I called asking them to purchase a replacement blower motor for my AC. They stressed that it was…read morevery important to know exactly what motor it was. I got them the exact part number and was told a price for the replacement and that it would be in in a couple of days. I got the call that it was in and barely made it in by the skin of my teeth before they closed for the night/weekend. I took it home for my husband to install after he git off work. It wasn't the same motor. It was a universal aftermarket that didn't have the same connector as the old one. We had already mounted it in the blower box before we realized the connector was different. We contacted our regular AC guys to find out about splicing it in. They looked at it and said the only motor that could work in it is the exact one that came with it so they needed to order that one. So I would have to wait again for the part to get ordered and shipped. The company they order from was apparently the same one and they remembered the call about our motor needs and said that the right motor was refused by the first AC guys and they were told the aftermarket one would be fine. I was never made aware of the options. I believed that the one ordered was the only one available and was the same as the one coming out. So I definitely did not refuse the correct one in place of the aftermarket. I wasn't given a choice. Now I have a $600 paperweight that the AC company refuses the refund me for even though they are the ones who ordered the wrong one without giving me the option to order the right one. I'm assuming they didn't think I would order the right one because it's so expensive, but not giving me a choice and then blaming me because they don't give refunds on motors is rather shady in my opinion. It feels like they were punishing me for trying to swap it out myself instead of paying them more put it in. I am a disabled/retired AEAN from the USN. I know how to plug and play an electrical component. If they had ordered the part we gave them the number for, we would have had our AC up and running several days ago. Instead, my family and I, including a 7mo baby, have been without AC in the AZ 100°+ weather for over a week. I'm very disappointed and dissolutioned with this AC company. Just be wary and make sure they don't jip you out of your money because they don't think you need to know what your options are.
