The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the location in relation to Target. This charging station is at the back of Target, and semi isolated from the rest of the plaza. This is no problem in the day time, but could be semi sketchy at night. Then again, I wouldn't charge my car late night in any part of the Bay Area these days, smh.

Called them up and was put on hold. No big deal right? probably just busy. After waiting 10 minutes, I decided to be patient and see how long it would take them to help me. 20 MINUTES ON HOLD!! I then asked my girlfriend to call them to see if they forgot me. Surely enough she got quoted on the spot, NO HOLD! I walked in and got the battery for 100 bucks explained to them the hold issue and they gave me a discount. Thank God I wasn't in a hurry that day. Overall: BAD customer service via phone, OK customer service on the spot and OK selection of auto parts. 3 stars seems fair.

This cheap battery had a bad cell in it that went bad after four months in return it kept burning up alternators to try to put back the power that it wasn't capable of holding ! Even O'Reilly's computer stated that it was an alternator problem . (View pic) If your battery has a bad cell in it, it will say it's the alternator, but you can't get a proper reading of the whole electrical system if the battery is bad ... hope this helps just one somebody thank God. My mechanic is a man of integrity and changed out the alternator four times since November 2025.

I think it's awfully nice for Target to provide this for their customers. So you can shop for two hours while your car is being charge all for free. If you decide to hangout and shop longer, it's only $1.50 every hour thereafter. Still a bargain!! And based on your model of vehicle, you can easily add about 25 miles of range per hour. If there were a non handicap person parked in handicapped spot, I'd push for the same request. They had a vehicle in the showroom, however it was locked. When we asked if we could check out the inside, he told us that that one was not available for purchase and they just needed one to sit inside the showroom. My opinion that's not very smart to have a product that you can't show. When we asked if they had any that they could show us, he said the best he could do is we'd have to schedule a test drive. I'm already in town, I don't live in Berkeley, so makes no sense for me to have to go home and drive back on a different day. Horrible customer service, and I will not be even considering this product. If you are in the market for a vinbas, I highly recommend you choose another dealer than the Berkeley one.
