The folks behind the counter greet you when you walk in the door -- nice touch! Mostly hot subs - I believe they have just a couple of cold sandwiches. I had the Turkey Bacon Ranch and my wife had the Thanksgiving special turkey combo. She was warned that they were out of the gravy due to high nationwide demand, but she went ahead and ordered it anyway. Our food was ready in about 10 minutes. I judge sub shops based on the quality of the bread, and Firehouse has truly excellent bread. Like my wife said: "smells like real bread". I like the big pickle spear that comes with. My sub was great - the ranch dressing had a nice flavor and the bacon really added. The Thanksgiving sub was OK, the flavor is dominated by the sage dressing. They are a little pricey, but the quality is good. We will return when we are in the neighborhood - I'd like to try some of their more Italian flavors.

They made it seem like you needed the app so I got it, and it was a complete mess. I started the charge and verified it on both the charging screen and my vehicle. I walked away to go check out the mall and 20 minutes later saw an email, not an app alert, that EA had a problem charging my card and stopped charging after 30 seconds. How was I to know? I went back to my car and started a new session after manually loading the balance. OK, no problem. Called them to get them to remove the idle fee for parking since they didn't tell me they cut off charging. After a long hold time the guy said "Sorry, we don't refund that." OK, I'll be disputing that with my card. Even worse, as a renter, I deleted my card so it wouldn't auto reload (the only option in the app) and the charger cut off with a balance in my account. So now I have a little under $3 that I can never use. Ridiculous! I've rented a few EV's in my day and have never had such problems with a charging app. Enjoy your chargeback, EA.

The food was delicious. The complimentary bottomless chips and salsa were fresh and generous. If you order the horchata, it comes with free refills too, which is such a nice touch. My husband ordered 2 birria tacos with caldo and loved them. My father in law ordered 2 ground beef enchiladas with red sauce, and my mother in law ordered 2 plain ground beef tacos. They offer free hot breakfast and the selections sound good on paper. They have a waffle maker (Mini and regular size) with two types of batter, scrambled eggs, sausage, various breads, bagels and pastries, juice, milk, fruit and hard boiled eggs to name a few items. The eggs had a weird texture that tasted a bit slimy when eating them with some hard edges too. Weirdest tasting eggs I've had at a breakfast but hey it's free, can't complain too much. I checked out on the app and had no problems after we left. Overall it's a decent stay and I'd come back again if I needed a hotel in this part of Tucson.
