For everyone making the drive from LA to Vegas this is probably the most optimal Super charger location to stop at if you're looking for a one stop charge with a long range. It's located next door to Shell Gas station in a very desolate area. There are 40 v2 super chargers available in 2 rows. If you're looking for a bathroom stop it's inside the Shell station between the DQ/Shell. For food choices you only have Dairy Queen, Jersey Mikes inside of Shell or the Shell station. But if you want more food choices there is a Taco Bell down the street by Chevron, Mad Greek farther down or a random Mexican Restaurant. If you really want more food choices farther down the road you have a Jack in the box, Del Taco, Denny's about a mile away. The super charger station isn't super packed so you do get your full v2 150kW speeds. Everyone mostly knows the proper Tesla charging etiquette to not park directly next to each other to optimize charge speeds too so everyone is very spread out. Nothing fancy here just a quick top up and bathroom break to stretch your legs. read more

Not a place where I plan to stop ever again. Tons of chargers with more seemingly under construction. However, I had to move my car 5 times to get to a charger that wasn't super slow or completely broken. (I later realized the app has the long list of all the broken ones. But who wants to drive around in 100+° heat checking numbers before you can charge?). As a 9-year Tesla owner I have to say that the Baker supercharger represents the downside of all-electric driving. Restroom was crowded & stinky. read more

OC to Las Vegas Pros Baker is the perfect stop if you are looking to make it to Las Vegas in one stop. Plenty of chargers Easy to find Non Tesla chargers available Popular spot. I hope everyone stops here so the other Tesla Supercharger location are free. Cons I will Baker was at the midpoint but it's more 2/3 of way. Personally, I rather just keep going and not stop on the way to Vegas in the last 100 miles It can get windy and dusty Doesn't have the Tesla vibes. Not that all Tesla owners are bougie however some of us think our crap don't stink. This stop is not fancy. The food options are fine. Vegas to OC Pros Can't think of any... It's a good stop if Primm chargers are full; however I'm assuming most people have already charged their car in Vegas before leaving so this is too soon. Popular spot. I hope everyone stops here so the other Tesla Supercharger location are free. Cons If you decide to one stop on the way back to OC, you will need to wait the maximum amount to get a big charge of 90 or 100 percent. Multiple stops leads to less waiting. Great place to charge your Tesla here and not worry it will be full. This place has 40 150 KW Superchargers stalls with covered parking. The most I've seen it is about 22 stalls taken at one time. The charge is 38 cents per kilowatts at all times. It's conveniently located next to gas station, convenient stores, Jersey Mike subs, Dairy Queen and restrooms. Love how there are 40 stalls here. You drive forward into them and they all have cover from the sun. Location is perfect - depending on which direction you're going you charge up to prepare for the uphill climb (15N) or recharge after making the uphill climb coming back from Vegas or beyond (15S). There's a Dairy Queen and a Shell Gas Station Convenience Store next door. Picked up a couple of ice cold Gatorades to cool off from the heat. Other places to check out nearby like the Country Store to grab some Dole Whip. read more

There is a shell station next to it with a Dairy Queen, for some snacks and restroom. It is good that there are solar panels that covers the stations! Keep note, these cords are hella short! Chances are really good that you'll find an open stall at this charging station. There are 40 stalls at this location. While waiting for the car to finish charging, you can walk over to the Shell gas station to use their restroom. In addition to the availability of snacks or drinks at the gas station convenience store, there was also a Jersey Mike's Subs and Dairy Queen here. Looking on Google Maps, you can also walk down a bit further if you want to eat at Los Dos Toritos Restaurant or The Mad Greek. read more

Good amount of super chargers, fast food and restrooms, but wish there was a better way to determine if the back slots are free. They need those green and red sensors for parking lots. Thank for the community has some nice people who will flag people over when people leave, but it isn't always the case. For all those people coming north to this stop, if it's a busy weekend the line starts from the south end into the parking lot so you have to u-turn. Also 70kW max on busy days. Stopped at this place to use the restroom. There are a few fastfood walking distance from the charge. Near the charger fast food restaurants are Diary queen and Jersey Mike's sub. So there are 40 Tesla superchargers at this location, 10:00 a.m. on a Saturday, there's about nine of them that are taken which isn't bad. It's located inside the Shell gas station which also has a electricfy America charging station with 12 units, a dairy Queen, and a Jersey Mike's. The bathrooms are located outside with a jail cell like fence feature around it in case you're trying to smuggle toilet paper across the desert ‍ lol Grab a sandwich or something and then head over to charge your car. Driving Los Angeles - Las Vegas every two weeks, we all had an unpleasant experience, with a small Superchargers, when you see only two or three stalls available and by the time you arrive they all either taken or not working. Sounds familiar, right? But this place is so huge! From the very first day Tesla opened this location 3 years ago, we never had this problem, always plenty stations for any one, no matter how busy the traffic any day of the week. Stopped here due to the extensive number of chargers, but started charging at one of the newer 250kw chargers in the back of the lot and was only getting 16kw. So switched to one of the older chargers in the front and got more like 75kw. Bathrooms were dirty. The adjacent Dairy Queen was a plus, but the price gouging was crazy -- more than double normal Dairy Queen prices! read more

Wooo this place is fast! Or at least it felt that way in the scorching hot heat. We (2 dudes and a dog), were able to use the bathroom at the Jersey Mikes / Shell (the 2 dudes). Otherwise there were only 2 other Tesla's and we charged to 80% in like 30min. Only reason it's four stars is because there is basically nothing else here. This Tesla Supercharger has a gas station and a regular charger right after each other. There are 5 rows of Superchargers so it does get filled quickly. Make sure to look on your Tesla to see how many spaces are filled before going. The gas station has a Dairy Queen and many places, walking distance, to eat. Dairy Queen food was pretty awful, I'm sure the ice cream is good though (how can you screw up ice cream?) Jersey Mike's subs were spot on, as usual. We hit the chargers on the way to and from Vegas. Convenient location between Las Vegas and Los Angeles. 40 charging stations available under a large solar paneled cover. Close to Dairy Queen and Jersey Mike's if you are feeling peckish. The bathrooms were not the most sanitary but functional. My recommendation is plug in and then walk 10 minutes down the road to the Mad Greek for some yummy gyros sandwiches. The rice that comes with the sandwiches is very good too. Peak charging is around 92KW and 325 mi/hr. Got us back on the road pretty quickly. Yay! read more

40 superchargers in Baker, CA! At 6:00 am its just me and my 3. There is no waiting to charge out here in Baker. Located at the beginning of Baker if you are headed to Las Vegas. The end of Baker if your bound for LA. There is little around but a Shell station and its convenience store. They have a bathroom and its decent. If its hot out (100 degrees) don't think you are going to walk down to the Mad Greek or anything. Its snacks from the Shell station or nothing. Advise planning ahead and packing something to eat while you charge. So its kind of isolated at the end of town so one star off for that. Wish there was a Tesla lounge like Kettleman or even Eddies world like Yermo. But if you are coming out from LA and are not sure your battery will make it to Primm, then Baker is a good place to take a break and charge. Recommend. read more
