Slow supercharger and Carls Jr is supposed to be open at 6am -- lights are on at 6:15 but doors are locked. The max charge rate here is 120kW. The super charger down the street by the Route 66 museum has a 250kW max charge rate. Recommend you go there. read more

I was here twice in September, once in the morning and another in the afternoon. There was a transient during one of my visits, but he never bothered anyone. The location was very convenient with 6 stalls and 2 temporary stalls. The second time that I was here, I tried out one of the temporary stalls as I wasn't in a hurry to go anywhere. I was actually getting a pretty decent charging speed. If you're hungry and don't feel like going anywhere, you can eat at Carl's Jr as it shares the parking lot with the charging station. You can even keep an eye on your car while you eat your meal. read more

OMG! Talk about fake news. Coming into this supercharger in Kingman we thought we would at the very best be kidnapped and at the very worst be murdered. Wrong! We pulled in to find six chargers and two temporary chargers. None were being used. Was the charging rate slow? Absolutely not. We were charging at 375 mph. Didn't see a homeless person in sight. Then we walked across the street to one of the better Chevron gas stations and convenience stores I've ever seen. They had three sit down toilets in the men's bathroom! The convenient store was large absolutely perfectly clean and the staff was more than friendly. Can I give six stars to this place? read more

This is horrible. These are SLOW!! Jam packed with people on a weekend which makes it SLOWER. DIRTY BATHROOMS!! I'm not taking my Tesla to Vegas again (from Phoenix). Looks like there's a faster one down the road but my range estimate was 100 miles OFF. Advice - charge to fill in Wikenburg if you so this. Probably the worst supercharger in the Southwest US. Only 6 spots in a highly congested area between Phoenix and Las Vegas. When full, getting 30-40kW speeds, meaning an 80% charge can take more than an hour once you make it through an awkward queue of cars. As others have mentioned, sketchy area too. Plan to be stuck at this one a while if you have to use it. read more

Based on the prior reviews, we were not looking forward to stopping at the Tesla SuperChargers in Kingman, AZ. We arrived at noon on a hot Thursday in August. We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. No vehicle congestion. No homeless. 4 available SuperChargers upon our arrival. Our initial charging rate was 102 kw despite the fact that there were two other Teslas also charging. Be aware, the default limit at this station is 80%, so you have to manually change the range mode in your Tesla to 100% if you need more range. (We had set our range mode to 100% prior to our arrival. Upon our arrival, our range mode was automatically adjusted downward to 80%, so we manually increased it as we were charging.) read more

After almost 600 miles of driving, the fifth stop of the day is the only negative charging experience on this trip. The charger in Kingman Arizona has a bank of six with only five working (2B is not functional). Of the five that were working you will only reach 29 kW. While this provided a grand opportunity for all of us Tesla owners to mill about the sketchy parking lot and get to know each other, it resulted in there being four cars queued up in line waiting for the small bank of slow chargers. Couple that with the fact that this charge station is in a very sketchy part of town - complete with 24 hour bail bondsman and numerous homeless people - and you might consider charging elsewhere if you have the option. read more

Very marginal charging speeds. Common Tesla - this is ridiculous. Pair this with the very sketchy characters who lurk in the Carl's Jr. parking lot and it makes for a dismal Supercharger experience. Only giving 3 stars because of the supercharger being rather quick. Kiddos needed to go to the restroom so we went in. The Carl's is a hot bed of druggies and lurkers. We were there in broad daylight can't imagine in evening. Service was fine at the Carl's but only there bec of the supercharger. read more

One of my least favorite superchargers. The speeds are on the slower side in my experience. It's also in a very poor location, by a jail and bail bonds office. Finally, because of its location, it is not unusual to have to wait for an open charger. In a pinch, this location will do. But if I had a choice, I would go elsewhere. read more

The charger we initially accessed was not functioning properly, so when we came out of the crappy Carl's Junior thinking we were ready to hit the road, we were stuck plugging into another station and sitting for another 20 mins. Initial charger gave us 45 miles of charge in 30 mins! Was lovely watching the sketchy people in and out of the bail bonds place. C'mon was this really the best place to put this supercharger?
