My truck camper was neglected for too long. Too many trips and never any time to address leak. Then the front proprietary bubble windows on my S&S camper were damaged so we had to do something. I knew the front would need a complete removal and repair. The staff at Carl's talked me through the potential costs, but due to the greater cost to replace I went with an extensive repair. Staff kept me apprised throughout the repair, sending me photos of their work. Awesome service. Completed a little over a week, due to waiting on parts. This is during the COVID crisis so I expected some delays. Not only did they repair the front, but they sealed other areas and replaced the lighting. Great Job. This is a small local shop. All the staff are friendly and hard working! They were really invested in the project and proud of their work. The shop also has RV parts and they can order just about anything. While I was there getting my estimate I watched them talk to other customers and they gave the customers room to think about the options. When a customer opted for a bandaid solution, they were not offended and helped the person with the part. They also referred to other businesses when they could not meet the need. Our RV heater stopped working in the middle of our roadtrip, and with temps expected to be well below zero at our next stop, we searched Yelp for local RV repair services and found Carl's. I chose this shop because I wanted a local business and because of their reviews. I was not disappointed. I had a propane leak, diagnosed and regulator replaced. Refrigerator acting wonky on gas. Cleaned up mechanism and especially orifice. Dennis answered some questions about my leaf springs and battery bay. All done in a few hours and at a reasonable price. While waiting, I met a few other customers. All are ecstatic with Carl's. I dealt with Penny, who runs the office, parts, and seemed to be wrangling the techs in her spare time. Way friendly and efficient. Dennis was my tech. Really sharp and personable. Also, when I asked questions/opinions from him, steered my towards common sense solutions rather that selling something. I was traveling through and had a rv problem. I pulled up to their lot and within 5 minutes had someone looking at my problem. They determined I hat I needed a couple of parts so they were ordered. The very next morning after the parts arrived they installed the parts. They are expensive but they offer very good service. read more

I called up Carl's to install a brake line kit on a new motorcoach to hook up to an existing Roadmaster Brakemaster system in my tow car. We spoke on the phone ahead of time, they ordered the right parts, and were very communicative when it came to getting me scheduled and the work done. The work went as expected and they did it at a fair price. I had a problem because the Brakemaster on my car was installed in a non-standard configuration, so the brake indicator light installed in my coach wasn't working. They got me right back in to take another look. Dennis was super helpful and as we talked through how the old system was configured, he was able to quickly determine how best to fix the current installation. The staff was great and easy to work with. I'll come back to Carl's whenever I'm in the Tucson area. You should too! read more

Great, friendly service! Had issues with my motor home that I tried to get fixed at the dealer 4 times for simple water leak, kept it 4-5 days, replaced parts and charged each time but never fixed. Brought it to Carl's RV had it fixed in one day and fixed several other things for half the price. No more dealer repairs for me! read more

Arrived in Tucson area and in the process of setting up the motor home for the night, the hydraulic jacks stuck part way down and the slides wouldn't work. Frustrating, to say the least. Determined that we needed a new part. My husband planned to do the work, but had some questions. They were most accommodating and helpful in both ordering the part and in answering his questions. We were assured that if we needed their help, that they would fit us in. This was very comforting as my clothes drawers were inaccessible because the bed slide wasn't working! A local, family-owned, family-run business - that's also AWESOME!! We needed our slide fixed and explained that we are full-timers. We really needed the work done on a same-day basis. Soonest wasn't important, same-day was. They gave us an appointment several weeks down the road and true to their word, we were in and out in under 3 hours. A bonus was that the service was reasonably priced. Super friendly folks who really care about their customers - they even offered their Christmas cookies while we waited! We are only wintering in Tucson, but if we lived here year-round, there would be no question that Carl's would be our only RV service place. They are the best!!! read more

I took my RV in to have it checked over before I went on a trip. The ladies at the front desk were awesome and I got a basic service. I had talked to the guy about installing a backup camera. He told me he would check it out and that it would take 6 hours. I wanted him to see if he really thought it would take that much time and he finally told me not all the parts came. It cost me an extra week and the parts that he said were missing were two couplers that could have been purchased at Best Buy. I know he didn't want to do it but I didn't appreciate all the excuses rather than just being honest. I took it to Best Buy and they installed it in 2 hours and didn't need the extra parts. The unfortunate part is I still need a mechanic but I don't trust these guys so won't go back there. read more

I find them way, way better than someplace like Camping World because they are real people. Most of what they did was fine. But i had asked them to go over the water system, and paid for that. I got to my first stop and neither the shower nor the sink had any water come out, being totally plugged with scale. Going back after the first day of a 6000 mile trip was not an option. I had to take apart both apart and soak them in vinegar. So they did not do what they said they did. The things they actually did do, they did a good job on. I don't know if they "forget" what was asked for, or what, but while they are nice people they are not totally together in the way I would have expected. read more

This place is among the very best RV service places I have ever been to. I called them when I was on the road, an hour away from Tucson and they were ready to look at my RV by the time I arrived there. They saw that I had an emergency situation, put my job at top priority, and went right to work on it. I was on my way within a couple of hours. We were in the market for an RV. We found one we were interested in, so paid Carl's to do a "pre delivery inspection" ($300.00 dollars for this inspection). They claimed to do a thorough inspection to insure all things were working. The seller of the RV said he'd fix whatever was wrong, prior to us purchasing his RV. Carl's mechanic did this inspection and told us everything was fine. We bought the RV, and when we did an initial shakedown trip, found many things wrong. Two were very troublesome. No hot water in the RV shower, and one slide-out cover didn't have any tension; blew in the breeze. I called Carl's after our initial trip and told them about our problems. They said to bring the RV for them to inspect. We did, and sure enough, they confirmed the issues we found. They didn't offer to fix anything; just said yep, the problems are there. No offer to fix the things we found wrong, the things the RV seller said he'd pay for. No offer to refund the faulty inspection cost. Just "yep" we missed the problems. The mechanic said we should fix the slide-out cover; not good to drive the RV like that. So we paid them another $300.00 to fix that problem. Just two weeks ago, the slide-out cover quit working again. This was just 4 months after they did the supposed repair. And just one month after their 90 day warranty. In summary, I'd run, not walk away from Carl's. They act nice, but take your money and don't do what they're supposed to do. Go somewhere else!! read more
