The entrance is right before the light of the freeway entrance (San Pablo Ave & John Muir Fwy) and right after the Safeway parking lot entrance. To enter sucks, you still have to wait in the freeway/Safeway traffic before you can access the entrance. To exit, I will either have to take the freeway or cross over lanes to U turn. Morning and late afternoon traffic is brutal over here so... Just saw a car pull up from the Safeway direction, so it is possible to enter/exit through the Safeway parking lot. Still not pretty but definitely easier than the street. Everything about this place is the same as any other Electrify charging station... charging speeds, rates, etc. I hope these chargers will be well maintained without out of order stations as often as other locations. Just happy it's finally open with WAY MORE charging stations than that at Lucky. Not sure how long the no wait will last especially since there is no place to park while you wait for the next available charger. That may change once construction is done over here. We will see...

It's a very nice outdoor shopping mall in Walnut Creek, with around 80 shops. We arrived at opening hours for stores so it was pretty quiet when we visited. Getting a haircut seemed like a fun a productive way to spend my free time. I know nothing about the area, but I stumbled upon Sole's yelp page and it said that they were offering $20 off to book with Chelsea. I called and without asking, was told the Chelsea was one of the two stylists available during the date and time I requested. Perfect! Guy, who answered the phone was friendly and accommodating and asked a lot of questions about what I wanted to ensure I would have a good experience. It made me feel like they were very professional, and he really talked Chelsea up, saying she was super experienced, but just new to this particular salon, hence the yelp promo. He also gave clear parking instructions on the phone, which I appreciated. The atmosphere was really clean and welcoming, they immediately offered me water or tea. Chelsea was great. I wasn't particular about what exactly I wanted, but she listened and made suggestions and I totally trust her judgement. She was really calculated and took her time with me. I am sure I was her last appointment of the day, but I didn't feel rushed at all. She genuinely wanted to do a great job and I looked and felt great at the end of it. Like I said, I don't live in the area and I only get my hair cut once every two years, but I would still highly recommend this place and Chelsea. So if you do live in the area and need a haircut, give her a try.

Overall, the job was completed successfully, passed inspection, and avoided a costly panel upgrade. But there were also a few areas where the process could have been handled more proactively. What I appreciated: * Technical expertise & cost savings: My service panel is limited (90A), and other contractors immediately suggested an expensive underground service upgrade. Kirill performed load calculation and recommended using an Emporia Pro charger with dynamic load management. That solution allowed me to safely add both the EV charging outlet and the microwave circuit without upgrading the service panel. * Permits & documentation: They provided the required licensing, insurance documentation and handled the city permitting and inspection process. The final inspection passed without issue. * Responsiveness: Communication was generally clear via email regarding quotes, scheduling, and permit updates. Where I believe the process could improve: We encountered a major obstacle when it was discovered that the crawl space was blocked by a concrete foundation wall, preventing wire routing as originally planned. Initially, there wasn't a clear alternative proposed. I ended up suggesting routing the wiring through the ceiling instead. While the team evaluated and successfully implemented that solution, I would have preferred if alternative routing strategies had been proactively identified earlier in the process. I also want to acknowledge Erin's craftsmanship. When we ultimately routed the wiring through the ceiling, he carefully navigated around existing plumbing lines and made precise cuts to minimize disruption. The finish work was clean and well executed. In the end, the installation works well, passed inspection, and achieved the primary goal of adding EV charging without a major panel upgrade. I would recommend them for homeowners with limited electrical capacity, especially if dynamic load management is needed.
