola) and they were all really good, with a side of pasta in matching sauces. Also had an excellent lasagne, and the smells and sights from other diners around us were very promising as well. Pretty much the only thing that took my review from 5 to 4 stars is the owner's little kid, who was running and yelling around the small space of the restaurant. We came here based on the reviews. The restaurant hours are stated incorrectly from noon to 10pm. It actually opens at 11:45 till 3pm then opens again at 6:30pm. We arrived here at 3:15 and of course it was closed. The manager Raed saw the disappointment on our faces and called us back and offered us the Beef Lasagna. It was delicious. The service was warm and inviting. We appreciated them allowing us to eat even though the restaurant was closed. This restaurant is worth 5 stars!! read more
