My new favorite charging station for selfish reasons! There's an Equinox thar uses this parking lot. I like running into cute boys while running down to get coffee, lol. I'm a big shame, I'm aware. Okay creeper vibes aside, I found these chargers to be extremely fast. I've only had my car a few months so I'm no expert in the fastest stations but this usually takes me about 45 minutes for a fill here. I mentioned getting coffee above. There is so much within walking distance of this supercharging station which makes it very convenient. Grab a drink or some coffee and come back to a charged car. Or sit in your car writing Yelp reviews like I am right now. WIthout validation, the lot will be $1.50 for under 30 minutes or $3 for 60 minutes - so get that validation somewhere! This is a huge parking garage with a row of back to back chargers on the top rooftop floor. read more

C'mon people. It's time to step out of your Tesla and experience the world. Even if it's to go to the restroom. This is a great place to charge your vehicle except for one major thing: It once had fast, Level 3 charging (250kwh) but within the last 3 months or so all charging has been dropped to Level 2 (70kwh max). Apparently there's a desire to get you to linger at the mall -- although it puzzles me why Tesla doesn't provide both Level 2 AND Level 3 charging at the same location. Especially if you want to create options for lingering at a charging location. This Parking Facility has 3 entrances on Marengo Ave., Green St., and Arroyo Pkwy. Parking is free so long as you validate. This can be done by simply crossing the pedestrian bridge, walking into the Paseo and going down the escalator. Along the way you'll see some amazing public art in the form of a tiled fountain. Once you're at street level, restrooms are to your right with signage saying "Restrooms" over a beautiful arched stone entrance. Pretty elegant. There are shops, coffee, restaurants and even an antique mall! All validate even if you don't purchase (it's a Pasadena thing). And once you step off the escalator you're in the midst of some of the most beautiful civic planning in So. Cal. Look north and the Main Branch Pasadena Public Library is in axial view. To the south is the gorgeous Pasadena Civic Auditorium. All of which takes approximately 5 minutes to access (including the bathrooms) from your Tesla. read more

I do not recommend charging here. There's one about 5 mins away that is way better. You have to pay for parking. Usually places would give you the first 30 mins free but not here. It says $1.50 for the first 30 mins and I was charged $3 for some reason. Also, I couldn't charge fully. Super slower than normal charges. In 30 mins i only receive 40%. read more

My DH and I attended a wedding in Altadena over the weekend and we stayed in Pasadena. Our hotel did not offer EV charging but pointed us in the direction of nearby chargers. We were at 46% battery so I needed to charge to get back to OC with other scheduled stops along the way. I opted for the Tesla Supercharger in the parking structure off of Green. Note, Green is one way so we basically circled the block and then entered the structure. The chargers are located on the roof adjacent to the Equinox gym. It is $1.50 for the first hour without validation but if you decide to go to a nearby business, you can validate. The chargers are 72 kWh and remember to preheat your battery for optimal charging. We only spent about 30ish minutes charging. It took me time to walk downstairs to find a pay station and by the time I was back I was at 78%. My charge cost about $7 which is a lot less than what it would cost filling up at a gas station in LA these days. read more

This is claimed to be the biggest EV charging location in the nation: Tesla & the City of Pasadena charging stations combined. It's on the roof top & gets filled up quite easily. You can walk across the bridge walkway to access restaurants & shops. If you validate at a restaurant, then it's free parking. It's difficult to find a pay station on either levels, but you'll find one next to the "no cashier" exit. read more

Before you go and depending on when you go, you need to know that you'll need to validate your ticket by buying something from a store anywhere in the building. However, once, I came late to charge and I realized that you didn't need to validate. I don't know what time you won't need to validate though. There are restaurants and a Starbucks where you can validate. Compared to other superchargers, there are lots of chargers over here. So you most likely won't need to wait in your car for an available charger. As with most superchargers, they will charge you for staying there after your charge is done. I believe the rate is $1/min after 5 minutes. All in all, I like this charger because it's available most of the time, close to me, and located in Pasadena where shopping/errands can be done during the charging period. However, the location of the supercharger on the top of a parking structure where it can get really hot, need to validate every single time to come and the understandable, but anxiety generating requirement of needing to leave at the point of charging are reasons why this isn't the perfect supercharging station for me. read more

Brand new supercharger station in Pasadena. It has 20 stalls and even a few regular ev stations. It is on the corner on Glenarm St. and Arroyo Parkway. It's a great location and I'm glad they opened another one in Pasadena. The entrance is on Glenarm St. It is a one way. Highly recommend. read more

As we spent the time and the rest of the day in old town Pasadena we needed to charge our car. That being said we charged it at this location, which is located on the roof of the parking structure. This is the first time we've ever used a supercharger, so it was interesting to try it out. All you had to do was plug it in and it automatically charges your Tesla account. One thing to note is that you want to make sure that you charge and get back to your car before it finished charging because it will charge you an idle fee, and I heard it can get pricey depending on how busy the station is. Our experience the station was busy and had cars the the which would dollar per minute to I overall was all right, however it was a really hot day so the car was overheating a little bit and had to cool down after a while. read more

