2 chargers down and crepe shop closed at1 pm. Try hot dog stand due east of charger. Hrs 11 to 5 Monday to Saturday.

September 14 2021.

Easy to find. Pull in charger style. Nice old Florida town. Short walk to coffee shop and restroom. Limited hours. I would recommend bathroom and food stop on 331 on the way to the charger.

Ok so I don't own a Tesla (I do have two Prius- what is the plural of Prius?) Anyways- We use to live near Destin and one day my friend and I met for lunch in DeFuniak Springs. There is a neat little lake/pond in the middle of the historic area and an old hotel turned into a restaurant, worth exploring both. After lunch my friend wanted me to have a good laugh and took me to see the Tesla charging station here. I've only ever seen the charging stations in affluent areas in bigger towns. The one in DeFuniak is funny! It's off the beaten track down some side roads in the middle of nowhere. There is a big old red barn in the background. I figure if ever there was a picture of irony it's here. If your needing to charge up don't be scared, DeFuniak is not a scary town. It's full of good hard working country folk. The scariest thing might be someone offering you a cold glass of sweet tea!

Perla Bakery

Place is remote right in the town of Defuniak Springs, a couple miles off the interstate. Hubby went there at night and did not like it-dark, hardly any lights, and if you're not from the area, a little scary. Went there again during the day, Sunday morning and it was much better. Town feels safe, walked down Main Street, not much to see but a great bakery, Perla Bakery had great baked goods and coffee. Felt very upscale for the area! They open at 9am on Sundays. Everything else in the area was closed on Sundays. Wouldn't mind coming back during the week when other stores are open-saw a clothing boutique and an antique store that would be interesting to check out.

This place is so historic.
