I wanted an SUV because it's easier to deal with the winter weather and also needed the trunk space for both shopping trips and whenever I needed to put in my families bags for vacations. I came to Tom Ahl because a couple of friends recommended that I go here. The car shopping experience was unexceptional. I just didn't feel like the salesman was that interested in selling me a vehicle or making a deal. I wanted a new car and was shown a several year old buick. The price was rather high for that. I just wasn't feeling it and went to another dealership nearby and bought a new suv. I got to say I was a bit disappointed.

When I first contacted Joe…read morePatterson at Auglaize Auto Body in Wapakoneta I was very excited about getting our 1979 VW Super Beetle to him. He gave us a reasonable price to fix up our car. When we dropped off the car on April 8, 2018 his estimate to complete was 21 days. We paid $2752.50 which is 1/2 the cost for the deposit. I would call every so often to see how it was going on my car. Sometimes he would respond, but most times not. After some time went by I realized he was lying to me. I put in pictures to show the quality of work he does or does not do. I finally get the car back from him and I can not open the trunk and missing multiple parts. I also have a huge dent in the passenger door that was not there when I dropped it off to the shop. I would not take anything to this shop to be worked on. Did I mention Joe had this vehicle for almost two years. I got it back March 30, 2020. You would think working on someone's car for that long the quality of work would be impeccable. You can see for yourself that it is horrible.

I will only bring my vehicles back to these guys to get work done. Outstanding!!

Upsetting! So I decided to look around to see how I can get it replaced. Moreover, like with all moves, you eventually find unforeseen problems with the house. My mother's bedroom had a triple pane glass for her window that had mold growing within the glass panes... large noticeable mold growth. Mold is dangerous so I also had to look at how to replace that. I tried with a different glass company in Fort Wayne but they weren't all that interested. I called Van Wert Glass and within days they came to my house. They inspected the window and said that the window hadn't been properly sealed and caused that growth. The window pane needed to be replaced. They took the measurements to create a new one. They also took the measurements of the shattered glass shelf as well. We also considered having the sliding glass doors to the two showers in our house replaced as well. I wanted to change the doors to ones that close by pulling/pushing not sliding as that is my preference. They took measurements and contacted manufactures and did research but determined that it would need me to redo the shower in its entirety which is not something I have the budget for at this time. After a few weeks they had the items ready and came to install them. I have to say it was a pleasure working with the people from Van Wert glass. They are friendly, hand working and honest. If I need glass work done again, I will definitely use them!

This review is for the auto detailing at Tom Ahl…read more I thought a relative's 2006 Ford truck was a hopeless case as it had been sitting for months in her driveway. The inside smelled moldy and the red paint was very chalky. The seats were filthy because she had piled the seats full of junk that needed to be taken to the dump. I took it to Tom Ahl's for detailing after reading reviews. I wasn't really expecting that they would be able to do much for it since it was in such bad shape, inside and out. When I picked the truck up I was totally amazed. I only wish that I had taken "before" so everyone could see what an incredible job they did with this truck that I had nearly written off as hopeless.

This afternoon I went in to test drive some trucks my salesman was busy with two other customers. Ironically, no other salespeople were with other customers. Upon returning from a test drive, I sat and waited for my salesman to become available. Not once did any of the other salespeople come and ask if they could help me. They could have easily helped in showing me other vehicles. After waiting for 25 minutes, someone brought out 3 or 4 pies. The salespeople and others from the offices came dashing to the location of the pies. At that point I left. My salesman called later to apologize. Maybe there is a reason the other salespeople had no customers and mine had 3. Absolutely inexcusable!