Finally a supercharger in the area. They need another one deeper in the SGV honestly. This one just showed up on my map and decided to check it out. It's on the top floor of the Marengo Parking Garage, at the edge of Old Town Pasadena. The Tesla in app status screen is sorta broken for available stalls. You can see my pic, but it seems to be showing how many stalls are available as the total number of stalls. There seems to be about 24 stalls total. But you can see from my map that it shows 12 out of 12 available. There are 12 available it looks like. Before I left the house it was showing 22 of 22 available. I assume this will be fixed soon. The parking garage requires you to get a ticket to enter, but since today is Thanksgiving the exit path is just left open. This parking lot still confuses me, but maybe it's because I've only came here at night. But the best option is go South on Marengo passing Colorado and the entrance will be on your right (just under the pedestrian bridge). No problem so far with finding an open charging station, but not sure about later as everyone find out about this lot! On the top floor, you can walk across the pedestrian bridge to Paseo mall. Restrooms are by H&M and you can get 90 min validation at Starbucks with purchase. You can also get a validation from "window shopping" at DSW Shoes or at the Antique Store as well. This is the closest Tesla Supercharge to where I live, hoping there's one more East deeper into SGV in the near future! read more

OH MY GOODNESS!!! Many thanks to the Tesla hierarchy for the new supercharger location near Old Town Pasadena. Just recently we were discussing why there was not a Supercharger in the Pasadena area. The closest to this point was in Glendale. Now there are 23 high output chargers on the roof of the parking structure on the southeast corner of East Colorado and South Arroyo Parkway. 90 minutes of free parking in the structure adjacent to the Paseo Colorado with validation from one of the businesses there offering an array of options for spending the charging time shopping or enjoying the fare at one of a number of restaurants. read more

Not my favorite super charger in Los Angeles! The super chargers are located on the top floor of the parking lot. And yes! You have to pay for parking, first 20 mins free and the next 30 mins at $3.00. The parking lot is located way off from the freeway. So, if you are stopping for a quick charge on your way out of the city, budget an extra 30 mins on top of charging time. I wish there was a better super charger location in this side of town. If you are already coming to the mall for shopping or dining, you can get your parking ticket validated. Since that was not the case for us, we did feel blindsided by the parking charges. We were there on a Saturday evening, most of the stalls were empty and working. A few teslas here and there, but for the most, it was empty due to holiday season. read more

Cost of parking is $1.50 for the first 30 minutes, unless you validate. Every subsequent 30 minutes is $1.50 added (max $9). Validation makes it free for 90 minutes. There is NO grace period. So, make sure you're coming here with intent to pay or shop for validation. I would just come here to charge for 25 minutes (decent enough of a charge) and pay the $1.50. If I need a drink, then I'll walk and order something at the Starbucks here at Paseo and get it validated and fully charge the car. read more

This station deserves some start for being the only supercharger in the area and having LOTS of chargers = no wait time. BUT loses some stars for the following: -It's on the rooftop of a structure where it does get hot on 100 degree days -You have to pay for parking in the structure on the way out (they have a 20 min grace period but charging will likely take longer) This is the only station I've been to where you have to pay to enter so I thought that was a little weird. read more

4.5 stars Pros: 1. This one is much closer than any other Tesla supercharger. 2. This one is larger and I've never had to wait for a spot. 3. Pretty much the entire structure is empty except for Tesla owners and Equinox members, so it's fast to get up to the roof and usually not more than 1 other car in line to get out. Cons: 1. No free parking unlike almost every other place. Would be better if there was a 60 or 90 min. grace period like Old Town Pasadena or the Americana. 2. Not covered on the roof, for the few rainy days we have. 3. I always see people parking in the handicapped charger stall when they do not have a handicapped placard. read more

Plenty of supercharging stations here (I think ~20) so you should never have to wait. The only issue I have with this charging station is having to get your parking validated or pay. Although it's not too expensive, it is still annoying. read more

I'm glad they finally opened a supercharger near me in the 626! There are 24 superchargers on the roof of the parking structure (the signs telling you where to go were very small, hopefully they install larger signs soon). I find it strange that there is a fee for parking, but you can get 90 minutes free with validation (luckily there is a starbucks at paseo colorado so you can get validation for a cup of coffee). I would give more stars if the parking situation was similar to other superchargers such as the Americana at Brand where at least the first 60 minutes are free. read more

I do not recommend this supercharger. There are so many other lots Tesla could have chosen to install chargers at, and it's strange why they chose this structure. First, it's in a paid parking structure and the lot does not offer a grace period, so you are paying for the entire time you are there. Second, the Tesla chargers are all the way up on the top level without shade. The entire structure had several levels of many parking spaces, so I'm curious why Tesla opt to rent spaces all the way up there. And third, there were several chargers that were broken and we had to wait for a charger with several cars ahead of us, and a few cars behind us. Most of the cars were unoccupied so we had to wait a bit. There aren't any Tesla chargers nearby this area, so plan accordingly if you have a long drive. read more

Avoid this charging site if you have a choice. Lots of chargers but they're slow and surprisingly expensive. For the first time user there are no signs directing you which of the many entrances to the parking structure to use. Only after getting in and getting your parking ticket are directions to the roof. Lots of heavy city center traffic to get there. Not that close to any freeway. read more

The chargers here work well, but the parking lot has a fee. I have been coming here using their 20 min of grace period, but all of a sudden found today that it was only 10 min without warning. My opinion is that these superchargers should not be in paid parking structures, but unfortunately that's how a lot are around LA. read more

When you arrive there are no signs to tell you that the chargers are in the parking structure. I had to pull over and check Yelp to see where they were at and people said they were at the top so that's how I found it. There were signs once I got in but how was I suppose to know that being outside. You also have to pay before you leave the parking structure. I got my ticket validated at the local gym across the bridge but I had to buy something go get it validated. It's nice, quiet, not a lot of people, clean. I just wish I didn't have to pay because I was only really there for 20 min read more

24 chargers and all are working with a charge up to 72!! Stalls at Glendale are usually broken or not all of them charge at advertised 72 same with all older locations. Would give 5 stars but place requires validation or $$$ to charge here's They should post it on the map so people know it's paid parking. Glendale is free for 60mins and other places mark on map if there's fee for parking, but this place doesn't. read more
