The job was quoted for 3 hours and when they finished it was just over 2 hours of time spent doing it and they only charged me for what it actually took not what the computer said it would take! Great business and professional staff. Now I was nervous at first reading some of the reviews but after finding out the company is under new ownership I felt a lot better about it. Definitely will be taking future work back to these guys and recommending this OUTSTANDING company to friends!

I declined and after some research found that this could be done for approximately $10. My vehicle continued to run poorly for months but I had lost trust in Auto Xtreme so I did not return. Finally another auto repair shop found the problem - Auto Extreme had fraudently attached a small piece of heater hose in place of the agreed upon pcv hose assembly. The heater hose had failed and caused a large vacuum leak destroying my fuel pump in the process. The fuel pump repair then cost $650. Auto Xtreme is a xtreme SCAM.

He said his daughter in laws car was being repaired right around the corner from the hotel...let's go talk to the guy...and man am I glad I did. Long story short....Ken fixed my truck in record time, but is not open on Saturdays. Having been on the road for 6 days at the time....I really did not want to spend the weekend in Fort Walton Beach (not that it's not a nice town) but I wanted to go home. When Ken called me Friday night and said my truck was finished, I asked him if there was anyway he could meet me Saturday so I could get home Saturday night (Fort Walton is about 6 hours from home for me) He said "I have family in town for my grandaughters graduation...but I would be happy to"...and by the way, he lives 20 minutes from his shop! Barely two miles after leaving Baker Automotive, a car which my father-in-law purchased new 29 years ago was destroyed. Fortunately, I changed my errand routing that afternoon or I would have been driving the vehicle when it caught on fire. As it turned out, I exited the car less than one minute before it ignited. My thoughts about Baker Automotive: * There were multiple people filming my car as it burned - all were surprised that such a well maintained car would have such a horrible fire * A crowd gathered while the fire department and Sheriff deputies did their jobs - many expressed condolences * Through it all, I never said a negative word about Baker Automotive or pointed a finger of blame - even though it would have been very easy to do so * My deposition with my insurance company actually included a note at the end expressing satisfaction with Baker Automotive's performance over the years. * After the fire, one of Baker Automotive's employees requested access to the car - via the auto storage facility - which I granted * My family was a loyal customer of Baker Automotive for over five years. As such, we were surprised to not receive a single call from Baker Automotive after this event - not even as an expression of sympathy or concern * When Ken Baker sold Baker Automotive, I wondered if it would change the business. It's 7 dollars a foot to keep your boat outside or inside it's 8 dollars a foot. Also ethanol free gas is the cheapest gas for your boat you will find anywhere. It's $4.20 a gallon! Off base it's like $4.80, even with a Sea Tow membership which saves you 5 cents a gallon at most places it's still cheaper then those places. Great place to keep your boat :)
