Joel and team were fantastic. From the initial email contact, answering my many questions (I'd never used a mobile RV repair service before) to scheduling the appointment, everything was smooth and clearly communicated. We received a VERY clear estimate, detailing out the cost of the parts and also the labor hours. So much clearer than many estimates that just give you a lump sum. We had a lot of work performed, with the largest job being the resealing of the roof. We have a Truck Camper so even though it's smaller than a 5th wheel, it still has all the accessories on top that require seals to be removed, roof cleaned and then resealed. We also replaced the skylight over the bathroom and opted to remove the TV antenna and replace that leak prone part with a metal plate. Joel was also able to replace the power cord that attaches to the truck, and he diagnosed that the reverse lights weren't coming on only because of a fuse and fixed that! (I'd assumed it was part of the known wiring issue) He also performed an annual maintenance on all the appliances, including a gas pressure test which found two small gas leaks - one was only a loose nut, the other was with the propane regulator which he had parts on hand and fixed. Voila! Feels like we have a brand-new Truck Camper! read more

Joel the owner promptly met me at the place where my trailer was in storage after we had an initial inspection at my house and discussed what I needed fixed. He went over a couple things that he thought I needed done besides the leaky valve on my toilet in which was the reason I called him. Happy Camper is the best in Tucson. I ordered a new awning and due to my health, I couldn't put it on by myself. I called and made an appointment and they were on time, quick, and did a great job and also cleaned up afterwards. I had to have it adjusted two months later and the guy did the adjustment in minutes and didn't charge - even for coming out a second time. Called this company because of their reviews. That was a wise choice. They agreed that my testing on my Dometic refrigerator indicated that all was good except for the cooling unit. They confirmed my choice of supplier, JC Refrigeration in Indiana, was by far the best source for the unit. I ordered the cooling unit on Thursday evening, on-line, and it was shipped on Friday. 5 days for delivery. Great service. Their service people arrived on time, within 36 hours of the unit arriving, and did a professional, clean and quick installation. Only took 2 guys 3 1/2 hours. They even repaired the non-working ice maker and installed a new coil fan and a duel interior fan. They really know their business. Their communications were timely, professional and very reassuring. I would not hesitate at all having them perform ANY repair on my American Eagle motor home. They even charged a fair price for the work. My only problem so far is getting use to keeping the thermostat set warmer on the frig because it's working so well. Started at -10 degrees in the freezer & 29 degrees in the frig. Joel really knows his work. First he diagnosed our fridge problem.He immediately solved the issue of our inoperable slide-out. He suggested an upgrade in the circuit breaker which solved the slide-out and front support leg problem. We have three RV units in different parts of the west, so I have dealt with a number of techs. As full-time RVers we've learned how to fix most of the "little stuff" but on the coldest night this month when all of our power went off, it was all hands on deck and we couldn't find the problem! My husband found Joel's business card in the office of our park and they recommended him highly. Our park is 50ish miles from his location, so he took lots of time to trouble shoot with us over the phone and when we still couldn't identify the problem, Joel said he'd stop in when we was down here in the morning (today). Imagine our total embarrassment when he quickly identified the problem.... Our power cord had come out of our EMS because of the angle to the ground and was only partially plugged in!! Was at de anza rv resort in amado, az for a rally when ceiling light lense fell off onto slide out top. I could not find. Tech squeezed me in at end of day, recovered lense lodged in slide out top seal. Called owner and said took less than 5 min- said no charge. Very grateful and woukd use in future. The heater in my Roadtrek Class B was not working, and I was camping in Catalina State park where temps were supposed to drop below 30. My diesel heater is not common, but Marvin was able to remove it, figure out how to fix it, and then put it back together. He did a great job, especially since he had not seen this system before. We were stranded at the trap club rv park in Tucson when our truck wouldn't start. We tried everything. It so happened that Happy Camper RV Repair was in the park. He immediately came over and diagnosed the problem of dead batteries. They were so dead jumping it wouldn't work. He had to jump the starter. He recommended Battery Systems for new batteries which turned out to be a great choice. After all the time and effort Joel wouldn't even take payment. What a nice person. I am a full-time RVer, and I was staying in Arizona between Tucson and Casa Grande, for the winter. When I got here, I looked for someone to troubleshoot problems I had with my refrigerator and my furnace in my Heartland Bighorn fifth wheel trailer. I took a shot on Happy Camper RV Services, and I'm glad I did. The owner, Joel Davis is a very knowledgable guy and he worked steadily and enthusiastically the whole time he was here. He had a tried and true methodical approach to his troubleshooting techniques. We found out that the refrigerator was pretty well shot, and that the furnace just needed a fan control circuit board. He allowed me to look for a good price on the circuit board on line, instead of marking up the part for his profit. I liked that, and I got a great deal on the circuit board. He came back later on to install the new board, the furnace worked perfectly from then on. He also has a 10% Military discount. I would highly recommend Joel and Happy Camper Services.
